Judy woke up, got ready for work and left her apartment. On the way out of her apartment complex, She received a text from Nick, saying that he had a errand to run and that he would meet her at The ZPD.
Upon seeing this, Judy felt disappointed, mostly because of the before work-hangout time with Nick that she would be missing out on.
Judy arrived at the ZPD, said her daily hello to Clawhauser and headed for the bull pin for roll call. She saw that Nick hadn't showed up yet. She took her chair and not five minutes later, Nick walked in and took his seat, right next to Judy. "Heyyy Carrots, how's your morning been?"
"It's been great" she lied. In all truth it had been horrible, on the way to work she had slipped on some ice and had took a very hard fall. She also was upset because for the first time since he had joined the force, her and Nick hadn't walked to work together.
"Well I'm glad you had a good morning Carrots, I've had a very good morning myself". Judy was about to ask him about his morning when Bogo Barged in and gave his routine morning orders.
"Hopps and Wilde…tundra town patrol, DISMISSED!"
Judy was just glad and relieved to hear that her and nick would be spending the day together again. Judy and Nick left the ZPD in their Cruiser and headed towards tundra town. The day was going pretty fast, pretty soon Judy realized it was already Lunch Time.
"Nick? What's a good place to eat for lunch?" "How about that Nice Burger joint? You know, right by that store that was robbed the other day." Nick Replied
"Alright sounds good to me slick." Judy Replied. She pulled the Cruiser over to the burger joint and she shut off the car. Nick and Judy got out of the car and headed in for what was hopefully to be a nice lunch. Just as Nick and Judy had gotten their food, Judy saw a medium sized rat running from the store that had been robbed 3 days ago. Her and Nick jumped up and sprained into action, raced out of the fast food restaurant, and across the street and tackled the rodent.
However during the altercation, Nick's paw had grabbed Judy's paw, completely accidental of course, considering both had tackled the rodent together. Judy was very ecstatic, they had caught the bad guy and she had gotten a chance to have Nick touch her. Had Nick's Eyes not been on the rat, or had he not been focused on cuffing the rodent, he wouldn't have missed the blush on Judy's Face.
After a legitimate search and seizure, they located the diamonds that taken from the jewelry store. Judy suddenly had a violent flashback of Deja Vu to her dream, when she had dreamt that her and Nick had caught the thief and that the thief was a rodent. Judy just stared at the ground in disbelief. The first part of her dream had come true.
At the end of her shift, Judy was walking out and noticed that Nick was not behind her, again she looked back and saw Nick texting on his phone again, she frowned knowing that he would probably wouldn't be walking home with her, again.
She heard Nick yell "You go on without me Carrots, I'll see you tomorrow!" She froze right in her tracks. That was the same thing that dream Nick had said to her. The Second part of her dream had come true.
She figured she had to know what her Nickolas was up to, she had to know why he was blowing her off. She waved back and left the precinct. However instead of going home, she darted to a parked car and hid behind it. She watched Bogo and Nick exchange some conversation "Nick, it is well deserved, take the weekend off"
Nick and Bogo then parted their ways. Nick was as exactly as he was in her dream. He was very happy and excited after looking down at his phone. Just as she had saw in her dream, she saw a shadowy figure walk up behind Nick and scare the living crap out of him. "I got you Nicky, that's one for me!"
The figure said. "Tatum Tatum, Tatum, I let you get that one." The figure revealed herself to be a very gorgeous female fox or a vixen. The Vixen looked like the figure in her dream, only a lot more detail. She had nice fur, a nice face and she looked very nice. Judy then witnessed the female vixen whisper something into the foxes ear, making him laugh and wag his tail. Nick then took her paw and led her down the street away from the now dark and locked ZPD.
Judy couldn't believe what she had just witnessed. She had just realized that Nick was hiding something, and the fact that this made night number three, that he had abandoned her for this "Tatum". Judy was fighting like hell not to cry. She felt a pain in her chest as she walked home in the dark while tears rained down her cheeks.
"Judy finally arrived home, her sad one bedroom apartment with paper thin walls.
"Judy dropped her stuff, locked the door and got ready for bed. Staring at the ceiling, she contemplated today's events. Almost every aspect of her "nightmare" had come true today. She had caught the bad guy, and had learned that Nick was potentially avoiding her was potentially seeing someone.
"In all reality, this thought scared her. "Why didn't he tell me!" Judy wondered. Judy was actually glad he didn't, she would have lost it to find out that Nick was dating someone. Judy didn't want to imagine what they were potentially doing right now and she also wondered why for the first time, Nick had skipped their hangout session before work, and that didn't sit well with Judy.
At first Judy saw her and Nick as best friends, but everyday she got to know Nick for what he really was, she got to know him very well. How he would like his coffee. With Cream and no sugar. How fuzzy his fur was, how cute his grin was. WAIT!Did she call him cute again?!
Well in all honesty, she really did think he was cute, as her crush on him had grown more and more every day. Even though she gave him the death stare every time he called her cute.
Judy actually secretly liked it, being called cute, but she only liked it when Nick did it. Over the course of a year, she had grown very very close to Nick. Then reality set in, she pulled out her phone and looked at the no so secret picture she had taken while he had dozed off during the stake out. "He really is handsome" she thought. Judy wanted to cry when she saw he peaceful he looked. Her crush on Nick had grown and grown, and when Nick had blown her off, a little piece of her heart had shattered.
