That night Judy didn't dream anything. She couldn't figure out if that was a good or bad thing. She woke up, ate a couple carrots and got ready for the day. She had received a text message from Bogo that for her hard work, she was to have the weekend off and report to work Monday morning.

She was getting dressed and suddenly she received a text message, thinking it was from Bogo, she walked over to her phone and read the text message, to her surprise, it was from Nick.

"How's my sly bunny doing? )" Judy felt her heart pitter patter in her chest, at least Nick wasn't totally ignoring her.

Her response was just as good "I'm doing good, how's my dumb fox doing? ;)"

His response "I'm doing good too. Just wanted to check in on my Favorite Rabbit/Partner ;)"

"Nick, i'm the only rabbit you know ;)".

"Hahahaha carrots, that is true ;), well i'm going to bed and I'll talk to you later. Have a great weekend and i'll see you Monday. Sweet Dreams :)"

Judy smiled and put down her phone, thinking of her best friend and her partner.

She really liked nick as a friend and she really wished how Nick really felt about her, but could her and Nick ever be more than Friends? More or less Judy decided she needed a reset, she needed a break.

Judy had decided to get away for the weekend, She decided that she was going to go home and see her family, something that she hadn't done since she and Nick had that very heated argument that had almost destroyed their friendship.

Judy Packed her things, locked her apartment and headed for the Zootopia Train Station. She Purchased her train ticket and headed for Bunny Burrow.

She arrived in bunny burrow about an hour later, she was greeted by her parents and hundreds of siblings. Her mother Bonnie and her father Stu engulfed her in a giant hug. She got in the family car and headed for home. Bonnie noticed that Judy wasn't as happy as she usually was, she wondered why her daughter wasn't being like her normal self.

"Judy, what's on your mind?" Bonnie asked, breaking the silence during the ride home.

"Oh nothing", Judy lied. Unfortunately for Judy, Her mother was able to tell when she was lying. Her mother knew her all to well. "Judy your lying, I don't believe you one second" CRAP, Judy thought. " tell me what's on your mind" she heard her mother repeat.

"It's nothing really, I'm just been going through a lot at work"

"Like what sweetie?" her mother replied.

"It's my partner nick, Judy confessed. "He's been ignoring me lately. Like we would hangout before and work and we don't do that anymore".

Bonnie, who was alarmed that Judy was this close to a Fox, and relieved that this fox was leaving her alone replied

"Well honey, maybe he is busy." Her mother instincts started to kick in and she realized how upset Judy really was. "Judy" "yes Mom?" Judy said as she was trying to hold back tears.

"Has he done this before?"

"No he hasn't". Judy replied.

"I think he might be seeing someone."

"Well that's great, isn't it?" Her mother replied, trying to be supportive. Bonnie looked to jury and saw that more disappointment had settled on her face. Judy was on the verge of tears.

"No mom it isn't great, Ever since Nick has been talking to this mysterious fox, he has been ignoring me" Judy said sadly.

"So Judy, does Nick hanging with this female fox bother you?"

"Yes, Yes it does", Bonnie's Next question was one she was dreading asking the most. But Judy seemed upset and her mother thought she needed to hear it.

"Well would you ever see Nick and you more than friends?"

"MOM!"

"What Judy, I'm just curious about your love live, Its obvious that you wont give the bucks we send you even a chance."

Her mother knew, that whenever Judy called her parents, she would always talk about Nick this and Nick that. Bonnie was worried at first, and was still worried. But she knew that Nick meant a lot to Judy, maybe too much. She had come to the conclusion that Judy liked nick, and not just in a friendly way. But Bonnie felt that she would have to support Judy no matter what.

"Judith Hopps, I am waiting for a answer" she heard her mother reply.

"Well I mean Maybe, I could see us as more than friends but I am so afraid that he won't feel the same way or that he would just want to stay friends."

After Minutes of an uncomfortable silence, Bonnie Spoke up "Judy, maybe you should just talk to him about it. You know, tell him how you feel."

WHAT!? Judy exclaimed. Judy knew that Nick was one her of few friends in Zootopia, sure she had Mr Big's Daughter as a good friend, but Nick was her really only Male friend, and Judy had fallen for him hard. The risk of losing him as a friend was too great, Judy didn't even want to think about what she would do without Nick.

"I don't think that would be a great Idea" Judy said to her mother.

"It wouldn't hurt talking to your dreamy friend about your problem." Bonnie Smirked

"MOM!" Judy screamed. Blushing like crazy.

"Well I know he means a lot to you, you need to talk to him" Her mother pulled up to the burrow and turned off the car. "I'm going to go make some lunch, I bet you must be starving. Go get settled in your room and I will call you when food is ready."

With That Bonnie got out of the car and headed into the house to fix some lunch for Judy. Judy grabbed her things and went to her room for her to ponder her thoughts.

2 Days Later

Judy returned home late from her weekend getaway at Bunny Burrow, she walked into her apartment, closed the door, and got ready for bed. Once she was all cozied up in her bed, she contemplated on how tomorrow was going to go. How was she going to confront Nick about him ignoring her. Judy however didn't have the time to think for the answer to that question, as she had already fallen into a dreamless sleep.

Judy arrived at work very nervous about how her day was going to turn out, was it going to turn out bad? Good. She hopped for the latter of the two. She stood watch at the front door to the ZPD, waiting for Nick to show up. She had texted him that she needed to talk to him and that it was urgent.

About ten minutes later Judy sees Nick outside, with that fox… Her heartbeat suddenly started to race. As she sees the two foxes exchange hugs. She bolts behind a trash trying to listen to their conversation.

"Awe Nick, do you really have to go!?" She heard the female fox say,

"Yes Tatum, yes I do". Nick Replied

"Well my handsome foxy, I'll just have to wait till you get done with your shift" she replied with a smirk then looked into his eyes and kissed him.

The emotions descended on Judy like a predator on its prey, Like a Lion on a Zebra.

Judy had not only witnessed Nick, her partner and her secret crush, getting kissed, but she had witnessed him kissing her back.

Judy felt anger, betrayal, sadness, and most of all, Jealousy. "This is such mistake, I can't tell him" Judy thought as she ran to the nearest bathroom while trying to hold back tears, hiding her face and getting a few odd stares in the process. But she didn't care, Nick had just broken her heart.

Nick was in heaven, his long time friend Tatum Skyye, a very gorgeous vixen, had finally kissed him. He hadn't felt this good since he and Judy had made up after her and Nick had gotten into a fight concerning the predator vs prey scandal. He knew that Judy was waiting inside, wanting to speak to him about something, and he knew he probably shouldn't keep her waiting.

After breaking the kiss with his girlfriend, Nick went inside the station but he couldn't find Judy. He checked the bull pin, her cubicle, the lunchroom, the break room, and he still couldn't find her.

Judy laid in the bathroom stall for nearly 2 hours and cried her heart out. She was a nervous wreck, her cheeks were very red, from Crying and Crying. She hadn't felt this bad since, well never. She knew that she had missed Role Call, but she didn't want to be anywhere near Nick. She decided that she didn't need to work today and that using her sick days would be best. She got up, wiped her tears from her face and headed to Bogo's Office.

"Wait! What?!" Bogo Roared,

"Sir I'm not feeling too well and I wouldn't want to get the other officers sick."

"Hopps, are you sure?, This is not like you at all to want to go home"

Deep down Bogo knew something was off, first of all he had witnessed Judy run into the bathroom, and it looked like she had been crying. Second, Judy Hopps wasn't a quitter, he had personally witnessed her demand work when she was horribly sick, he couldn't have dragged her away. Bogo knew this wasn't even remotely serious as it was before. He knew something else was going on. But he needed to get back to work and he shuddered at the thought of him sending other officers home.

Finally He conceded "Judy, go home and take a couple days off, report to my office on Wednesday morning" Judy just sat there stunned, as she couldn't believe that Bogo had bought her excuse. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. "Just one moment, Hopps, you are dismissed", Judy took that as her queue to leave.

"Come In"

"Mr Bogo sir, have you seen Judy I can't find her anywhe—JUDY! I've been looking all over for you" Nick exclaimed. Judy looked at him with a blank expression as she sniffled, she got down from the high perched chair and walked right by Nick, not even saying a word. Chief Bogo could sense tension between the two. Nick saw as Judy walked by, ignoring him. Slamming the door to chief Bogo's Office. Leaving a confused Nick and angry Bogo inside.

Judy climbed down the stairs and headed for the the exit."Hey Clawhauser?"

"Yes Judy? Is everything alright?"

"I'm going home sick for a couple days, can you hold onto my badge for me?" Clawhauser was utterly shocked, he knew very well how much Judy loved her police badge.

"Sure of course Judy" he said in his positive tone.

"Thanks Clawhauser, at least I can count on you." Judy sniffled, as a tear rolled down her cheek, she grabbed her badge and un hooked it from her shirt, and handed it over to Clawhauser, who was very hesitant to take it.

"Judy is there something else that is wrong?" He pleaded As it looked as though he was about to cry.

"It's Nothing, I'm just not feeling too well" she said blankly, she didn't even believe herself at this point. "Well if there is ANYTHING you need, you don't hesitate to let me know okay." He was relieved to see her smile back at him.

"Thanks Clawhauser, your the best!" as she proceeded to give him a big hug. It felt good to know that he had her back, despite her long time partner and best friend, hadn't.

Judy broke the hug and headed for the door. When she was just about to the door, she felt a paw being placed on her shoulder. "Judy what's the matter? Is everything okay?".

She turned around to see Nick, suddenly the anger and the tears came roaring back.

"NO Nick, I'M NOT OKAY, WHAT DO YOU CARE?" She snarled back as she flicked his paw off her shoulder. Clawhauser looked in horror as he witnessed Judy's angry outburst. Nick had jolted back three feet out of panic. Nick had never heard her yell like that, nor had he ever seen her this upset. He looked at her and then she bolted out the door. She didn't care where she was going, she just had to get out of here.

Judy ran down the street towards her apartment complex, trying very hard not to cry. When she made it to her apartment, it was the straw that broke the camel's back. Judy just lost it. She started crying and crying, more and more tears running down her face. Unbeknownst to Judy, Nick was right on her tail, trying to catch up to her. Eventually he found himself standing outside her apartment door. Listening to her cry had calmed down, her crying had toned down and she had regained her composure, up until Nick, knocked at her door.

"Judy please open up". He heard the sniffles stop on the other side,

"NO" he heard from the other side of the door. He knocked again

"GO AWAY" She cried with tears on her cheeks. Nick was taken aback, he was completely dumbfounded as to why Judy was acting this way. He felt hurt that she was ignoring him.

"Judy! Please open up, please!" Nick begged, on the verge of tears himself.

Nothing could have prepared Nick for what Judy did next…
