I had several chapters on an old computer that died. I am trying to remember what I had happing. I think I hat hot Rod get drunk and "kidnap" a sleeping Sarah for a bit and something about a new paint job but then I was like, forget it, I'll just make a new story. Also this appears to be turning into a cross over.
****************************Berbils village********************************
The moon was rising as Hot Rod and Bumblebee drove into the village. There had been enough of a dirt road to transform and roll out for the majority of the drive to this village. As they changed back they noticed the flurry of fun fair activity. Music, lights, dancing. But the beauty of it all was lost on the duo as a somber looking Optimus beckoned them to come.
"Jazz!" They both shouted seeing his face after so many orns. He gave them both a quick hug.
Hot Rod took in his old scars and patched up work. Jazz had seen better day. At least Ratchet had been able to get both of Jazz's optics to function again.
"What's the plan Optimus?" Bumblebee asked quickly. He was getting increasingly anxious to find Sarah.
"Ironhide, Hot Rod and I will take the road that goes around the mountain back to where we left out ship. Should be faster than returning the way we came. Using the spark tracer we will locate Sarah and send you and Ratchet coordinated to meet us at." Bumblebee nodded.
Optimus continued, "Jazz you have been in the world a long time. I need you here for a temporary base. We will need your help for terrain and hazards Sarah might have befallen. You have your orders. Autobots, roll out!" Optimus commanded.
They autobots transformed much to the delight of the few berbils and fair market attendees who were still awake.
"Once we get outside the village we'll be able to get some read speed right Optimus?" Hot Rod asked through the comm link system.
"Right you are Hot Rod. Autobots, pedal to the metal."
******************************Cat's lair**********************************
"So she's a human? That's a new one." Wily Kat said standing in the hall next to Sarah's room. Wily Kit and Kat had tactfully not badgered Sarah with questions; she could not answer, at dinner.
"I've checked the data files. Human isn't listed anywhere in the system." Cheetara added. "So it's either a new species or a very rare, near extinct one."
"I'd put my money on the second option. No claws, no sharp teeth and not physically strong either." Tygra added with a shake of his head sadly. "Had that blow to the head happened to one of us, it wouldn't have been so damaging."
The door across the hall opened with a quiet whoosh. "How is she?" Lion-O asked as Panthro came out of the room Sarah was currently using.
"Sleeping quietly now. Still has a knot on her head but its improving." Panthro assessed his strangely quiet lord. "Is something wrong Lion-O?"
"I'm not sure Panthro. I just have a funny feeling but the sword of Omens doesn't indicated trouble." Lion-O said with a shake of his head. "It's probably nothing. I'll head to bed now."
"We could all use some sleep. Good night everyone." Cheetara said as the thundercats split up to head to their bedrooms.
"Good night." Panthro called after his friends. Panthro was on watch for the first half of the night and went to check the computer scans. A few hours later Tygra took over.
While Panthro liked to watch for trouble through computer screens Tygra preferred a more hands on way as he began to scout the cat lair on foot. The twins were sleeping soundly; no doubt warn out by all the excitement. Not only had they been chatting wildly over dinner about the new mechanical autobots, the party the Berbils wanted to throw and they had adored Sarah almost at first sight. Kit and Kat were still such kittens sometimes. So curious about anything new.
The Thundercats would be going to the berbil village tomorrow to meet these autobots. They had known Jazz for a while and also that he had been in a war. It would be nice to put names to faces from all the stories Jazz told.
A cool breeze blew past Tygra on the stairs. "That's funny, the balcony door is open." Tygra said to himself on full alert. This wouldn't be the first time the cat's lair was attacked. He pulled out his whip, readying for a fight as he leaned against the side of the door and looked out.
He put his whip away. Sarah was back into her fuzzy white clothing, which while impractical during the heat of the day was perfect for the cold night. Her long hair was blowing in the breeze. The moonlight seemed to enhance just how oddly pale she was.
"Sarah what are you doing out here?" Tygra spoke as he stepped out onto the balcony.
She turned to look at him, the stain of tears still on her cheeks. "Had a nightmare and I just needed some fresh air, is that okay?"
Tygra nodded joining her. "Of course, you are a guest, not a prisoner. Were they dreams Sarah or memories?" He asked and regretted it as she began to shake and another tear slipped.
"Dreams I hope. Gun fire, black ooze, screaming, that horrible laugh just a lot of bad things. If that was what was happening to me. Then I owe you and the Thundercats my life." Sarah sighed. "But I need to know for sure. I have to try and remember. Do you think Tygra, you could take me back to where you found me yesterday? It might help jog my memory."
Tygra put his hands on her shoulders as he joined her in gazing over the dark land. "If you feel up to the trip of course we can. I'll let Lion-O and the other know we will meet them at the Berbil village later."
Sarah nodded and returned to watching the stars. For a long time she was silent. Tygra stood behind her and she lean slightly against him, drawing comfort from his presence. After a while she spoke. "I feel like part of me belongs here but my other half." She reached up towards the sky. "Feels like I should be up there."
Tygra gave her shoulders a gently squeeze. They stayed like that for an hour or so before Sarah became to drowse to stay awake. Tygra helped her back to bed and sleep finally claimed her once more.
**********************************Autobot ship*****************************
"Primus no." Optimus thought as they reached the ship. "This can't be happening." He thought staring at the damaged ship. Parts of it were still smoking. Some of the space glass was cracked. It had sustained quite a bit of exterior damage.
"These don't look like deception burn marks but low burn laser weapons, more then likely, fired from other small airships." Ironhide said as he checked over the ship.
"Is the door still locked?" Optimus asked.
Hot Rod nodded from next to the landing door. "Seems to be but a lot of weapon fire here on the plating. Someone really wanted inside. The creatures, pirates, Bee and I fought before had laser weapons." Hot Rod ran his hand over the chare marks on the outer door.
"Hot Rod you and Ironhide wait out here. I will check for damage inside and retrieve the spark tracker." As upsetting as it was finding his ship damaged, Optimus still had a duty to locate the all spark.
Inside damage was minimal, though several items had been broken as the ship must have rocked back and forth with each blast.
Optimus returned to his friends. "Minimal internal damage but…" He held out the spark tracker, the main cell having been cracked as it had fallen from a shelf. "We will need Ratchet to repair this before we can locate Sarah." Optimus sighed, suddenly feeling like he had failed Sarah, failed cybertron and all the autobots scattered to the stars. "Ironhide, stay and guard the ship. Hot Rod and I will return to the others."
Ironhide nodded. "I'll start repairs here as best I can. Good Luck."
********************Cat's Lair*******************************
"Snarf Good morning Sarah." A voice called stirring Sarah from her deep slumber. She yawned and stretched before returning the greeting "G'morning Snarf." She said voice full of sleep and with another yawn.
The red dragon dwarf cat creature looked at her. "Didn't you sleep well?"
Sarah rubbed at her face. "I'm fine." She smiled at him.
"Good snarf snarf. Breakfast is in 10 minutes." Snarf was already getting the striped dress Sarah had used yesterday brining it over. "I can do your hair if you want when you are done dressing."
Sarah nodded and as Snarf covered his eyes with his tail she dressed once more into Wily Kits spare clothes. The moment she was done Snarf had her sit on the edge of the bed, pulling his tall stool over to her, he began to comb though her long, yet tangled locks.
"I can do a regular cat tail or a braided cat tail if you like or twin cat tails. Snarf snarf." He said as he combed.
"Whatever you think is best." Sarah mumbled enjoying the feel of having someone stroke her hair. Snarf's little claws were scratching ever so gently yet pleasingly on her head. A sudden smell caused Sarah to wrinkle her nose. "Snarf is something burning?" Sarah asked as an ashy burnt smell crawled into her room.
"The MUFFINS! Oh No!" He yelled before comically rushing from the room Sarah's hair half done.
Sarah giggled slightly and began pulling at her hair. Just what had Snarf been doing back there? She didn't hear the door open again.
"Keep pulling like that and it will tangle more." Cheetara said coming into the room.
Sarah smiled, still fighting with her locks. "Snarf was working on it but…"
"Here let me." Cheetara spoke gently and pick up the brush Snarf had drop. Cheetara's touch was different then Snarf's. It was almost motherly, as she combed out the long thin, soft strands of Sarah's hair Cheetara hummed softly.
"There all done. What do you think?" She asked holding up a mirror. "I've always liked twin cat tails."
Sarah looked at her refection for a moment. "Pony tails, we call these pony tails and they look great thank you Cheetara." The door opened once more and the twin thunder kitten raced into the room. "There you are! You're gonna miss breakfast." Wily Kat said, his sister right on his heels.
Cheetara couldn't help but laugh a bit as the twins practically carried Sarah out into the hall. Laughing and chattering and playing. Cheetara followed after running into Lion-O on the way to the dining area. "Did you see the twins and Sarah go by?" She asked.
He nodded, smile on his lips. "You mean to say did I see the twins practically carrying her to breakfast? Yes I did."
The both laughed for a moment before Cheetara became serious. "Lion-O Do you have a moment? I would like to speak with you about Sarah. If her memories never come back and if we can't find where she belongs, I think she should stay with us."
Lion-O nodded, "Funny you should ask that. Panthro asked the same thing just a few minutes ago and I agree most heartedly. I do not think she would survive for long alone on Third Earth and everyone seems to be fond of her."
As Lion-O and Cheetara entered the dining area everyone was already eating and talking, especially Wily Kit and Kat.
"I can't wait to take you to the Berbil village today. Not only is it festival time but our friend Jazz, his friends finally arrived." Wily Kit chatted away from his seat beside Sarah shoving a slightly burned muffin into his mouth.
"Wait till you see Optimus Prime, he's such an amazing warrior." Wily Kat added, crushing a bit from the stories Jazz had told her.
"Optimus Prime?" Sarah repeated. That name felt familiar in her heart but her head could not quite place it. "Are they Thundercats?"
"Nope giant metal men. Robots sort of like the Berbils." Kit explained.
"As fun as that sounds, and it does sound fun, Tygra promised to take me back to the spot where he found me to see if I can remember anything." It hurt watching Wily Kit and Kat suddenly look so sad. They had really been looking forward to showing Sarah the Beribil village and meeting their friends.
Tygra noticed the change in the room. "Say now, Sarah can still come. We will both join you later at the Berbil village, if that is alright with you Lion-O?" Tygra asked glancing at the Lord of the Thunder Cats.
"Of course, we must do everything we can to help Sarah get her memories back." Lion-O agreed.
Soon after breakfast Tyrga and Sarah set out for the short walk to the forest while the rest of the thundercats headed to the Berbil village.
***********************Dark Pyramid********************************
Mumm-Ra watched in his black cauldron, as the girl and Tyrga the thundercat began to walk back into the woods. The other making their way to the Berbil village. Now was the time to act.
"Slythe! Monkian! Jackelman! Come to me!" Mumm-Ra commanded from his throne. A moment later three mutants teleported into the throne room.
Slythe, the brutish leader of the reptilians, a race of Lizard men. Bipedal great lizards, standing on two legs with long tails. Although he lacks sophistication, his intuitive cunning is considerable. Domineering, impatient and quick tempered.
Monkian, the tall, white furred, shifty no-good eavesdropper. The excitable leader of the Simians, a race of ape like men. He is a scout and often one to avoid danger.
Jackelman, the cautious and distrustful coward who leads a race of humanoid jackals. Though he is one to take any advantage presented to him, Jackalman often sides with Slythe to keep from being the scapegoat when plans fail.
"You call oh evil one?" Slythe asked as the three mutants half bowed to the ever living Mumm-Ra.
Mumm-Ra pointed to his all-seeing cauldron. "That girl with the Thundercats, I want her." The cauldron changed showing Sarah with Tygra heading into the woods while the other thundercats headed to the Berbil village. "Slythe you and Jacklman, take some men, attack the Berbil village. When Lion-O uses the sword of Omens, Tygra will abandon his ward to go help the others. Then you, Monkian, will bring her to me unharmed and alive."
"Ooh Ah, as you wish Mumm-Ra." Monkian answered glad to receive the easier of the tasks. Capture a little thing like that should be no trouble.
Mumm-Ra dismissed them with a wave of his boney hand. "Go now and do not fail me."
*****************************Woods************************************
"It's beautiful out here." Sarah mused absentmindedly wandering around as Tygra lead the way through the forest.
"It is, but it can also be quite dangerous." Tygra said, suddenly lifting Sarah up around the waist and swinging her to his opposite side, as a large gooey bubble burst from the, just a moment ago, very solid looking ground. "Quick goo, very sticky and very deceptive. Once you fall in it's very hard to get out of alone." Tygra explained.
Sarah nodded and stuck closer to Tygra. Tygra smiled slightly as this but said nothing.
They walked a little father before coming to a clearing. The trees here were scorched and broken, the ground trodden flat. "Here is where I found you. You had been following a unicorn into this clearing and became ensnared in a net."
Sarah who had been kneeling to look at the large marks in the ground snapped her head towards Tygra/ "Unicorn? Really a unicorn? Of all things, why did I forget that?"
"Are unicorns important to you?" Tygra asked, suddenly hoping that unlike the berserkers, humans did not eat unicorns.
Sarah nodded, eyes wide with dreaming. "I've been told stories since I was little about the beauty and magic of unicorns but I've never seen one."
Tygra smiled and gave a kind hearted laugh at Sarah's excitement. "There are many unicorns in this forest. If you want to see another I am sure we can find one."
"Really? Tygra that would be amazing! I…" Red light flashed over Tygra's eyes and suddenly he was serious looking up into the sky. The symbol of the thunder cats reflected in the air like a beacon.
"The others are in trouble. Sarah stay right here. I will be back as soon as I can. Do not leave this clearing." Tygra ordered and seeing Sarah nod he took off with a speed she could not follow.
The sunny clearing grew quiet. Very strangely quiet. A leaf fluttered down slowly from the tree. It was her only warning.
Something thumped behind her and Sarah turned.
"Pretty human, ooh ooh wanna play?" Monkian asked holding a rope in one hand he grab for Sarah with the other. She was frozen for a moment but as his furry hand touched her arm she reacted kicking the monkey man hard in the shin and taking off across the clearing.
"Ow! Ooh ooh You'll pay for that!" he screeched taking to the trees in pursue, hot on her heels. The tree top route was faster and he was gaining quickly on her head start.
