I was in my bed wallowing in my sorrows when I heard the click that symbolized someone was coming in. Somehow I wasn't afraid of the culprit that entered my house. I had been accustomed to Parker's nightly visits. Now I almost needed it so I wouldn't feel as alone as I felt now. For a couple of minutes it was silent. Soon enough Parker broke the silent with her neutral voice.

"You are pathetic."

"Excuse me?" I say confused at her harsh words.

"I said you're pathetic just like my mom."

"Pathetic?"

"You're chasing after a man who doesn't want you, who doesn't need you, who doesn't love you." She said looking me straight in the eye. "Don't you understand? He wishes he could love you but he can't actually he won't, so why bother chasing after him?"

"Parker you don't understand. I love him. When you love someone you stick with them for better for worse. Through thick and thin you stick with them."

She stood up and turned her back on me, then turned her head to look back at me for a quick sec.

"If that's the case why doesn't he stick to you?" she smirked before she walked out the door but, I could still hear her mumble those two words pathetic.

"You don't know anything! He loves me" I said if only to convince myself.
