I don't think this will be a very long chapter because I only have this one scene that I thought up and I wanted to write it down. Maybe the chapter will be bigger then I think...Oh well. Don't forget chapter 10!

The sky was overcast that fall morning, an almost depressing start to the day for many.

A certain green-eyed hero yawned as he along with his shadow were dragged around the open park, viewing the various stalls that have been set up for sales by his enthusiastic cousin. She was beaming as they stopped by practically every open-ended shop in every lane to view their wares.

Damian grumbled angrily under his breathe, "She is way to damn chipper in the morning."

"I-yawn- know." Ben replied, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, "Don't know why we had to come this early."

"Oh the irony is glorious."

"Shut up!"

A particular shop finally caught Gwen's attention long enough for her cousin and Damian to rest. An assortment of glittering gemstones were laid out on tiny platforms and cushions, giving them the appearance of being real precious gems instead of fakes.

"Wow." Gwen said, a touch of awe in her voice, "These are really well made."

The owner of the staff puffed with pride at Gwen's statement, "Aye! Spent quite a lot of time crafting each one by hand. You've got a good eye miss."

Damian turned towards Ben, "We're gonna be here a while huh?"

Ben sighed, "Yup."

The two watched in the background as Gwen carefully observed each piece of jewelry and were silently debating if a pissed of Gwen later was worth ditching her now. They were just about to depart when-

"You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?"

Two loud shrieks broke the calm clatter, drawing the eyes of everyone in the park who shrugged and went on with their business. Gwen herself nearly dropped trinket she was examining, nearly giving herself a backlash from how fast she spun around.

Ben and Damian held similar terrified/horrified expression on their faces as they clutched each other in a frightened embrace.

Standing in front of them was a tall man with orange hair, narrow eyes and the creepiest smile Gwen had ever seen. A collection of maskes were set up on display while the creepy man himself carried a wide array of other masks attached to his clothes.

The grin on his face widened somehow and became even creepier, "My~ Did I frighten you? Hmm hmm hmm." He gave a creepy laugh that made the hairs on Gwen's neck stand up.

Without losing that creepy smirk, the man plucked four masks from the hooks on his sleeve and held them out to the two in front of him. "I believe that these four wish to accompany you again."

Gwen only had a few seconds to analyze the fours masks before Ben swiped them and held them dearly. One mask was brown and black, having the appearance of wood. The second mask was a much lighter shade of brown while the third one was a light cast of blue. A more humanoid mask with white hair and eyes was the final mask.

One final laugh from the man was enough to send Ben and Damian screaming and running out the park.

Gwen face palmed, even if the man was creepy, Ben shouldn't have left without even paying for the masks he basically stole. She sighed, he owed her for this.

"Hmm hmm hmm," the man laughed, "My dear it is quite alright."

Gwen looked at him in mild confusion to which he laughed at. That laugh was really starting to annoy her.

With the grin still plastered on his face, the man replied, "I cannot sell what was never mine to begin with. Those four wished to go with the hero, so who am I to deny that."

I've noticed that I've started ending my chapters with someone speaking... -_- but this is really all I had planned for this chapter. I guess the Happy Mask Salesman left a bigger impression on Link than we thought. XD
