One thing I want to say before I get started, I got a seasonal job at a Macy's warehouse recently. I don't know when it's going to end or if it's going to have any noticeable effect on my writing. My job starts at 5 pm and ends at 3:30 am. Thankfully it's only a Monday-Thursday so it won't be to much trouble if I ever get the inspiration to write. Just wanted to let you guys know! :)
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE FREE-LOADER!"
Damian shrieked to the high heavens, piercing glare locked onto a tall, white haired man leisurely situated at the dinning room table calming testing a cup of black coffee. The man gave the shadow a impassive stare with only a hint of disinterest in his cold eyes, returning to his rather bland beverage.
"Hmm." He said, averting his gaze in order to prevent himself from catching Damian in his sight, "...Needs more sugar."
"DON'T IGNORE ME BASTARD!"
The man paid no heed to the red-faced teen as he plucked the container of sugar from the center of the table. He took careful note of the level of sweet, white crystals in the glass bottle, it was nearly fully. Twisting off the cap, the man gingerly deposited the entire jar of sugar into the black liquid.
More veins popped from Damian as numerous pulse marks floated above his head as the man continuously ignored him in favor of the now sickeningly sweetened coffee he was consuming.
The final dismissal sent Damian into overdrive. He stormed over fully prepared to trash that infuriating ghost and send him back to whatever hell he spawned from. How dare he come back! He had no place with this Link or those will come after if Damian had anything to say about that!
"Get-"
Once Damian had stomped into dangerously close quarters with the man, said man quickly, but brutally karate-chopped the shadow on the top of his head and while still in possession of a calm, but bored demeanor, said. "Bad Shadow."
Damian dropped to the floor, painfully clutching his throbbing head, glaring hatefully at the white-haired man, who simply stared back, "Why you!"
"Would you knock it off Dark!"
Ben's voice called from the kitchen as well as the clatter of metal. He emerged from the kitchen skillfully balancing three plates worth of food in his arms and making his way towards the two.
The shadow immediately bounced off the floor, "Why the hell is he here?!"
Ben raised an eyebrow at the shadow's hateful tone. He shrugged, "Don't know. He just kind of showed up last night sometime while we were out fighting that alien." (1)
Alarms bells went off in Damian's head.
"Wait! He was here last night!? Why didn't you tell me!"
"Ugh, because I know you don't like him that's why. I would like to spend my time finding out why he's here then spend it barracked in my house because you refuse to be in the same room as him." Ben sighed shaking his head. He had taken to growing his hair out so now he appeared more like his counterpart with Midna, only lacking the pointed eyes and the changes in eye color of course.
"Why not call that cousin of your's to figure this out?"
"I did, but it's not like I've explained everything about Hyrule and its history with magic in detail so she can't do this on her own. Besides this is Termina. We were only there for three days, who knows what we missed in either of those loops."
"But still! Why'd he have to stay here!"
"Where else am I supposed to take him? I can't exactly throw him on to the streets!"
"YES you can!"
"Dark!"
"Ummmmm...And I interrupting something?"
Gwen's voice brought the two heroes attention back to reality as the red-head had entered the room to see the two arguing and a strange white-haired man watching on in amusement over his cup of coffee sprinkled sugar.
"Nope." Ben said matter of fact-ly, shifting to take a seat next to the man which Damian hissed at, "Dark's being an idiot."
"I AM NOT!"
Gwen sweat dropped, "I see..." Turning her attention to the man she couldn't help but feel she had seen him somewhere before. A pale face with two red markings under each eye and one above, white hair parted at the middle showcasing a purple mark running down his forehead. Dark-plated armor covered his chest, a white tunic peaking out with black sleeves and leggings leading up to leather guards on his arms and tall leather boots for his feet. It was his eyes that was the creepiest, they were just white, no pupil and no color what-so ever.
Those eyes were imposing and the aura she saw gave the man a calm and regal presence that almost suffocated her. What a fitting name for him, that standing in his presence you believed you were standing before a mighty god than a spirit trapped within the confounds of a mask that she was led to believe he was.
She had to stop herself from bowing to him as she said, "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Fierce Deity."
Such a short chapter but like always, I get to this point before I don't know how to move on. Perhaps I'll do another part like I said I was going to do with Death Mountain. As for why I suddenly decided to do a chapter on the Fierce Deity...Weeeelllllll, yesterday I watched a theory video on how Link is not dead in Majora's Mask, which got me to thinking about a Fierce Deity theory video I watched not to long ago.
The theory stated that like in A Link Between Worlds, Majora's mask had it's own versions of Link, Zelda and Ganon. Majora was Ganon's counterpart while the Fierce Deity was Link's. The goddess of time was also supposed to be Zelda/Hylia's counterpart. Another note that I guess sort of fits is that a Fierce Deity or a Wrathful God is an angry or some kind of god of anger or whatever. It is an enlightened being who take on wrathful forms to lead other sentient beings to enlightenment so perhaps the Fierce Deity is not as bad as Majora was making him out to be.
As for why he has a solid form without Ben/Link...
-leaves room-
I get the picture that Dark doesn't like the other spirits because they are basically intruding Link's mind (Similar to this one Majora's mask story I read where all the spirits live in Link's head like Yami from Yu-Gi-Oh.) and he's getting territorial. XD
(1) As much as I like Ben 10, I suck at writing fight scenes and just writing aliens in general, so I won't go too much into it.
If you liked this or have an idea I should write about then leave a review! I'd love to hear your ideas.
