Gregory Goyle had become quite infamous, he had joined the Holyhead Harpies as a beater shortly after he and Pansy had married. Something he wanted to blame their ended marriage over but couldn't. The truth was they just weren't meant to be. They had rushed into things, trying to find some beauty and love after the war. Gregory had wanted to please his father with a lifeblood marriage and he had.

The honeymoon period didn't last but maybe a month after they had said I do. They fought over nothing, the sex while satisfying before marriage became a chore. Neither of them finding true satisfaction even if they had achieved orgasm. Something had been missing. When Pansy had come to him with tears in her eyes and told him she couldn't pretend anymore.

Pansy was a lesbian, something pureblood families would disown their children over. Something that had caused Pansy's family to blast her off their family tree. But she had taken it in stride, she didn't want or need their money or support. She just wanted to be happy. Honestly Gregory had been relieved when she told him. Their divorce had been amicable, and he got to see his daughter whenever he wanted.

His father had nearly blown a gasket when Gregory told him, but his mother fussed gently over him and the man had calmed down. Conceded it wasn't Gregory's fault that, "The fruity little tramp" had "lured him with her wiles for the Goyle fortune." But Gregory knew the truth, that Pansy cares nothing about money and that she and Hermione lived in a small cottage in Hogsmede. That she wore her hair in a messy bun, knocking around in a t-shirt and denim pants. She worked three days a week at the Three Broomsticks.

The two girls were not rich with money, but they were comfortable and rich in other ways. Ways that Gregory could only dream of. No matter how many girls he laid down with it never felt right and he couldn't figure out why…Well he could but there was no way he would ever be able to act on it, at least not as long as his father was alive. Gregory Goyle was gay, a fact no one knew except him, and he planned to keep it that way.

He had never been with a man, but he knew without a doubt that it was what he wanted. Instead he continued to work his way through all the groupies that threw themselves at his feet. Looking in the wrong places for something he needed desperately

He wasn't sure how, but Pansy had managed to talk him into returning to Hogwarts to help with the new summer camp the Ministry had approved for the orphans of war. Being a father himself, Gregory's heart absolutely ached for them. There was no way he could say no, and thankfully his coach had understood. The Ministry was sending officials to cover the individuals who worked in small shops positions during the time they were at the camp. Jobs like that were easy to fill. Those of them like himself, and Hermione a healer had to make other arrangements with their employers.

But like his own boss, Hermione's had made no issue of her volunteering and got the other healers to help cover her shifts.

Gregory sat anxiously with his daughter and ex-wife in the Great Hall waiting on the other sponsors to arrive. Pansy had just revealed that Vincent would be chaperoning as well and the thought made his heart sink. Gregory lived with a lot of regrets, but treating Vincent the way he had was one of the worst.

He had abandoned him after the Final Battle, ignoring him during his time of need. The boys had always been close, very close and Gregory had fled because somewhere along the way he had stopped seeing Vince as just his friend. He found himself wanting to give up his fortune for him and the thought alone had driven him away. Vince had been with more ladies than Gregory had ever thought about and would probably be uncomfortable if not angry to find out his best friend was carrying a flame for him.

So Gregory had done the only thing he thought he could do and ran. Marianna snuggled a little closer to him sensing his distress and he smiled softly down at her. He heard a door open and looked up quickly to see none other than the boy he had been pining over the last 10 years. Vincent strode in, the blank lifeless look on his face cutting Gregory to his core.

He had known that Vince had gone through a rough patch after the death of his parents, but until this very moment he hadn't realized how far down the rabbit hole the man had gone. Sadness emanated from the young man almost in waves, when their eyes met Gregory thought he saw something flash for a moment in their depths but whatever it was quickly left. Those black eyes that had once sparkled with mischief had dulled.

With a wiggle Marianna slid out from underneath his arm and ran towards the bearded man that he had once called his best friend. Without hesitation she leapt into his arms, and when he caught her Gregory's breathe caught as well. Love shined in those black orbs as he held Marianna to him and spun in a circle to make her giggle.

"Uncle Vinnie I haven't seen you in forever!" her eyes were narrowed as she spoke, her lips pouting beautifully. She was the perfect combination of Pansy and Gregory. Long bronze hair trailed down her back, and eyes that sparkled like emeralds were framed with thick lashes.

Whenever he looked at her, Gregory felt as if he had managed to do at least one thing right in his life. Vincent returned the young girls feet to the floor and ruffled her hair. "I'll be back little one, I need to speak to Uncle Harry for a moment." The voice that came out didn't even sound the same. It was low and melodious, almost hypnotic as it danced across the other man's ears.

When Harry and Vince's eyes met once again those eyes lit up, but something else was there too. When their bodies met in an embrace jealousy shot through Gregory as he saw those black orbs smoldered with lust. Their bodies moved in a way that was obviously very familiar and suddenly Gregory was standing up, anger coloring his features. Ready to stomp across the room and slug the boy wonder right in the mouth.
