"My healing powers aren't working as good on him as they usually do," Botan exclaimed, "he's still healing but it's going to take a while." She kept her hands against Hiei's back, who was now laying on the floor of the living room, the only part of the temple that wasn't destroyed.

Genkai asked, "Where did Joji go?"

Yusuke explained, "The only one here who knew anything about him was Kurama and guess who he took with him?"

"That bastard took Yukina too," Kuwabara said angrily.

Hiei stirred away and grunted in pain. "Don't move," Botan said, "you're still bleeding." He sat up anyway and pushed her away.

"Don't touch me, I'm fine," he said, "what happened?"

Yusuke said, "That Joji guy took over your body, then he took over Yukina's body and made Kurama his personal puppet. They all got away."

Hiei grimmanced in pain and held his side. "Who cut me down like this?" he asked.

"Yukina," Yusuke answered, "she was being possessed by Joji, so I guess you were technically cut by him."

Hiei took off his jacket and and his black shirt to reveal and ugly gash across his back and right side. "Yukina did all of that?" he asked out loud to no one. Even with my guard down she still shouldn't have been able to create such serious damage, he thought, she's stronger then I realized.

"Yeah who knew she had attack powers," Kuwabara said, "what are we supposed to do? We don't know where to go and if we wait around here that Joji guy is sure to come back. All we know for sure if that we have to rescue Yukina!"

"And Kurama," Yusuke said, "don't forget about him."

"It's weird," Kuwabara said, "we've never had to rescue him before so I'm kind of having a hard time wrapping my head around that."

Genkai asked, "Would you focus for one minute? Contact spirit world. I'm sure Koenma knows more than we do by now."

Botan took her communicator out and tried calling spirit world. Koenma picked up. "Koenma sir!" she pleaded, "Joji came here and took Kurama and Yukina. Do you know where he is?"

"He's in an old factory about 100 miles from you," Koenma said, "how come you haven't been answering?"

"There was a huge fight!" Botan shouted. Hiei started wrapping his injury in gauze as Botan struggled to get more information. He put his shirt and jacket back on. Botan hung up and said, "At some old shoe factory and warehouse outside of Tokyo is where Joji is hiding, at least, according to Koenma."

"Let's move out!" Yusuke said, standing up. Kuwabara followed him. Hiei stood up as well.

"Where do you think you're going, shorty," Kuwabara asked.

"Listen closely," Hiei said, "he'll most likely use Kurama as a guard which means you'll have to fight him. If you can hold him off long enough to get to Joji that should be enough. It's only a puppet but it's still Kurama you'll be dealing with."

Yusuke asked, "What are you saying?"

"Kurama's weakness is that he analyzes his opponents before fighting back," Hiei explained, "if you force him to make the first move you can throw him off guard and might actually make it past him before he kills you both."

"Thanks for the advice," Yusuke said awkwardly, "you're staying here since you're still injured and recovering. Understood?" Hiei looked away.

Genkai just finished healing Hiei after Yusuke, Botan, and Kuwabara left. "I'm surprised you didn't go with them."

He stood up and asked, "Who said I wasn't? I'll be right behind them."

"Don't over do it," she warned, "you might end up killing yourself in the process."

"I didn't ask for your advice," he replied as he left.

Damn stairs, he thought, there has to be another way. He tried moving with his superspeed but without his energy fueling him along the way he was cut short after a few jumps through the trees. How do humans live with themselves if this is how they are on a daily basis? He thought to himself.

He barely made it to the train stop without passing out from exhaustion and made it on the right train to the city. He used some of his life energy to trace where Joji was. Koenma was right, he was in an old factory across the city. Hiei leaned back and fell asleep sitting up on the train.

When he woke up a completely different set of people were on board. He looked outside. The next stop would his. Perhaps going into the city earlier wasn't a complete waste of time after all, I learned how to ride this human train system thanks to Yukina. He thought to himself.

The sun was going down, and it revealed pink, purples, and oranges in the clouded sky. He got off at the proper train station and walked ahead to the abandoned part of the city. Old buildings were falling apart on both sides of him. Up ahead, he thought he heard something in the overgrown bush.

"There's Kurama," Yusuke said, "he's definetly still a puppet."

Kuwabara asked, "How do we make him attack us first?"

Yusuke said, "I can handle this." He stood up and revealed himself to Kurama. "Hey, fox boy, come and get it!"

Hiei jumped into a tree and looked down below at them. Kurama didn't move at first. Kuwabara asked, "What's up with him?"

"Usually I go with the piss them off method but it's Kurama we're talking about here," Yusuke said, "well you remember what happened to Toguro in that cave." Kuwabara shivered just thinking about it.

Kurama pulled out a rose. If Yusuke can hold him off I might be able to make it past him, Hiei thought. Kurama changed it into a rose whip and lunged toward Yusuke. "Kuwabara, now! Go!" he shouted as he ran away.

"Do you think you can get in here that easily?" Yukina asked from the roof. It was obviously still Joji possessing her. She created more icicles and threw them at Kuwabara.

Hiei jumped down and cut them out of the way in time. "Hiei?" Kuwabara asked, "How did you get here?"

Exhausted, he went down on one knee and said, "I figured you could use some help."

Kurama wrapped his rose whip around Yusuke and pulled him closer. Hiei jumped up and cut the whip, freeing Yusuke instantly. "Hiei!" he shouted.

Kurama threw away the whip and brought out another one meanwhile Yukina threw more icicles at them. Yusuke used a shotgun blast to blast them out of the sky. "Yukina!" Kuwabara shouted, "Get him out of your head! You'd never do these things for real!"

"This is a possession, dumbass," she replied, "not a hypnosis. She's blacked out right now. She can't even hear you."

Kurama got his rose whip around Hiei and sliced him up from his back to his chest and shoulders. Hiei jumped forward and slashed Kurama right in the torso. He screamed out in pain and fell to the ground. "Hiei you didn't have to cut him open!" Yusuke shouted.

Kuwabara ran over and grabbed Kurama by the collar. He shouted, "Kurama! Wake up already!"

"Get off of me, it's really me!" Kurama shouted as he grabbed his stomach in pain.

"Prove it," Kuwabara said.

"You like Yukina," Kurama said through his teeth.

Hiei said, "Get off of him." Kuwabara let him go just as Yukina threw more ice at them. He used his spirit sword to cut them down.

Kurama asked, "Hiei, did you really have to cut me wide open? This is going to take forever to heal."

"You started it, by nearly slicing me in half," Hiei said, sitting on the ground out of exhaustion and pain. He was bleeding out everywhere.

Kuwabara demanded, "Get out of Yukina before I kill you!"

"If that was supposed to be a sex joke that wasn't very clever," Yusuke retorted.

"Shut up, Urameshi!" he shouted back.

Hiei said, "Kill Joji." His vision was turning fuzzy again as he bled out.

"What was that Hiei?" Kuwabara asked, "Hiei?" He saw him pass out before his eyes. "Some help you are."

"Kill Joji's body," Kurama repeated, "and Yukina will be free. When he's possessing someone his body is completely unprotected and exposed. Spending hundreds of years in spirit world prison has weakened him greatly so it should almost be too easy."
