Kakashi just finished testing his new students, they passed and were going to start missions with him soon. He was wandering the streets of Konoha, making his way home.

"See you guys tomorrow!" Nadeshiko popped out of a building and bumped into Kakashi.

"Oh! Hatake-san, I'm sorry!" She bowed her head. He looked behind her and saw an orphanage building, it was rather new.

"Not a problem" he brushed off, she lifted her head. And for the first time he could remember, he made eye contact with her. He never saw such brilliant, blue eyes; he was shocked. He knew she had blue eyes from her file but in person they were like electric.

"Where are you headed, I'm going this way" she pointed down the path he was taking. She didn't know how to react when he deadpanned in front of her.

"I'm heading that way as well."

"Cool, I'll walk with you!" They continued their walk in silence, which seemed odd for Kakashi.

"I believe I have your little sister on my team."

"Oh really?" Nadeshiko said pretty shocked. "She's a nice girl but she will be a handful, especially if she has an Uchiha Sasuke on her team. She's head over heels with that boy."

"I have him on my team as well." Nadeshiko burst out with hearty laughter, just like at the sweetheart hotel room.

"All the best of luck to you then!" she finally calmed down, but still had a huge smile on her face. They continued walking, and Kakashi was feeling conscious of the silence.

"Hey, Naderu!" the two ninja's heard. Kotetsu and Izumo were by her sides in a flash as they both pat her head in greeting.

"Hey guys" she said smiling up at the two of them, she was rather short and petite for her age. She usually wore heels to try and build up her height, but her leg was still healing.

"How did your mission go?" The group continued walking together until Kotetsu's stomach growled.

"Let's stop in here, the lady here makes amazing food." Nadeshiko pointed to a small diner, he had never noticed before.

The group went in, Kakashi was prepared to leave until Nadeshiko called him over. He felt obliged to go in with them.

"My mission went fairly well. I found one of Orochimaru's hideout, but now that I found it I doubt he will go there again. Holy bejeebus was he strong. I ended up being saved by some white haired guy, then some mists ninja's took me in and then this guy brought me home."

"Sounds like you had an adventure" Izumo stated.

"Hatake-san, these two were on my genin team way back in the day." Kakashi was familiar with these two ninja's he saw them at the gate most of the time he had a mission.

"I'm Kamizuki Izumo" the brown haired one stated.

"And I'm Hagane Kotetsu"

The team seemed very close as they interacted, he wondered if this would be how he would feel if his teammates were still alive.

Even though he hardly spoke, he felt at ease with this group or maybe it was just because Nadeshiko was there. She always explained any inside joke that would come up in their conversation.

"So why do they call you Naderu" Kakashi had an idea but he wasn't sure if it was what he was thinking.

"These two told me, when we first became a team," she paused shaking her head at this. "If they married me, they would pat my head every day because I was so cute. Hence the name "Naderu.""

"That's adorable" Kakashi let out. He really did think that was an adorable nickname for her but rather shocked those words had come out of his mouth. The evening ended, and the little old lady made a fantastic miso soup. He would have to come in here again.

The more information Kakashi learned about Nadeshiko, the more interesting she was becoming. One of his questions was, why did the Hokage send a chuunin to spy on a Sanin. What was she truly capable of?

A couple weeks later and Nadeshiko was walking on her leg, normally. She was now wearing her high heeled shoes and in her black dress with her chuunin jacket. Heading to her regular post.

The thing about her and her teammates, they are part of Konoha's protection. Kotetsu and Izumo are part of the interception division, so they are the ones who respond to an intrusion or to prevent an intrusion. She was selected for the detection division and there are only 5 for this division, they have a minimal group; only three ninja are present at their post and the chakra is used to detect if there is a stranger or intruder. Nadeshiko has an enormous amount of chakra and will power and she's very observant when she is asked to sit in on an interrogation.

Because she is born with no kekkei genkai, she is unable to see a chakra system like the Hyuuga's but she can definitely feel and see a degree of chakra. And her favorite part about this job is that she becomes a no-body. No one will know where she is besides the other detection team members and she will never be a hero or idol. She loved the anonymity of the job.

After Kakashi finished another D-rank mission with his team he had hoped to run into Nadeshiko on his way home but she never showed up. He wondered if she had a mission, not that it was any of his business but she just wasn't around anymore.

Kotetsu and Izumo were leaving Ichiraku ramen as he came around. They greeted him heartedly. He casually brought up if she was called on a mission.

"No, I don't think she left for a mission. She might have stayed home today."

Kakashi gave a two-fingered salute to the two before he went on his way home. Sometimes he felt like she was just a figment of his imagination, but he knew he wasn't crazy. Though, he did think he was getting overly concerned with her whereabouts.

The next day after his team's missions, he was about to poof away to get out of Sakura's drama when his ears perked at something she said.

"My mom wanted me to invite you guys to dinner tonight. She wanted to get to know my team."

"Alright! Free food!" Naruto cheered, Sakura looked less than pleased that she had to invite Naruto but she couldn't back down from her invitation.

"That's very nice of your mother, I'll join this evening." Kakashi found himself saying. His weird wonder with Sakura's sister pressured him into going. He would at least be closer to the family.

Somehow Naruto and Sakura managed to get Sasuke to go. Kakashi laughed mentally at his students, they try not to be close but they are ending up that way.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day…

"Nadeshiko!" Her mother called out. Nadeshiko came to her mother's aid. "Do you think you could help me host Sakura's team tonight? She has wanted an excuse to bring Sasuke over."

"Sure, I have the day off today. What do you need?"

"EVERYTHING" she exasperated. She handed a list of items to Nadeshiko. "I need these for tonight's dinner and desert and then I need to clean up this house, and then I need to-" Nadeshiko left her mom to rant while she started to get things done.

There was so much to do for a silly dinner party.

Team 7 arrived a little after 6pm, Kizashi greeted them at the door and led them into the dining room and settled themselves down. Kakashi noticed that the table was set for seven. The mother came out of the kitchen bringing them all a simple miso soup.

"This is my wife, Mebuki." Kizashi announced, the blonde woman waved and rushed back into the kitchen. Mebuki came back out, looking a little refreshed; her hair was in place and her shirt was straightened. Mebuki took a seat at one end of the table while Kizashi sat at the other, Sakura sat between the two boys on one side of the table leaving Kakashi and the empty chair on the other side of the table.

Suddenly Nadeshiko flowed from the kitchen, bringing many dishes on her arms. She gracefully sat them all on the table before taking her seat next to Kakashi.

"Hatake-san!" she said finally noticing her neighbor.

"Haruno-chan" he had taken the cuter ending for her name, seeing that it fit her better than "–san".

"You guys know each other?" Sakura asked blatantly.

"Yeah, he brought me home from my mission when I was really beat up." She pointed her fork at the two boys. "Now, who are you two?" she questioned in a joking-threatening matter.

"Uzumaki Naruto, the future Hokage!"

"Well, future-hokage-sama, I look forward to working with you." Naruto gave her his Uzumaki smile.

"I'm Uchiha Sasuke" he said curtly.

"Ahhh, another quiet type." Sasuke tensed up, ready to be called "Itachi's little brother" but it was never said. "You're similar to your sensei, I hope you have a different choice in reading material though." She teased. Kakashi gave her a lazy glare, which she smiled away.

A lot of dinner talk happened, Mebuki and Kizashi shared many family stories.

"Sakura always wanted to be like Nadeshiko, but I know my Sakura will have kids before Nadeshiko." Mebuki stated out loud.

"Mooooom" Sakura moaned out, being embarrassed.

"I thought I'd have grandchildren by now." Mebuki defended, giving Nadeshiko the eye. Nadeshiko brushed the teasing off.

"Maybe if she received a mission to have children, she would complete it" Kizashi joked.

"Ha. Ha. Very funny, dad" Nadeshiko dripped with sarcasm.

After the dinner party the group dispersed, Sasuke and Naruto left for their homes and Kakashi took a small walk with Nadeshiko.

"I've been cooped up all day in that house for this little dinner party. But it was fun to get to know her team."

"You seem like a good, older sister." Kakashi mentioned, he noticed that Sakura did look up to her or agree with her during the dinner.

"I like to think so, I'm not so active with her anymore now that she's a genin." They had been walking in a park near their house. There was a children's play area, Nadeshiko sat on a swing. "Mom always told me that she wanted grandkids. But it's hard, you know? I can't imagine myself falling in love or having kids."

"You're very good with kids, they seem to like you."

"Yeah, I play with them but that doesn't mean I'll be a good mother." Kakashi was curious why she was telling him all this, but didn't dare ask. "I feel very comfortable with you, Hatake-san. Maybe it's because you were the ninja that brought me home, but I'm glad I met you."

"I'm glad I met you too."

Maybe it was a full stomach or the mood from the night sky. Nadeshiko wasn't sure what made her ask this but she felt compelled to do so.

"May I call you Kakashi?" Kakashi looked down to the short woman, she had kept eye contact with him. Her hair was down, wavy tendrils cascaded down her front and her back. She waited patiently for his answer.

"Only if I can call you Naderu." He finally answered, and she let out a cute laugh.

"Deal, but you have to pat my head when you call me that." Kakashi gently pat her head and rested his hand on her head for a second. She had really soft hair from what he could tell. He took his hand off, avoiding a possible awkward situation.

"Kakashi-san" she said out loud. "It almost seems unnatural to say your name." She smiled up at him.
