We have a schedule: I come to the island on weekends to help train and to visit my friends. Davenport even installed a horizontal tube for me. Adam teases me about it, but I cannot sleep while standing up, unlike these genetic freaks. After graduation (in which everyone at the academy takes a break to come) I return to the island as a full-time instructor. And true to his word, Chase was waiting for me when I stepped off the transport. I can go to college later, but for now my calling is offering my assistance to the world.

"You look good in white," Chase purrs in my ear as I zip the instructor uniform while standing before the mirror.

"Does it make my butt look fat?" I turn different angles, trying to get a reaction from him. His eyebrows rise to his hairline, his adam's apple bobs.

"NO! I mean yes-definitely no," he stumbles, not sure of the appropriate response. Laughing I bounce on my toes and kiss him, our lips the only part touching.

"I love you." He pulls back a bit further to see my face. I smile sweetly and before he can say anything else I skip out of the room, throwing a flirtatious glance over my shoulder. He bounds after me, catching me outside the door and pinning me against the wall. My body disintegrates and solidifies behind him. When he turns in confusion it is I who trap him against the wall, arms on either side of his head. "You silly boy," I coo. With a shrug of the shoulders he holds my chin and directs my lips back to his. What, Chase Davenport not getting the last word in? I laugh to myself.

You are incredible, I think. I didn't realize I had connected to his chip-a new bionic I had unlocked- until his voice speaks in my mind, I am, aren't I?

"Ew! Get a room!" Adam calls from behind. Grinning against my lips Chase picks me up, wraps my legs around his torso and moves to go back into the room. "Guys, not really, we have classes in five minutes! I was kidding!" Chase sets me on the couch while Adam is still shouting outside.

"We have four minutes and thirty seconds," I murmur.

"That's not enough time," he whines, peppering my face with kisses.

"We're going to be on this island together for a while."

"Maybe we should get married and move far far away from everyone else." My breaths stop and I stiffen. Chase's lips have moved to my neck and he looks up at me through thick lashes. "Not now, but one day. What do you say?" I am still stunned and it takes several seconds for my mind to comprehend his words. It does not help his lips are still against my skin.

"Yes. One day." Chase's smile puts the sun to shame. His hands come up to both sides of my face and he kisses me.

When we walk into the main training room, both of us are grinning like maniacs. People cast strange glances and frown. After dismissing them to practice in partners, Adam, Leo and Bree approach us.

"Why does your face look like that?" Leo asks Chase hesitantly. He only smiles wider-if that is possible-and laces our fingers together.

"She said yes." Bree squeals, hugs us both, exclaims how we will be sisters; Leo pumps his fists and bounces around like a leprechaun; Adam claps Chase on the back hard enough to buckle his knees and spins me around in a massive hug.

"I'm going to have a sister!" he yells.

"Adam, you already have a sister!" Bree reminds him.
