"Wait what? Am I hearing this right? You, Carter Kane, want to sneak out?"

My brother flinched at my tone of voice.

"Yeah but-"

"-and you want to go to a party?!", I threw my hands up in utter surprise.

Carter corned me before we headed off to our house just outside the tennis courts. Anubis had yet to show up.

"Yeah, I was invited."

I raised an eyebrow,"By who?"

Carter blushed,"Kelsey Summers."

My stomach dropped in the not-so-good way.

I didn't have the heart to tell him that Kelsey Summers was one of the girls that was determined to make my life a living hell. I wished so badly to just whip out my wand and turn her into a donkey but mom still isn't allowing magic.

"Well good luck big bro."

To me, the conversation was over. I looked around for Anubis since he should have met us up by now. My stomach dropped once again in a not-so-good way.

Anubis was talking to Jenni Pichelo, aka, the girl who was constantly spreading horrid rumors about me around the school.

Her and Anubis stood a little to close for my liking.
Jenni's stupid laugh was loud and obnoxious but Anubis just laughed along with her at something she said.

"Sadie stop glaring."

I looked at my brother, anger boiling in my veins.

Instinctively, I pulled through the duat and got my wand.

"Fart", I commanded, pointing at her.

Jenni gasped loudly as a humongous fart erupted from her bottom. Her face turned bright red and she quickly excused herself.

"Sadie!"

"What?", I snap at carter, who in return was glaring at me as I placed my wand back in the duat.

"Mom said-"

"-I know what mom said!", I interrupted him while crossing my arms. Anubis finally decided to show up.

"Hello Carter, Sadie."

I muttered a hello while Carter just shook his head at me. We three started to walk home since we conveniently lived only ten minutes away.

"Anubis would you like to join me at a party tonight?"

I groaned but Carter ignored me and continued,"we of course would have to sneak out since my parent will most likely not like the idea."

Anubis quickly answered,"I would love to accompany you and Sadie."

I snorted,"I'm not going."

Anubis looked at me with concern,"Why not?"

I sigh, twirling a lock of hair out of my face,"I'd much rather spend my Friday night in my bed with my lovely Eren Yeager thank you very much."

"Who's-?"

I cut Carter off,"Attack on Titan. Anyways, sorry Anubis I'm not interested in going to some lame party."

By then we made it home.

Carter went in before us, probably to start his homework. What a noob.

"Sadie."

Anubis stopped me from walking up the front porch steps.

He continued,"I've never experienced a mortal party before and I would very much like it if you would accompany me, it would mean a lot to me. But if you'd rather spend your night with I completely understand."

I stared at him dumbfounded.

What was I suppose to say?

I groan.

"Fine I'll go to the stupid party but,"I whisper," if we get caught im not going down with the blame."

Anubis laughed before kissing my forehead and walking inside,"Thank you Sadie."

I blushed, what did I get myself into?
