A/N: I was scrolling through tumblr and I got inspired. It's a little long.

Sadie's P.O.V

"Carter Kane you are so dead when you wake up!", I angrily hissed.

I practically dragged my passed out brother across our front lawn as I tried to make it to the back door without too much noise.

Anubis giggled,helping me by carrying carter's legs.

I glared at him,"Shut up dog boy, I'm mad at you too!"

Anubis's eye got wide as I could see him swallow hard.

'How did I get in this mess?', I thought bitterly as I tried to understand why I had such rotten luck.

Two hours earlier

"Carter, for the last time, NO!"

"Shhh Sadie keep your voice down! Look all you have to do is go in and sit for like a while while Anubis and I have fun."

I punched him hard on his thin arm, earning a gasp of pain.

"No! Okay you two dragged me all the way to some dumb party I didn't want to even attend and now you expect me to be the designated driver when I don't even have my drivers license?!"

I put my hands on my hips as I tried to control my breathing. This was absolutely absurd, this whole idea. The sneaking out of the house bit was easy but I had no idea Carter was going to steal the car! I almost went back inside with a strong "hell no"
but stupid,cute Anubis made me get in the car with a simple "please?".

"Sadie, do not worry, I plan to not consume any alcohol."

I tried not to let the idea of how hot Anubis look in his attire of black jeans and a nice gray v-neck look get to me.
I tried very hard.

Pinching the bridge of my nose, I sighed in defeat,"Fine."

Carter gave me a huge smile, and even went in for a hug but I flicked his forehead.

"I have rules though, one: you cannot consume more then 4 drinks, and two:no making babies tonight, Kay?"

Carter blushed, but agreed.

I sighed,"Well let's get this over with."

Hooking my arms with the two boys we walked up the drive way to someone's huge house.

Carter was quick to leave Anubis and I behind. Stacy Gannings, some chick who didn't know the meaning of the word 'no' quickly ripped him from me and shoved him into the kitchen where the alcohol was.

I checked my phone, seeing that I had no miss calls from my parents which meant that they had no idea what we were doing.

The party itself was insane and not like the movies. It was an absolute mess. Beer cans were everywhere and the music was just three songs on repeat. People were drunk and high. Girls were kissing girls. Guys were chugging beers.

"Yay high school", I mumbled, completely disgusted.

Anubis and I made our way to the stairs that led upstairs, sitting five steps up.

"I'm sorry we dragged you here. This party is nothing compared to what the gods can do."

I waved Anubis's apology off, "Nah it's fine."

Anubis lightly traced my arm, which was free of my bulky cast.

I tried not to let my face blush but that was hard since his hand was really warm.

"Thank you for coming"

He looked into my eyes, his face so close to my face. I swallowed.

"N-no problem", I was red as a tomato and my stutter made me even more embarrassed.

Anubis smiled before flickering his eyes down to my lips then back to my eyes.

My stomach painfully twisted. I knew what that meant. He leaned in and I was about to close my eyes when-

"ANUBIS THERE YOU ARE SILLY!"

We both jumped back as I saw none other then Jenni standing in front of us.

Her dress was black and tight and too short. Her hair was in perfect waves. I felt self conscious of my black jeans and red flannel, I mean compared to Jenni I was nothing.

Something was off about her though. Her eyes, which were blue, were puffy and the whites of her eyes were pink. Plus she was swaying.

"Are you high?", I couldn't help but blurt out my question.

Jenni gave me an evil smile,"Duh stupid. Come on Anubis lets go!"

She reached out for Anubis to take her hand.

"No thanks, I'd much rather stay with Sadie."

Jenni's eyes widened in shock,"You'd rather stay with this loser then hang out with me?"

Anubis looked amused,"Sadie isn't a loser and yes I would much rather stay with her."

Jenni stomped her foot childishly,"Your loss!"

"Anubis-"

Once again I was cut off, but this time by loud hollering from the kitchen.

Thinking of Carter, I got up and followed the crowd as 30 people tried to cram into an overly priced kitchen.

"Carter what the-?!", I gasped in disbelief.

My brother, Carter the nerd, was taking a line of shots (of tequila?). Apparently he was racing against the star quarterback Jonathan Smith and he was winning.

You could easily tell that the hour we were here, Carter was way too drunk.

Even though he wouldn't tell me this himself, I knew he wanted to get drunk in order to forget that Zia had decided to move on and see other people when we moved. The poor boy got cheated on by the girl he tried so hard to save. Tough.

I almost felt pity for my brother. Then he threw up in the sink and all that pity was demolished. People were yelling in encouragement and patting him on the back. I'm guessing he won the competition.

'He's taken more then five drinks. Well at least Anubis knows how to drive', I thought as I turned away from the crowd, looking for Anubis. Only, I couldn't find him anywhere.

Shrugging, I didn't think much of it or that the fact that if Jenni hadn't interrupted us, we would have defiantly kissed.

Blushing, I checked my phone, the time being 11:57pm. In 30 minutes I decided it was going to be time to go home. Surprisingly my parents hadn't called which meant we were still good.

I sighed and sat on the stairs and waited for 12:30 to come around so we could go home.

I laid my chin on my hand and closed my eyes. The music changed to a slow song with a steady beat. The loudness of people dimmed down. Before I knew it, I fell asleep.

I woke up with a start.

Looking around, I was confused as to why I wasn't in my bed. Then, it hit me.

I quickly checked my phone to see the time, my heart almost exploding when I read 2:14am.

"Sugar Honey Ice Tea!", I hissed as I quickly jumped off the stairs and ran to find the boys.

Thankfully my parents hadn't called but still, we were defiantly pushing it.

I found Carter in the living room, sitting on the floor.

"Carter, let's go!", I yelled as I pulled him up only for him to fall back down as he slumped forward.

He groaned and curled up in a ball.

"Sadie I don't feel too good."

I yanked him up, shouldering his weight as I slowly walked up to the front door.

"Shut up Carter, you're so dead."

Somehow or another I got Carter to our car and laid him down in the backseat. He was quick to fall asleep. I rolled the
windows down because I'd rather be chased by monsters then leave the car on while my brother was drunk.

Going back into the house, surprisingly the party was still going but everyone was either way to drunk or way to high. It was a zombie movie, everyone moved around sluggishly.

I ran through the whole down stairs part of the house, still not finding Anubis.

I pulled aside some boy that was in my chemistry class,"Have you seen Anubis?"

He waved his hand upstairs before stumbling away.

I sigh in annoyance at the whole situation. Running up the stairs, I had no idea what I was about to encounter.

I didn't want to look through the bedrooms since I could hear some nasty stuff was going down. Passing three rooms, I was anxious because what if Anubis was in one of those rooms getting it on? He didn't seem like the type to sleep around but then again
he was a good looking god for crying out loud.

Thankfully I found him in a restroom, not a bedroom.

He sat in the tub with three other people.

The smell of smoke was over powering the moment I stepped inside the foggy bathroom that my eyes watered.

"Anubis, we have to go."

He smiled, his eyes closed,"Sadie, there you are."

He was acting different. Then it hit me, the smell of weed.

"Oh sweet Isis, Anubis don't tell me you're high."

Anubis just gave me a cheeky smile as he slowly got up from the tub. I tried not to let the idea that Jenni was sitting next to him bother me.

Of course she had to make a comment.

"Anubis, baby, you're leaving already? With her?", she didn't try to hide the venom in her voice.

Anubis didn't answer and left the group and Jenni behind, taking my hand and slowly walked downstairs. Jenni's whinny voice followed us until someone told her to shut up.

"Sadie."

We stopped at the foot of that stairs. He turned to face me.

"I like you, a lot."

He looked into my eyes, his eyes pink but still full of emotion.

I tried not to let his words effect me since he was under the influence of marijuana.

I gave him a small smile, "You and Carter are so dead. Who's gonna drive now?"

My heart sank at the realization that I had to drive home hit me.

I pulled Anubis out of the house and into the car, Carter still passed out. I sat in the drivers seat, slightly freaking out since I had never driven a vehicle before and the only two people that actually had their license were not in the right
state of mind to drive.

I looked at the time 3:02 am. We really needed to leave.

"Anubis, be my co pilot."

Anubis nodded, swaying.

Somehow or another we made it home without an accident nor getting pulled over. My body slowly relaxed as I put the car on park on our driveway.

Without a word Anubis and I got out and got Carter.

We dragged him into the house. The stairs were a pain but somehow we got him into his room and into his bed.

I checked on my parents, thankfully they were both snoring loudly.

I went into my room, laid on top of my bed and rubbed my forehead to try to get rid of the master headache I formed.

"Sadie."

Anubis crept into my room, the light still off.

He laid next to me, his breath slightly blowing on my cheek.

"I'm sorry I got high."

A light fit of giggles left me, the tension cut. "It's okay Anubis, just don't do it again."

"I won't. I don't like how I feel at all."

He turned towards my body, an arm wrapping itself around my stomach.
I held my breathe in shock.

"Sadie I really like you."

I relaxed and stroked his hair,"I like you to Anubis."

"Sadie I really really like you."

His arm tightened around me as he sighed.

"It's okay, I really really like you too."

"Can I stay the night? Here? With you?", he asked kindly. His voice like a child's.

"Go change."

He got up and so did I. He went into his room to change into his pjs. I quickly washed my face and brushed my teeth in my little bathroom. Putting on some athletic shorts and my XL attack on Titan shirt, I settled under the covers. Anubis came right when
I laid down.

He laid under the covers with me and hugged me to his chest, my head on his shoulder and my hand on his chest. His hands were respectively on my hips.

He stroked the back of my neck tenderly.

"Why'd you smoke?", I whispered.

"I don't know, they just offered and I couldn't say no", he whispered back.

I laughed lightly,"that's called peer pressure."

"Now I know", he whispered, yawning.

"Go to sleep", I ordered. My eyes slowly closed to the sound of his heart beat (lame I know but it was really soothing).

We both fell asleep, not caring what the next day had in store for us.

A/N: yeah so the ending was complete crap. Anyways, thanks to all the nice comments I got for the last chapter! You are all so lovely. Please give me some more ideas for this story. I'm thinking of putting Walt into the mix but idk. Anyways thanks
