It's the day of the competition and Rukia ia pumped. Shes excited about this. Her bunny is going to be there cheering her on- what more can she ask for?
She's looking at her mirror- trying to stay positive and refferming. She has this.
Getting her things in order- Rukia lets our a deep huff before leaving the house before texting someone.

Are you going to the track and field competition?
Kurosaki

My school is going against your school- and obviously- my school will be victorious.

You talk big for a midget.

What are you going to do about it- with those tiny legs of yours?

She grins a toothy smile as she heads towards school.
The school bell rings and Ichigo heads to class with Orihime-holding her hand. She was seeing stars,
As they entered class- Orihime sat herself next to Ichigo since Rukia isn't there so no harmed done.
Class starts and no one says anything- as if Rukia never existed.
"Ichigoooooo..."Orihime cooed as she latches her arm with hers.
"Yeah, lil hime?"
"Can you help me out with this problem?"
Ichigo sighs. "We went over this earlier.."
"I forgot..." she sheepishly smiles- she remembers.
"Okay then..."
He scoots his desk closer to Orihime as she lets out a tiny squeal and giggle. He shows her how to do the igeometry problem and she "remains" oblivious" - thinking that looks cute.
"What don't you understand?"
"The whole tangent -cotangent-sin-cosin..." Orihime boinks her head against her desk. "I'm never going to get it..."
Completely smitten by Orihime's actions, "All you need is time...Don't worry about it- just look in the text book for reference."
She beams. "Can we go out to the movies?"
"Tomorrow?"
"Why not today?
"I made a bet with Kuchiki."
Orihime became shooked. "What was the bet about?"
"If her track and field team wins I pay for dinner between me and you and her and her boyfriend and vice versa.
"OOOhhhhh.. Okay." Orihime made a tiny sigh of relief. Her Ichigo is secured.
"Is there anything else?"
"Can you stay here for the entire school day?"
"Rukiiiiiaaaaaaaa" Akane cheers as she caught up with her. "Is he coming to cheer you on?"
"Yeah. Of course. " Rukia grins. "My little bunny is-"
"Wait- when you say little bunny- you mean that orange haired guy right?"

"Dammit Rukia." Akane face palms."You know its not going to last-"
"It is- it will last-he promised me."
"Like how he promised you he would never drink? Or how he would never smoke? Or how being a band would never interrupt your relationship?"
"He changed.."
"He hasn't-"
"He promised to come cheer me on..."
"why would you to that?!"
"He wanted to ."
"He's going to hurt you again- you do realize that right?"
"No he's not. "
"Like all the other times when you crying on my shoulder about what he did- the arguments- the broken chance-the betrayal, the lies- the-"
"You don't know him like I do...If I wasn't there he'd be a mess- like earlier. He needs me.
"it's not your job to take care of him- you don't need him."
"But he needs me...I can't let him fall again..."
"We've been through this how many times? I know you care about him and all- he's toxic to you."
"You don't know the shuhei I first met..."
"That's before he started to change."
"He can change back. If it meant I gave him another chance."
"How many chances have you given him?"
"... It doesn't matter-"
"Exactly. No matter how hard you try- he's going to end up messing up."
"Stop it. What Shuhei and I have is different."
"Fine. Just wait till the group finds out."
Its nearing the end of the school day- Ichigo and Orihime were heading towards the track and field stadium ad he was optimistic. His high school is to be reckoned with. Ater 3 straight years of undisputed championships? Che, Kuchiki's team doesn't stand a chance.
"I like steak." Orihime candidly spoke. "Why not have a date at a steak house?"
Ichigo chuckles. "Sure, Kuchiki's wallet is going to bleed though..."
They both laugh as they took their seats.
Orihime nestles her head against Ichigo's firm shoulder and lets out a sigh of content. She's happy-why wouldn't she be? That Kuchiki chick has a boyfriend- no competition. Ichigo is all hers and she wouldn't want it anyone else.
"How long is the competition?"
"i don't know- never been to a track and field competition be-"
"YEAH BUNNY! GET THAT GOLD!"
Ichigo recognizes that tool voice and looked directly at Shuhei who enthusiastically cheered about said bunny- Rukia.
He hasn't changed...
Ichigo sees Karakura high's track and field team piling into the track and field- their determination in their eyes reassured Ichigo and his free steak dinner.
Just watching karakura track and field team stretching out is a dead give away to Ichigo . There is no chance Rukia's team can win.
But on the other hand...
Rukia's team comes rolling in all smiling and laughing- joking around- are they really that prepared?
The introduction is made along with the anthem before everyone huddles up for some prep talk.
"Alright ladies!" Yoruichi beams. "It's time to show them how we will win!"
The girls cheered as Yoruichi grins. "Kuchiki told me not to worry- that doesn't mean you get to slack off- I want you girls to give it your all!"
"Yes coach shihÅin!"
And off the girls went.
Game on.
At first, it may have seemed like a stale mate- they were equally matched- but then again..
"GO BUNNY! GO!"
Was loudy chanted along with other guys hooting and hollering for their girlfriends- probably her friends' boyfriends.
It was now neck to neck- a tie. A final match to declare the winner. Everyone was on the ledge of their seats as they intently watch The head captains face off. It was Rukia and the head captain of Karakura high track and field. Everyone was cheering for their teams proudly- Especially shuhei who was more than excited to see his bunny proform so well.
Ready... Set... GO!
And off Rukia went.
She ignored all the cheers and chants and focused in nothing but running-shoot, she doesn't even remember reaching the end until her teammates squealed, cheered and laughed.
Her team made it.
She looks into the crowd and sees Ichigo frowning then her bunny smiling and cheering her on-she then looks at her friends. "He changed."
Her friends are in too good of a mood to lecture Rukia that they just let it go-for now.
They now line up and give recognition to the other team and thank them for a good job before going to the locker room and celebrating again with coach shihoin.
"Job well done ladies!" Yoruichi cheers. "This is one of the many matches we will have- I want all of you to remember that!"
The girls were too high on happiness that they all laughed and made fun of each other.
That's when Rukia's cellphone vibrated.
