This is my plot outline and other details abou this story.

Chapter 5 would be named "Dorothy and the Lions", in which we'd introduce Molly to everybody else, and Chapter 6, "The Houdini Girls", in which we follow Hunt on his new case about two 15-year-olds missing cases.

INITIALLY

Failed surprise party by Evan White

Strange girl

Obsessed with her mother's death. She has a real research inside her bedroom. Everything that happened the day she died – Sam Tyler's files, the song the man sang to her (Ashes to Ashes), the man's profile, stuff about her grandparents, the only word her mother said in the hospital – "Gene".

IN-BETWEEN

Notebook containing the most important notes about her mother's death. "Gene" scribbled down several times. (ahaha, q criativo xD)

Newspaper clip about her mother's death and, on the back, a short article about the discovered body of a police officer (G.H.).

On her way to the cemetery she's taken by the New Arrival (S03E08).

He takes her to an abandoned pub (former Luigi's) and induces her coma (not a pro)

IDEAS

Someone kidnaps Molly and tries to "kill" her very carefully, in order to make her "visit" Gene's world but not dying "for real".

The New Arrival (S03E08) is her kidnapper. He has been instructed by Jimmy Keats to go back (he wakes up from his coma) and get Molly for him. Keats wants Molly to get to Gene, since Alex is far away from his reach now.

Keats was demoted by his "superior" and is looking for revenge and recognition of his talent. He wants to destroy Hunt and his little slice of limbo.

WHEN THE EVENT HAPPEN S , SHE GOES INTO HER NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCE

She still has the red notebook with her. The only thing from real life. (The newspaper clipping she keeps within it can only be seen by her, for all the others it looks blank)

What the hell is going on

Stumbles on Gene.

WHY SHE GETS TO GENE HUNT'S WORLD

Gene Hunt's world is not only his, and it's not only about coppers. The other people, in the other circles (bars, brothels, high-society members) are all there in their "circle of Limbo" as well, interacting between one another. She should've ended up with the high schoolers. Instead, she got stuck with Gene and his CID, because she's too absorbed with her mother's case AND she's a wanna-be copper.

WHAT HAPPENS THERE, IN A NUTSHELL

Wakes up in the pub.

Finds Gene Hunt

Realises who he is from Sam Tyler's account

All those years she never made the connection between Tyler's accounts and her mother whispering Gene's name.

He remembers about Alex Drake, talks about her

She has the newspaper clipping about her mother's death, which has, in the back, the article about Gene's body. As the story goes, the newspaper starts fading, as if ceasing to exist. It's the clue about Molly's link to reality, her lifeline.

She demands to see her mother

He doesn't know where she is

Hunt is caught up in a case as well about two missing 15-year-old girls. (It ain't coincidence, Keats is behind this to get to Molly)

TO BE SORTED HERE:

Alex' killer: Arthur Layton blackmailed Evan White to hide the truth about the death of Alex Drake's parents. They then settle to an agreement in which Evan White helps him get away from the police after Alex has died.

Gene's body discovered and a tragic story about his murderer

Gene goes into the pub

Molly comes back.

THE BLOODY END!
