CHAPTER FIVE:

"And this is our main-frame computer," Knockout explained. "Everything we need to know is kept in here," he continued. "But I suppose you don't really need to know that."

"Hmmm," Galaxy said absent-mindedly, staring at the huge screen.

"If I could just download those files..."

"Access by invitation only," Knockout said.

"Interesting," Galaxy replied.

"Files on all the Autobots, attacking schemes, you name it, it's in here."

Galaxy's processor whirled.

"Attacking schemes? This is exactly what I need to send back to Autobot base! Maybe I can download the files to a drive or something..."

"Anyway." Knockout interrupted her thoughts. "We shouldn't really be in here. I just thought I'd show you."

"Thanks," Galaxy smiled, and the two of them left.

"I need to come back here." Galaxy promised herself. "For the information. Optimus and the others need to know, so we can finally gain the upper hand in this war."

Galaxy shook herself back to reality, and realised that she was alone. Knockout must have departed, back to working on the flight-stabilisers maybe. Galaxy paused in her walk and turned around. She stared up at the huge ceiling of the Nemesis, expanding into the darkness all around her. She closed her optics and listened to the engine's hum reverberating in the corridor. She was close to the main flight-deck. She walked back the way she had came, listening closely for sounds of the other Decepticons.

"Wait. Other Decepticons? Slag. I even seem to be counting myself as one of them! I need to snap out of this. I've been spending too much time around these 'Cons. It's starting to affect me. Hopefully not permanently..." Galaxy shuddered, looking around her again. The lights in the walls and tunnels seemed darker, more evil. Galaxy hated this place.

She stepped around the next corner and found herself where she had started, back at the flight-deck. She opened the heavy metal door and slipped in beside Delta, Barricade, Knockout and Breakdown.

"Well, flight-stabilisers are looking good," Delta commented. "We should be ready to set full speed very soon."

Breakdown nodded in appreciation. "And all thanks to our new member!"

Galaxy lowered her head slightly.

"I just can't wait to see you in battle against the Autobots!" Knockout added. "I'm sure it won't be too far away."

"And how exactly are we doing on the battle front?" Galaxy asked casually.

"And that's exactly what I came to talk about," Megatron said, walking in followed by Soundwave, who seemed to be staring straight at Galaxy. Her sparkbeat quickened slightly and she looked away.

"Decepticons, our victory against the Autobots is nigh!" Megatron called.

"Finally," Delta hissed beside Galaxy, amid some mutterings from around them.

"Our flight-stabilisers and main engine rockets have been kindly restored by our tech-team, and we are almost ready to charge into war with our sworn enemies." Megatron continued. "And now I need to warn base," Galaxy thought to herself. She glanced around quickly, spying a door to her left, on the far wall. She slipped unnoticed from the gathering as the Decepticons remained focussed on Megatron. Galaxy snuck through the slightly open door and into the passage beyond.
