Author's Note: I'm on a bit of an inspiration roll right now, so HERE'S THE NEXT CHAPTER! Please enjoy!
(On a side note, sorry the last chapter was so short, I just thought it was an important plot-twist and deserved its own page :D) ALSO, looking forward to the next series of TF:P, which is set to air on the 18th of February, or thereabouts...
Just remembered I have forgotten a disclaimer... So here it is! I don't own Transformers: Prime, or the Transformers enterprise. That's owned by Hasbro who hate New Zealand so much they never air the shows here :( I do own this fanfic though! My preciousss...
CHAPTER SEVEN
Galaxy was finally able to contact Autobot base. She informed them of her findings, and warned them of the Decepticons' plans of battle.
"Galaxy, have you been able to discover their attacking scheme?" Optimus had asked.
"Negative, Optimus," Galaxy had replied. "I'm still working on that."
"And you haven't been found out?" had been the next question. Galaxy had hesitated then.
"No. Not yet, anyway..." She didn't want to tell them about Soundwave yet. When she returned home, then maybe she would.
"Galaxy, you have done our team, and the Autobot heritage proud. We await your return. Good luck."
"Keep yourself safe, Galaxy," Ratchet had added before Optimus broke the link. Galaxy had had nothing to say to that. For some reason, she felt like she was betraying him... but how? Galaxy sighed and shook her head.
"Keep your mind on the job, Xy. Keep your mind on the job."
"Flight stabilisers are go. Booster rockets enhanced... Maximise speed now." Delta spoke into the control comlink. Soundwave stood at the control deck, obeying her directions. He slowly pushed a lever up, and the booster rockets fired up with a rushing sound. The deck began to resonate with a deep roar, and the Decepticons could feel the Nemesis gaining speed.
"Increase speed. 20 percent." Delta said, looking at calculations on an electronic tablet. The speed of the Nemesis was increased, and nothing seemed to be going wrong with the engines or the flight-stabilisers. A strong-hold door at the top of the deck slid open, and Megatron strode in, followed closely by two of his personal Vehicon bodyguards. He never went anywhere without them on board the Nemesis. It was only when it came to battle did he discard his protection and fight solo.
"A soldier should always remain solo. Especially a leader as prestigious as Megatron! Loyal servants? More like protection out of cowardice..." Galaxy snarled to herself.
"Those Autobots will never know what hit them!" Barricade hissed from somewhere near Galaxy.
"Not if I can help it!" Galaxy swore to herself.
"And now it's time to embark on our mission. Our time of victory!" Megatron finished triumphantly. There were many cheers around the room, which Galaxy joined in to keep her cover.
"Our next destination is Jasper, Nevada. To the Autobots' hideout." Megatron continued.
Galaxy gasped to herself. "How the slag do they know that?" she panicked. "I never told them! And I'm sure neither did the others! Or the humans! They wouldn't sell us out! Surely..."
But all was about to be revealed.
"Our technology expert, and my second-in-command, Soundwave, has done excellent work locating the Autobot base for us to swoop in and... make things very unfortunate for them." Megatron explained slyly.
"That lying, cheating, deceving BASTARD!" Galaxy screamed inside her mind, using a word she had picked up from her human friends. "Right! I don't care what happens any more. I'm gonna get those attacking schemes whether they like it or not!"
With that, Galaxy was out into the corridor, ignoring the stares she got from other Decepticons as she pushed past them. She couldn't listen to any more of Megatron's talk. It made her feel sick.
"Now if I remember correctly, the main-frame computer was somewhere... here!" she muttered quietly, finally finding the door that led to the huge computer with all the Decepticons' information. She glanced around to see that no one was watching - (They weren't. Of course! They were still at the gathering.) - and pushed open the door, stepping inside. The room was still lit with an eerie reddish glow. Galaxy's sparkbeat quickened as she snuck over to the computer, and started searching for a port to download information with the drive Ratchet had given her before she left. Upon finding a small port, she took out the small chip from her arm and plugged it into the computer hub. The monitor started to hum softly and the screen lit up with a purple glow.
"ACCESS FILES?"
Galaxy hit the Y key.
"AUTHORISATION REQUIRED."
Galaxy hesitated, but then remembered what Ratchet had told her about the chip.
"This button here will override any authorisation programmes. Well... it should."
"I trust your technology," she had smiled back.
Galaxy pressed the small button on the side of the chip. The screen started flashing, and for a moment Galaxy thought it had detected the hack, but then the "AUTHORISATION GRANTED" signal came up. She breathed a sigh of relief and pressed the "DOWNLOAD ALL FILES" button.
"DOWNLOADING ALL FILES NOW. 10%"
Galaxy paused to listen for anyone outside. The coast seemed to be clear.
"15%"
"Hurry up! If anybot comes in here..."
"20%"
Galaxy began to pace silently in angst.
"26%"
Suddenly she heard a noise from outside the door. Voices? She thought she recognised Knockout's and Delta's. Galaxy hurried back to the screen and turned the monitors off. The files would keep downloading, just not visibly. She heard footsteps outside the door and panicked. She forced herself to keep a level head, and looked around for anywhere to hide. Just as the door slid open, Galaxy leapt quietly and grabbed onto a ceiling beam, pulling herself up and into the shadows of the roof. Delta stepped in first, frowning as she glanced around.
"It seems someone has been here," she hissed.
"How can you tell?" Knockout asked.
"I can sense it." Delta snarled.
Galaxy drew in a sharp breath as Delta started prowling the room below her. Delta paused beside the computer.
"This is it. It's all over." Galaxy thought sadly. But then Delta shrugged and walked away.
"Maybe I was wrong," she sighed, turning to leave. Knockout followed her out the door, closing it quietly.
Galaxy hissed in relief. She jumped down softly and turned the monitor back on.
"DOWNLOAD COMPLETE."
Galaxy removed the chip from the port and placed it safely back in her arm, where (hopefully) no one would discover it. She switched everything off and made sure it looked exactly as it did when she had arrived. Satisfied, Galaxy opened the door and slipped out.
