Kikyko & Sesshomaru Part 1

Chapter 12

"Papa will hate me, he will send me away…." Kikyko said as she ran through the forest.

"I don't know where I am…." She said stopping and slowly shuffling her feet.

"Huh…" she said leaning near a tree.

"That's Rin," she said again peering around the tree. "Woah…." She said mesmerized by Sesshomaru.

"That must be Sesshomaru," she said to herself.

"Rin, why have you come?" Sesshomaru asked her.

"My Lord, I come with grave news to seek your help, Lord InuYasha's sword is missing…" she said to him.

"His Tetsusaiga you say?" Sesshomaru asked her. He held his hand to Bekusaiga. "You by the tree, come out…" he said loudly.

"Mmm mmm," Kikyko said nervously she shifted around the tree and in to view.

"Kikyko? Why are you here?" Rin said running to her.

"Kikyko, the child of InuYasha?" Sesshomaru said sniffing the air.

"Child why are you here?" he asked her again.

"Rin, I ….. I ran away," she said nervously.

"Ran away… Kikyko you can't be out here, the woods are dangerous," Rin said to her hugging her.

"Rin leave the child, if she choose to leave that is her decision," Sesshomaru said to her.

"But my Lord, InuYasha will not be happy," Rin said to him.

"Rin go back to Kaede's stay there, take the child with you… I will track the sword and InuYasha, he cannot be parted from it for long," Sesshomaru said to her.

"Yes my Lord, come Kikyko I must take you back…." Rin said as Jaken followed behind Sesshomaru.

"I can't go home Rin," Kikyko said loudly. Sesshomaru turned around and looked at her.

"Be gone with you child, return to your home." He said to her sternly.

"Momma and papa will hate me, I gave their weapons to a man who said he'd make me a kimono…" Kikyko said nervous.

Sesshomaru bent down to her.

"You gave their weapons to a merchant? Such a waste," Sesshomaru said to her.

He stood to his feet and looked at Kikyko and Rin.

"Return home, I will pick up the scent of this merchant…" he said to them.

"Please Kikyko return with me," Rin said to her.

"NO," Kikyko said loudly.

"My Lord, what of this child. Just leave her here in the woods," Jaken said to him. Sesshomaru glared at him and turned.

"Rin you return to Kaede's home, leave the child," he said to her.

"But my Lord," she said upset.

"Kikyko come back with me," she said to her.

"NO RIN, you go home… don't tell momma or papa I will go away," Kikyko said in a huff. She balled her hands and walked around Rin.

Rin sighed deeply and looked at Kikyko as she slowly shifted her feet behind Sesshomaru.

"Please watch out for her…." She said to herself and ran through the woods.

"My Lord, the child is following us," Jaken said peering at Kikyko from the corner of his eye.

"Leave her be Jaken, I am not responsible for her well-being," he said to him.

"What if she gets hurt or eaten by demons of this land?" Jaken said a little loudly. Kikyko looked at him and stopped.

"Demons…" she said to herself.

"I will not protect the off spring of that half demon…" Sesshomaru said to him. Kikyko nervously clasped her hands against her kimono and shifted her feet quickly behind Sesshomaru.

"Are we really searching for the Tetsusaiga my Lord?" Jaken asked him also looking to Kikyko.

"Yes Jaken that is the only thing I will help InuYasha with… his demonic state cannot be controlled without that sword," he said to him.

"InuYasha, Kagome…" Rin's voice shouted through the village.

"Rin, what is it?" mother said running to her.

"Kikyko….." she said panting catching her breath.

"What do you mean she ran away Rin?" mother said to her.

"We saw here in the woods when I went to visit Lord Sesshomaru… she found us and…." Rin said again looking to Sango then mother.

"InuYasha and Miroku went to find her," Sango said to her as well.

"If they find Lord Sesshomaru, they will find her, she followed him…" Rin said again.

"Rin go stay with Kaede, Sango's two boys are with her," mother said to her.

"Okay," she said and ran around her.

"Kagome are you going to look for her?" Sango asked.

"Yes, I may not have my bow and arrow but I can get one from the village," she said to her.

"I shall accompany you with hiraikotsu," she said as they both headed to her home.

"Ohhh," Kikyko said looking at Sesshomaru as he stopped hear a river. He had his two headed creature with him.

"Ah-un you are restless, what of it?" Sesshomaru said to the two headed creature.

"My Lord, the child still follows us…." Jaken said noticing Kikyko shuffle her way towards the water.

"Let us rest here for a while, we will continue our journey with time," Sesshomaru said to him.

"Why stop my lord, if InuYasha's transformation may happen, he will need his sword to revert to normal," Jaken said again as Kikyko splashed her feet in the water.

Sesshomaru sat down against a tree and watched Ah-un as he also shifted to the ground.

"Fine my lord I will go look for food," Jaken said and tapped his staff against the ground.

"That child is worse than Rin, following my Lord like this. BE GONE WITH YOU CHILD!" Jaken shouted at her.

Kikyko lifted her kimono and looked at Jaken.

"Teh impudent child," Jaken said and turned to the trees.

"Hi," Kikyko said to Sesshomaru. He looked at her curious.

"What is it?" he said to her.

"Sess-homaru," Kikyko said extending his name.

"Be gone with you…" he said to her. Kikyko sat down on the grass next to Sesshomaru.

She started to hum to herself. Sesshomaru looked at her and said nothing.

"I will allow you to journey with us, only because of Rin," he said to her.

Kikyko looked at him and beamed.

"Uhhhh," she said rubbing her belly.

"Find your own food," he said to her.

"But I don't know how to hunt, or find food…." Kikyko said shifting to her feet.

"Then you will not eat," he said to her and looked at Ah-un.

Kikyko balled her fists, "…. Fine," she said and started looking around her. She shifted around the tree Sesshomaru leaned against and started searching for mushrooms or anything she could find.

"Hmmm… I wonder if I can eat these," Kikyko said bending down. She looked at some mushrooms and berries through the grass.

She had wondered far from Sesshomaru.

"Huh!" she said holding the mushrooms and berries in her kimono. She looked around for Jaken and Sesshomaru.

"Miroku," Sango shouted to him as he came in to their view. He was holding hs staff and leaning against it.

"Oh no, what happened?" mother said concerned as they came towards him.

"InuYasha, he's changed," Miroku said to him.

"Where's Inuko?" mother said worried.

"He followed InuYasha," Miroku said falling to his knees. Father had wounded him pretty badly.

"We have to find them… if InuYasha finds Kikyko before we do…." Mother said again.

"Let's not think of that Kagome," Sango said tending to Miroku's wound.
