Kikyko & Sesshomaru Part 2

Chapter 13

"Huh!" Kikyko said holding mushrooms and berries in her hands.

"I think I'm lost," she said looking around.

She started walking backwards towards where she thinks she came from.

"My lord the child has wondered far," Jaken said peering around the tree in the direction I went.

Sesshomaru got off the ground and pulled Ah-un by the reigns.

"Are you going to seek her my lord?" Jaken asked him following behind him.

"Uncle Sesshomaruuuuu," Kikyko said loudly as she climbed over a tree trunk.

"Oh no I dropped my mushrooms," she sighed and bent down trying to pick them up.

She sighed deeply and stood on the tree trunk looking around.

"I'm lost, I don't know where I am…" she said to herself. She balled her hands and sat down on the trunk, tears welled in her eyes.

"Momma, papa…." She said to herself and started to cry.

That's when she heard the voice of a man around her.

"Huh?" she said and dried her eyes. She jumped down from the tree trunk and followed the voices.

"Ohhhh," she said as she leaned near a tree.

"That's the man I gave papa's sword too," she said watching this man and another tall man talking.

"My Lord why have we stopped here, the western lands are two day journey," the merchant said to him.

"Ah it is, but I smell the scent of a very powerful demon in this area," Lord Takemaru said.

"I have to get papa's sword," Kikyko said to herself. She shuffled her feet around the tree and quietly, slowly walked towards the men.

"Stop!" Sesshomaru said behind her, he held his sword out in front of her.

She looked up at him.

"He has papa's sword," she said to him.

"I will obtain it, that man is Lord Takemaru he is a demon from the Eastern Boarder, he has been trying to take my lands for many years," he said to Kikyko. She looked over at the man then to Sesshomaru.

"Stay here," he said to Kikyko. She watched him as he approached the Lord and the merchant.

"Sango take Miroku back to the village, stay there… I have a feeling things are going to get ugly," mother said to them.

"I can help you Kagome," Sango said to her.

"No you two return to the village, I'll find them. I just hope I'm not too late," mother said again adjusting the bow around her body.

"Be careful Kagome, Inuko ran off after his father. I know the boy is strong and can handle his own, but I hope for his sake, nothing bad has happened," Miroku said to her.

"Go, both of you! Leave them to me," mother said to them and headed towards the woods.

"Takemaru," Sesshomaru said as he approached him sheathing his sword.

"Sesshomaru…. Ah, it is you I sensed the presence of in these areas," Takemaru said to him as he approached.

"To what do we bring this honour?" The lord said pushing his sword into its sheath.

"That sword the Tetsusaiga, does not belong to you," Sesshomaru said also sheathing his sword.

"Aye but you see Sesshomaru, this sword was given to me…. It is now mine. Although I cannot wield it… I do not know why, I will take it to a craftsman and release it of its demonic aura." Takemaru said to him.

"You there, child!" Takemaru said noticing Kikyko hovering near a tree. Kikyko peered her head from around the tree and took a few steps towards them.

"My lord she is the child that brought me this sword," the merchant said to him.

"The child is none of your concern," Sesshomaru said blocking the merchants view.

"That child was able to wield it, to hold the sword, you… a demon cannot, and I… cannot either. Yet a human can!" Takemaru said looking to the merchant and to Kikyko.

"Very strange! Maybe that child is a half demon?" Takemaru said looking at her. She scantly shifted her feet behind Sesshomaru hiding.

Sesshomaru cocked his head towards her and said nothing.

"Leave these lands," Sesshomaru said and unsheathed his Bakusaiga.

"That I shall not do, I want that child." Takemaru said and charged at Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru charged at him clanking his Bakusaiga with Takemaru's sword.

"Hahahaha, child come here!" the merchant shouted.

"AAHHHHHHH…" she shouted as the merchant ran at her. She picked up her kimono and ran.

"NO," Kikyko shouted running towards the clearing near the river.

"Child, I mean no ill harm. But my lord needs you to wield this sword," the merchant said to her again. He pulled mothers bow from around his body and loaded an arrow to its string.

Kikyko stopped and looked back at the merchant.

"Takemaru, leave the child alone she is not involved in this. Tell the merchant to stand down, I only want the Tetsusaiga," Sesshomaru shouted. He swung his poison whip through the air and struck the lord in the shoulder.

"Arugh, Sesshomaru why protect a human…. She is nothing more than a weak child, these woods will devour her," Takemaru said swinging his sword at Sesshomaru's armor. He dodged it so quickly Kikyko's eyes couldn't see him.

"You do not understand my reasoning, the child is none of importance to me, it is the sword I seek," Sesshomaru said again. He turned his head to the merchant who had the sword in its sheath on his back.

"Hm," Sesshomaru said and ran at him.

"Aahhhhh," Kikyko shouted as an arrow flew through the air right at her.

"KIKYKO…." I shouted. I managed to quickly grab Kikyko and pull her out of the arrows path before she was struck.

"Inuko?" she said looking at me as I pulled her to my chest.

"Are you okay?" I asked taking a deep breath.

"INUKO," she shouted hugging me.

"Where's papa?" she said again.

"Uhh…" I said and turned my head.

"Hahha, Sesshomaru," father's voice bellowed behind me. He jumped through the air and landed right in front of the merchant.

"Stand your ground InuYasha," Sesshomaru shouted swiping his sword to the ground. A huge gust of wind filled the area.

"Hahha, you have something that belongs to me," father's menacing voice echoed. The merchant looked up at him and turned to Takemaru.

"My my, if it isn't InuYasha," Takemaru said. I hadn't noticed him move he was so fast he was standing right behind father. Sesshomaru and Takemaru had father circled.

"Come on Kiki we have to get out of here," I said to her picking her up.

"No, papa needs his sword." She said pushing me away from her.

"We can't help him, dad's turned into a full demon…. He can kill us and everyone here," I said to her. She forcefully pushed me away from her.

"We have to get the sword," she said to me. I looked at her then looked at the merchant who coward near his cart.

"Stay near me," I said to her and slowly shifted away from father. I saw his eyes shift towards me.

"Hey," he shouted at us.

"RUN KIKI," I shouted at her and pushed her towards the cart.

"InuYasha your opponent is me…" Sesshomaru said stopping him from jumping at us.

Father's voice hissed and cracked. "Once I kill you, you won't be able to stop me," he said to Sesshomaru.

"Interesting, so the sword controls his powers," Takemaru said noticing us shift to the cart. He jumped to the air and landed right in front of us.

"AHHH," Kikyko shouted. I grabbed her and pulled her behind me.

"Ah, so I see you are the off spring of InuYasha," Takemaru said with a smirk.

"Stay away!" I hissed at him.

"Ha ha haha," father's voice laughed. I looked over at him, he and Sesshomaru where in a heated battle. Father wouldn't stand a chance without his sword. We had to get it to him.

"AHHHHH," I heard Kikyko scream.

"How, what!?" I shouted noticing Takemaru had his arm around her neck.

"INUYASHA, I have your child, you want her…. Come and get her," Takemaru said. He bound to the air so fast I couldn't even attempt to catch him or keep up. He jumped right in to the middle of the battle between father and Sesshomaru.

As the dust in the air cleared I saw an arrow glowing on the ground.

"DROP HER, OR ELSE!" I heard mother's voice bellow. Takemaru looked at father then to mother and smiled.

"InuYasha how disappointing you give all half demons and demons a bad name, you married a mortal women..." He said grasping Kikyko tighter.

"AAAHHH, MOMMA…." Kikyko shouted. I ran to mother.

"Inuko come here," she said to me as I approached her.

"This ends here, I want the Tetsusaiga…" mother's voice said as she held up her arrow in her bow.

She wasn't aiming it at Takemaru she was aiming it at the merchant.

"Mom," I said noticing what she was planning.

"Get the sword Inuko," Mother said to me and released the arrow. I ran!

"MOMMA," Kikyko shouted again. Mother pulled another arrow from her quiver and aimed it at Takemaru.

"STUPID WOMEN," I heard the merchant say. Mother had struck him with her glowing arrow striking him to the ground.

"This is mine," I said and grabbed the sword from him.

"Sesshomaru, get InuYasha down long enough until the sword can contain him," mother shouted at Sesshmaru.

"You don't have to tell me that," he said and held his hand to the air.

"Uh oh!" I shouted. I ran at father and threw the Tetsusaiga to the air at him.
