Kikyko and Koga the Wolf Demon

Chapter 17

"I see InuYasha's back to his normal self," Sango said as she helped mother outside. They draped the white sheets over the lines, as the girls ran around playing and laughing chasing their baby brother.

"He is, he even took Kikyko out yesterday, spent the whole day together," she said tilting her head to the door.

"We know we saw him in the village, I'm glad he's back to normal, he worried us. Miroku took him to the village today to get the fireworks ready," she leaned in towards mother and said this to her in a half whisper.

"AHHHHH GET HER OFF OF ME!" I shouted. Kikyko had rolled over in her sleep and smothered me.

"And she's awake," mother said, she and Sango laughed. Mother shuffled her feet to the house to pry Kikyko off of me.

"Crazy!" I said catching my breath. I looked at her as she rubbed her eyes and beamed a huge smile at me.

"So InuYasha, Kikyko will be six years of age today," Miroku said to father and nudged him.

"Don't even say that... she's growing up way to fast," father said and sighed.

"Hahaha, she's becoming a young lady now InuYasha, you have your work cut out for you..." Miroku teased father and hit him on the shoulder.

"Shut up monk!" father hissed at him.

"Hahaha, soon enough she will be married and out of..." but before Miroku could finish what he was about to say father hit him.

"Over my dead body," father said and lifted his sleeves. He bent down and picked up the basket.

"Woah," I said as Kaede and Rin came through our home with lots of food.

"Hi Inuko," Rin said and smiled. She held a wrapped bag in her hands.

"RIN," Kikyko shouted and ran to her.

"Hi Kikyko, happy birthday" she said to her and smiled. Kikyko jumped up and down excited, as she took Kikyko's wrapped gift to the basket with the other gifts.

"Crazy girl,"I said to myself watching Kikyko run in and out of the house in excitement.

"Aye Kagome, I have been travelling with Rin and I heard Koga and Ayame will come visit," Kaede said to mother as she tapped a fist to her shoulder and sat down.

"Koga and Ayame? I haven't seen them since their last visit, when Kikyko was born," mother said thinking. I don't even remember him, I looked at mother then to the door as I heard Shippou's voice and Kohaku outside.

"SHIPPOU, KOHAKU," I shouted running outside. Finally some men to hang out with, everyone here were all girls, well except Koji but he was still a baby.

Our entire house filled with so many people, I stayed outside with Kira and Haku watching them play with Kirara as she shaped shifted into her demon form. She would fly through the air with the girls on her back, Shippou seemed to be enjoying himself as well, he would play with Koji as Kirara ran around our back yard. Kikyko would try to chase Kirara everytime she would touch the ground. She'd laugh and giggle. I looked at her confused with her weird personality.

I sighed deeply not caring for the conversation that was happening inside the walls. Kohaku was in conversation with his sister about his journeys, I loved hearing about Kohaku's trips, he always told the coolest stories. This time however I didn't want to join their conversation, I closed my eyes and leaned against the side of the house.

"Kagome," I heard a strange and unusual voice. I opened my eyes and peered through the door.

"Ayame," mother said standing up, she came to the door to greet them.

"Koga, hey I remember him..."I said to myself recognized him as he came through our house. I crawled in to the house and shifted in between mother and Kaede.

"Kagome, its been a while,"Koga said to her. Their son looked exactly like Koga he looked at me and smirked. I gave a half awkward smile to him.

"It has been, how are you?" mother asked.

"Where's InuYasha, did the mutt face disappear again?" Koga said crossing his arms.

"Koga don't start anything now,"Ayame said to him in a huff.

"Hi," I heard Kikyko say from behind me. She startled me, I turned and looked at her and the twins. Everyone had gathered inside and hovered around us.

"You are so adorable," Ayame chimed looking at Kikyko.

"That's right you haven't meet Kikyko yet," Mother said picking her up and pulling her to her lap.

"We did when she was still a baby," Koga said waving at her.

Kikyko beamed and waved at Ayame.

"You are cute, just like your mother," Koga teased Kikyko. What is with everyone and thinking my sister is cute, she's a menace and smothers me all the time. I lifted an eyebrow to her and shook my head.

"This is Touya, my boy," Koga said introducing him.

"Wow he's sure a big boy," Sango said as she poured some tea into cups.

"Yeah demons grow fast, our age progression slows but he is a growing boy," Ayame said and chuckled.

"I don't like him," Haku half whispered to me. I looked at her agreeing and nodded.

"InuYasha, have you ever thought about the future..." Miroku asked him as they walked back through the village.

"Yeah all the time, why?" father asked.

"I think about my daughters and their future, my sons, me and Sango..." Miroku said looking to the sky.

"Oh?" father said stretching his arms over his head.

"Yeah, don't you worry about their future?" Miroku asked him again.

"Always, I mean I always think about how my life would have been if Kagome didn't come back that day, would I have been truely happy..." father said to Miroku.

"She completely changed my life, and now... I have Inuko and Kiki," father sighed deeply when he said this.

"I understand what you are feeling, I wish to be here for as long as my body will allow for me to see my family grow," Miroku said with a nod. Father looked to him then to the sky.

"I worry because Inuko and I are half demons," father said.

"How so, when we pass on you and Inuko will still have a long life, for however long it may be... why worry," Miroku said to him tapping his shoulder with his fist.

"Would you move on with your life InuYasha?" Miroku asked again.

"What are you crazy monk, never... if I ever lost Kagome or Kikyko, even if they pass on I would never ever want to move on with anyone," father hissed at him.

"Hahahaha, InuYasha calm down, I was just curious." Miroku said tapping his shoulder.

"Wow," Kikyko said intriged by Koga's story. He was telling us about a demon that attack his land and his wolf tribe. I rolled my eyes to the ceiling and sighed. No wonder why dad didn't like him much.

"Koga will you be staying for Kikyko's birthday tonight?" Mother asked him as she and Sango set the tea pot and cups aside. I rolled my eyes to her and shook my head.

I didn't want him to stay especially his son, he kept looking at Kikyko as if she was his girlfriend or something. I hated the way he was looking at her.

"We'd be so honoured to stay for this young ladies birthday party," Ayame said smiling at Kikyko.

"Huh," Kikyko said hearing voices near the house. She beamed and jumped to her feet nearly knocking me and Haku down.

"Kiki," Haku said holding a hand to her chest.

"Crazy!" I said to her again. She's like a crazy person, always startling me like that. I looked at Haku she let out a deep breath.

"PAPA," I heard Kikyko shout as she ran out the door.

"Hey you," he said to her picking her up and throwing her to the air.

Miroku smiled at Kikyko and tapped her head as he came around them.

"Papa, there's a wolf man in our home," she said pointing to the door.

"I knew I smelt wolf," father said putting Kikyko down to her feet. She ran into the house as he followed her in.

"Koga," father said his voice sounded ticked off. I looked over at him then to Kikyko who had shifted her way through our crowded house to the back yard. I didn't even notice her move, she was outside with Haku and Kira and Rin playing some silly game. Kohaku and Shippou where talking near Kirara who curled up next to the water well outside. I sighed and shifted to my feet following them.

I sat down near Kohaku and Shippou and looked to the sky.

"Why are you here wolf," father's voice bellowed within our walls. I tilted my head to the door and twitched my ears listening.

"I came to see Kagome and your lovely little lady, is that a problem?" Koga said to father taunting him. He crossed his arms and nodded.

"Yes now leave," father bellowed again.

"InuYasha calm down, no need to start anything... lets allow tonights celebrations be a peaceful one," Miroku said to father so he wouldn't attempt to kill Koga.

I hadn't noticed that Touya had followed me outside as well. He came over to us and sat down in front of us. Kohaku and Shippou looked to me then to Touya. I turned my and looked at him.

"Your father's InuYasha am I right?" Touya asked with a smug look to his face. He crossed his arms and looked at me.

"Yeah, that's right,"I said bored with his presence.

"My father doesn't like your father he says he's a weak half demon who knows nothing about being a real man, whatever that means... and one day I'll be a very powerful wolf demon," he said nodding.

"My father isn't weak,"I said agitated by his words. Kohaku looked at me then to Touya.

"You know its rude to speak of others if you do not know anything about them, Lord InuYasha is very powerful, he and your father haven't gotten along for many years," Kohaku interjected, I was glad he did because if Touya had said anything more about father I was going to hit him.

Haku and Kira came over to us and sat down. Kikyko and Rin followed behind them chatting. Hakura had her brother Koji with her she held his little hands as he balanced on his feet. I looked over at them.

"Kikyko is it?" Touya said looking at her. She smiled and nodded.

"Hi," she said to him waving.

"I can't believe my father wants me to marry your sister..." Touya said and sighed deeply he looked over at me. I narrowed my eyes to him agitated.

"OVER MY DEAD BODY YOUR NOT,"I shouted at him jumping to my feet.

"Woah Inuko calm down," Shippou said to me standing in front of me. I was angry with Touya as it was for suggesting marrying my sister, she's just a baby and still doesn't even understand anything yet.

"I dare you to say that again wolf," father's voice bellowed from inside the house.

"You heard me InuYasha, I wish for Kikyko to marry my son one day, she would make a wonderful edition to our pack," Koga said crossing his arms.

"KOGA," Ayame said hitting him in the arm.

"Koga," mother said as well crossing her arms.

"NOT UNTIL I'M GOOD AND DEAD, KIKYKO WILL NOT MARRY YOUR SON," father's voice echoed.

"Calm down everybody, I'm sure Kikyko can decide for herself when she is of age," Miroku said trying to calm everyone's mood.

"Yes no need to fight, nothing is written in stone Koga," Sango said, her voice seemed agitated.

"Koga, we talked about this, we didn't come here to talk about that," Ayame said to him agitated.

"YOU WILL NOT MARRY MY SISTER, SHE'S STILL A BABY," I hissed at Touya, Kohaku stood between us so we wouldn't fight and kill eachother.

"Woah, woah calm down here," Kohaku said to us. Shippou also came around me and crossed his arms.

"Huh? What is marry?" Kikyko said. We all looked at her surprised. Yup leave it to my sister not to know what marrying someone means. Wow!

"Wow mutt face, calm yourself down, I only came here to see Kagome and your little girl, nothing more, if she chooses later on to marry my son I will not object to that courtship," Koga said standing up, he tapped his fist to his shoulder.

"AND AGAIN NOT UNTIL I'M DEAD, YOU GOT THAT KOGA..." father hissed at him angrily.

"I heard you, don't need to bark," Koga said again. Ayame looked angry she shook her head at Koga's remark.

Kaede stood up and went outside to retrieve the girls.

"I'M GOING INSIDE," Kikyko shouted stopping our squabbling.

"Wow, she's such a child," Touya said crossing his arms.

"She is not a child, well she is but... why do you care?" I hissed at him.

The girls looked to us then followed Kikyko, and Shippou inside the house. She always knew how to calm a mood, as soon as she came in to the house everyone seemed to stop arguing. She really does have spiritual powers... well I think!

"Enough fighting," Kohaku said again. I crossed my arms in to my sleeves and followed Kohaku in to the house. Touya did the same and followed us.

"Hi," Kikyko said again to everyone.

Father looked at her and then to Koga. He picked her up in his arms.

"Anything else you need wolf dog?" father said to him. Kikyko looked at Koga then to father.

"InuYasha, cut it out, I inivted them to stay for Kikyko's birthday, can we all just get along," mother said touching father's arm. I looked at her and then to father.

"Its okay Kagome, we will be leaving... happy birthday little lady," Koga said to her. She beamed at him and waved.

"Touya lets go," Koga said to him.

"I'm so sorry for Koga's actions..." Ayame said bowing down to mother and Sango. Kaede sighed deeply, she and mother came to the door walking Ayame out.

"Good leave," I said to myself as they headed out our door.

Father shook his head and put Kikyko down to her feet.

"What is your problem InuYasha?" mother said to him as she came back through the door.

"What..." he said to her. I shifted my eyes to them.

"Let's get things ready Sango, shall we?" Miroku said changing the subject.

I looked at him as he and Sango shifted around our house, their children followed them. Kaede and Rin hovered to the back yard. Father had built a round table with small stools for everyone to sit at when we had people over. Keade and Rin where decorating it.

I looked at Kohaku and Shippou, they had followed Kaede outside. I decided to join them. I knew what was coming and I didn't want to stick around to watch it.

"Let's talk," mother said to father, she crossed her arms, I could tell she was angry, her voice gave that away.

"What is your problem Kagome?" father said to her following her outside.

Mother turned around and looked at father.

"What is with you? Koga wasn't being serious, I'm sure he wasn't, and everytime he comes here you and him always squabble..." mother said to him.

"Woah wait are you okay with him being here?" father said to her crossing his arms.

"Yes it was nice to see him again and nice to see Ayame," mother said in a calm tone.

"Do not tell me you still like like him," father's voice bellowed.

"I DO NOT LIKE LIKE HIM... idiot," mother said angry again. I really don't want to get on mother's bad side today. I really hope they stop aruging and mend things.

"No, I don't like Koga okay, and I never will like him... he is no longer welcomed here Kagome, that is final..." father said again. But before he could turn to the house mother grabbed his arm.

"I don't love Koga InuYasha, I would never love him in that way... I have you, that's all Ineed..."mother said trying to change father's mood. He looked at her.

"I don't like him coming around here Kagome," father said again. Mother smiled trying to distract him she leaned into him and kissed him.

"... and his son will never marry Kikyko," father said to her again wrapping his arms around her.

Mother laughed and kissed father again. I seriously hate when they do that stuff. I peered at them through the door. I was going to tell them that everything was ready but I was to disgusted. I rolled my eyes and moved away from the door.
