AN: Sorry, everyone! I haven't gotten used to this updating-often thing yet. Well, here's Chapter Three of my head canon, with a bit of conflict now. Please review, it means so much!

Update: Definitely my bad when I say there was a bit of a glitch. It's fixed now, and turns out this chapter's quite short. I promise to update within the next week!

Time has passed. You don't quite know how much, and you don't quite care. All you know is that this girl—this girl-woman—feels perfectly right in your arms. You rock her amidst miles of fabric forest.

Briefly, you close your eyes, and she opens hers.

"Oh, Lord," she blurts, tearing away. The space between your arms is terribly cold.

"Sorry! I d-don't know what came over me—no—" Decisions flicker over Rose's face, first alarmed and then angry. "You just ditched me four years ago, you jerk," she shrieks, and starts swinging her sewing at you.

Just as suddenly as they started, the dust clouds settle. You lower your arms warily, peeking over your elbows.

"Oh—oh my God," you hear again, and you just catch a glimpse of her blue eyes, flashing in her pale face, before she turns completely white and sways on the spot.

Rose falls, faints, into your arms.
