Miles always doubts that he can grow into the mask, well, everyone else thinks he can, but it's more complicated than "Keep trying" or "A hero Always gets back up".
It's messy and hard and scary
Miles doesn't think he can do it but those words keep ringing in his ears "It's a leap of faith Miles, Thats all it is. A leap of Faith", that is what keeps him going, what gets him up in the morning when the world is cold because he wasn't fast enough to save someone. Some times he wants it to end, for him to not be fast enough to save himself.
He may not know or like everyone in the city but he knows they are all Worth saving, all deserve to live and to grow and hopefully become someone better than they were before.
Which is why he saves them all, or... at least the ones he can, It's hard not being able to save them all, to do it all, Peter Porker told him "The hardest thing about this job is that you can't always save everyone" but it's harder to live it than just hear it.
Miles knows one thing, and that is how much he hates being alone, because then the thoughts are all he can hear, theirs no distractions from it, which is how he finds himself late one night on top of a skyscraper.
At times he wants to just end it all, it's what he deserves for not saving everyone. Some times he wants it to end, for him to not be fast enough to save himself, But he knows that if he's not here than their will be no one to protect the people he loves, the city he loves.
Which is why when his Spider Senses go crazy,he for once doesn't react when he realizes it's for him to get out of the way of something, hopeing that if it looks like an accident he might feel better about dying than if he did it himself, which he has thought about many times before.
It hurts at first when he gets hit but he soon fades into unconsciousness.
At first he doesnt want to wake up but curiosity gets the best of him when he hears dripping of water and the smell of mildew and soil hits his nose.
Opening his eyes slowly,he finds himself surrounded by a dark damp cave that seems almost black even though Miles knows its daylight,as he sees a small light far across the cavern which could be nothing more than the glow coming through the cracks and crevices, although the air feels slightly less dry than it normally does.
He tries using his super strength to break his bondings but it doesn't give,as he tries again he realizes,he's been cuffed with power dampers, making him unable to escape.
He knows that no one will be able to hear him even if he yells, and he doesn't want his captor coming back til he figures out a course of action.
He just hopes that his dad cares about Spider Man enough to try to find him when he doesn't show up for a couple of hours even, praying that he'll discover the tracker that will enable after 7 hours of the suit not moving, hopefully it's been more than that but he doesn't know how long it's been,if he's been drugged or just head trauma, now all he can do is wait, cause theirs No Way Out...
