So, this story popped into my head and I needed to get it out so I could finally focus again. It all came while I was sitting on a swing in my backyard with my one-year-old nephew in my lap with my niece and other nephews running around. I was swinging back and forth watching the kids play when I thought to myself not enough shows do that thing where the characters get de-aged and freak out at what happened to them. And since at the time I'm writing this I'm into X-men (mostly the comics and animated stuff) and being the person that I am, I decided to write a story about them. I'd love feedback and wouldn't mind taking requests. (Also I'm not the best writer so if a character is missing an accent it's just cause I can't do that in writing so just pretend they have it the best you can.) I don't own X-men. This is me borrowing them to write a fun story.
Chapter 1: typical Morning
It was a typical morning at the x-mansion, the kids were loud getting their breakfast, talking with friends or watching one of Evan's homemade movies that he started creating. It was Summer and the X-men had more free time without homework or tests but they still had to train. They were given extra time to sleep in so it wasn't as bad. Rogue was getting a bowl of cereal ready when one of Tabitha's exploding energy balls landed right next to her. She had just enough time to jump away when it exploded sending cereal everywhere. The kitchen went silent for a moment and Tabitha yelled across the kitchen to Rogue.
"Sorry! I was aiming for Bobbie's bowl!"
"Well, you missed!" Rogue yelled back, sounding grumpy.
She looked at the spot where her breakfast once sat on the counter and smiled to herself. "Boom-Boom couldn't hit the side of a barn if she stood right in front of it." she thought to herself. Rogue skipped breakfast and just grabbed a glass of milk and headed back to her room. As she walked up the stairs Scott and Jean ran past her. They had heard the explosion and had gone to see what had happened.
"What happened and was it Bobbies fault?" Scott asked when he walked into the kitchen.
"Hey!" Bobbie shouts from the table.
Jean turned to look at Tabitha. She was trying to sneak out to avoid getting caught.
"Tabitha." Jean said in the mom voice that she used when she was disappointed, "What happened."
"I just accidentally made an energy ball that I accidentally threw at Bobbie and missed blowing up a box of cereal instead." Tabitha said slowly, turning around to face Jean.
"Accidentally, I thought you were able to control you but I guess you're still at beginners' level then. Below Jamie." Jean jokingly said with a smile on her started laughing, well everyone except Tabitha and Jamie. Tabitha started to inch a way when Scott stopped her.
"Hold on, you're still in trouble for using your powers irresponsibly," Scott said.
Tabitha kind of laughed and rocked back and forth on her heels waiting for her punishment.
"You're off the hook this time but don't do it again." Scott said to her
She looked up in surprise. Scott, the boy scout of the team, just let her off the hook.
"What?" she said, looking at him in disbelief.
"You heard me, It's the first week of summer and I'm feeling generous."
"Whoo-hoo!" Tabitha shouted before running off. She poked her head back into the room to say sorry and thanks before heading out.
"Wow, did the one and only Cyclops just let someone get off Scott clean?" Jean said sarcastically, elbowing Scott's arm. "Get it, Scott clean?"
"Yeah yeah whatever" Scott said leaving the kitchen with Jean close behind him.
The day went along smoothly after that with some of the kids heading out to do summer activities with friends or heading home to family. As the day started coming to a close some of the X-men ended up in the living room. Kitty, Rogue, and Tabitha were talking about some new movie that involved vampires on the couch while Jean and Scott played a game of chess in the corner. Kurt was watching TV with Evans, Bobbie, and Jamie while eating popcorn. Hank was reading a book and Logan was reading the newspaper. Prof. X then soon came in with Ororo.
"Good you're all here." Prof. X said when he looked around the room.
"What is it Professor?" Scott asked looking up as Jean checkmated his king.
"I have just picked up the brotherhood trying to break into a government chemical lab on Cerebro. I need some of you to go and stop them before anything bad happens."
"I'll go!" Kitty said, raising her hand up. "It's like totally boring here and I want some excitement."
"You just want to see your boyfriend." Bobbie teased
"Shut up!" Kitty yelled annoyed and threw a pillow at him. Bobbies laughing was cut short when a green square pillow hit him in the face.
"Settle down." Prof. X looked at both of them with a stern face. "I appreciate the enthusiasm Kitty but I already picked a team to send."
"Aww." Kitty crossed her arms and sat the way a three-year-old does when they don't get their way.
"I'm sending Scott, Rogue, Bobbie, Kurt, Ororo, Logan, and Hank." The Professor continued. "I'm not sure what they do there so be careful."
The team left to get ready and headed off. It was a simple mission. Get there, stop the Brotherhood, and make it back in time for supper. Little did they know of the writers' plays for them.
First chapter done yay. I'm a real distracted person so I may forget to write this. If that is the case and you actually like this concoction I brewed up just guilt me into doing it by saying something.
