You shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but you do anyway. It may have the best plot and writing, but you'll never read it because its outer appearance is different. So you stare at it and wonder, "Why that cover?"
My eyes lift from the book in my lap.
Untamed dark hair, a lip piercing, and long sleeves pushed up his forearms, revealing colorful ink.
I watch as he walks across the store to the romance section and selects a book.
Today's the last day I judge books by their covers.

Who am I kidding, I judge books by their covers. It's a horrible habit that is hard to kick. But I try really hard. For Edward, though, I'd be a totally different kind of judging. ;)
