Chapter 6
Ron felt a rough hand grab his shoulder. He turned around to find himself facing a very angry looking Potions master.
"We can do this one way or another. You can go willingly to the Headmaster's office, or I can drag you all the way there by the ear," Severus growled.
"Go ahead then, because otherwise I'm not going anywhe-OW!"
Needless to say, Severus ended up dragging Ron by the ear.
"Cockroach Clusters," he spat at the gargoyle.
They moved aside for him, and he continued on up the stairs.
"Gerrof, you old bat! Would you let go of my ear already?"
Severus ignored him, knocking on the Headmaster's door.
"Enter," Dumbledore called.
Severus opened the door and tossed Ron inside before entering himself.
Dumbledore's eyes twinkled with some amusement.
Severus shrugged, "he wouldn't come willingly, Headmaster."
The twinkle in Dumbledore's eyes vanished. "What has he done this time, Severus?"
"Disrespecting a student in my class, and disrespecting me. Obviously taking points and giving detentions is not enough for him," Severus snarled.
"Who was this student, Severus?"
"Harry Potter," Severus replied.
Dumbledore gasped, looking shocked. "From what you two have been through, Mister Weasley, I'd've thought you were best friends."
"We were, up until he came around," Ron glared viciously at Severus.
Dumbledore raised his eyebrows. "Why don't you tell me, Mister Weasley?"
"Harry kept it a secret from me at the end of last year. He didn't even bother telling me he'd found himself a new best friend, but I found out. Then he went to live with that greasy, slimy, old-"
"Please refrain from using such language, Mister Wealey," Albus interrupted.
"Fine then. He went to live with Sna-"
"Professor Snape, Mister Wealsey,"
Ron glared at him. "Professor Snape then. Now stop interrupting!" he snapped. "And I wrote him later that summer. I thought that letter would knock sense into him, but then we went to Hogsmeade for his birthday, and...and...BLOODY HELL! SNAPE ADOPTED HIM!"
"Severus?" Dumbledore gasped, "You..you didn't.."
"I did, Headmaster."
Dumbledore sighed, "Well it's done and over with now, so I can't do anything about it. Might I have a few words alone with him, Severus? You may head back to your class," he gestured towards Ron.
"Certainly, I've had enough of him to last a lifetime," Severus snapped, and headed out
"I suspect you're jealous, Mister Weasley?"
"Jealous? That's bloody stupid," Ron growled.
Dumbledore raised one gray eyebrow.
"OK! Fine! Maybe I am jealous! Why does it matter? Harry trusts a Slytherin more than he trusts me! Why shouldn't I be jealous?" Ron's eyes swam with tears, and he looked away. "Bloody hell, I don't mean to be such a git to him, but.." he sniffed, tears falling down his cheeks.
"Would you like me to call Mister Potter in here so it can all be sorted out?"
"Load of good it'll do you; he hates me, but fine. I guess it's worth a shot,"
Dumbledore stood up and went over to his fireplace. He grabbed a bit of Floo Powder and threw it in, then he stuck his head in and called, "Professor Snape's dungeons!"

Severus had no sooner returned to his classroom when his fireplace burst into life.
"Albus?" Severus inquired.
"Send mister Harry Potter to my office, won't you?" he said.
"Of course, sir," he said. And Harry headed out.
