Chapter 14
Harry was in the Gryffindor Common Room with Hermione and Ron the next day.
"So, who do you think would be doing this?" Hermione asked.
"Doing what?" Harry asked.
"The attacks! I mean, first you hear someone saying they're going to kill, then Mrs. Norris gets petrified, and not long after that Collin Creevey, and what's with the message written in blood on the wall?"
"Malfoy," Ron said.
"Ron, why is it always Malfoy?" Hermione scoffed.
"Well I heard Draco Malfoy saying something in Herbology this morning. He said all of the..well..you know, that word.."
"Oh just say it, Ron!" Hermione huffed.
"He said the mudbloods had better watch out," Ron said quickly.
"It sort of makes sense," Harry said thoughtfuly. "I mean, his father is a huge supporter of Voldemort-"
"Could you not say the name, mate?" Ron shuddered.
Harry ignored him, "And you know, he's sort of in charge of the Slytherins if you know what I mean. Like, he controls them, you know?"
Hermione nodded. "But we still can't prove that he actually is the Heir of Slytherin, Harry."
"Well, what do we do then?" Hary asked.
"We go to Dumbledore and tell him our suspisions," Hermione said.
"If that doesn't work?" Ron asked.
"We'll go from there," Hermione replied.

"So, based on the little bit of evidence that you do have, you intend to blame everything on Mister Malfoy?" Dumbledore asked, skeptically.
"Well, we-"
"I shall take it into consideration, Miss Granger. For the time being, I suggest you three head back to your Common Room."
"What do we do now?" Ron asked once the three were out of Dumbledore's office.
"I don't know. I'm going to the library." Hermione sighed
"Yeah, but-"
"No use, Ron, she's already gone," Harry said.
