Chapter Twenty-One;
(Warning; This chapter is merely a summary of what happens to our companions from the rest of July, up until Christmas. Enjoy and review, thank you.)

The months flew by. About a week after Gina and Itachi made their relationship official at the amusement park Deidara had decided he was going to ask Audrey to be his girlfriend. He succeed in doing this by asking the owners of the bakery to make a cake, and leave it out for Audrey to find in the morning.(Evelynn had helped him with this idea, as Deidara was not particularly the most romantic sort.) As Audrey entered work, she noticed the cake. In all honesty, she freaked out. Not because she was flattered, no. Audrey thought a ghost had a crush on her, and was going to kill her so they could be together. Oh, Audrey.. Deidara, upon hearing her scream, rushed in sooner than expected to see what had happened. Audrey was in tears, and Deidara had to explain the actual situation. After hearing the real reason the cake was there, Audrey threw her arms around Deidara and kissed him. Her first kiss. When they relayed the story to everyone else, Gina was sympathetic. Evelynn laughed like a hyena.

In August Gina had contacted a friend of hers. This friend was a genius with computers and such. He helped Gina create fake I.D.'s, birth certificates, high school diploma's, ect. for the boys. Literally everything they would need to be in the system. They had all agreed that they might as well keep their real names. The town was small, and not many people knew about the show "Naruto." Sasori took on the last name "Akasuna," Deidara took on the last name "Iwa"(much to his distaste), and Itachi kept his name as it was. Once they were in the system the guys.. Killed Gina's friend. Evelynn didn't seem to care less, Gina freaked out for a moment, but quickly regained her composure, and Audrey went into hysterics. Deidara calmed her down, and the men explained that the guy knew too much. Therefore, they had to kill him. Itachi used his fire-style jutsu and completely burned the body. Not a bit of bone or tooth left, and they proceeded to bury the ashes in the yard. "It's only right." Audrey had said.

In about the middle of August Evelynn called everyone to a meeting. She had found the perfect home. When they went to go check it out, they agreed. It was two stories and a finished basement. The basement was basically a bedroom/living room, the laundry room, and had a bathroom. The first floor held the kitchen, a bathroom, a living room, and a bedroom. In the living room there was a sliding door that led out to the backyard, complete with a patio. The second floor had a bathroom and two bedrooms, one of those bedrooms contained a balcony. Evelynn and Sasori agreed to share the second floor, Audrey and Deidara took the basement, and Itachi and Gina agreed to share the bedroom on the first floor. Evelynn quickly claimed the bedroom with the balcony. "So I can smoke my cigarettes outside in peace!" She exclaimed. Sasori just rolled his eyes at her. The rent was $950 a month, plus utilities. It would be a stretch, but with Evelynn's two jobs, Gina's job, and Audrey's job, they would be able to make it.

The bakery owners were sad to see Audrey move out. She cheerfully explained she would still work for them, same hours, she was just ready to 'get out on her own.' After moving in Sasori asked Evelynn if he could work with her in the music shop. After careful consideration, she agreed to talk her boss into letting him in. Itachi had found a job as a martial artist instructor at a new studio that had just opened, and Deidara had found a job at an art supplies store. All in all, everyone was fairly content with their lives.

August passed, and September came around. Audrey's and Deidara's relationship was blooming at a rapid pace. Gina and Itachi were taking it much slower. Sasori and Evelynn.. Their relationship, romantically, did not exist yet. Audrey and Gina decided to take it upon themselves to fix that. Unfortunately for Itachi and Deidara, their girlfriends made them help. Oh joy. While Gina and Audrey were working on an elaborate plan, Itachi and Deidara decided to go talk to their comrade themselves. Entering his room, they noticed it was cluttered with puppet parts and wood. Apparently, Deidara was the only one who wasn't willing to give up his art. Audrey and him had found a remote location where Deidara could practice his art as much as he wanted. After a brief discussion the Uchiha and bomber learned that Sasori was just letting Evelynn take the lead. Which surprised both of his comrades. Sasori was not a patient man.

"Evelynn's not a patient woman, either. She's cautious, though. Let me put it this way; Assume we were a wolf pack. Evelynn is just waiting to see if I have what it takes to be alpha, because Evelynn herself is considered the alpha-female. When she decided that I can play the part as alpha she'll make the first move." Sasori had explained to them.

It made sense. Almost everything they did seemed to be led by Evelynn. So the two men left their comrade, could they call him a friend? Well, they left him to his own, and went to their girlfriends to explain what Sasori had told them. Gina seemed to see the sense in it. Audrey thought it was ridiculous. "So were just going to do nothing?!" The brunette had wailed. The others just nodded, and Deidara patted her head comfortingly.

September passed, and Halloween was on its way. Halloween happened to be Evelynn's favourite holiday. Nothing got her blood pumping like horror movies and haunted houses. Sasori seemed to take amusement in Evelynn's delight as she gushed over costumes and Halloween decorations. Audrey had decided to dress as an angel. No surprise there. She had also taken delight in dressing Deidara up as a terrorist, no beard included. "You look awful with a beard!" Audrey had exclaimed. Gina had dressed up in a royal blue genie outfit, which was something Itachi could appreciate. Itachi himself had dressed up as a dead school teacher. Evelynn had teased Sasori, telling him he should dress up as Pinocchio. When Sasori learned who that was, he was not impressed. Instead, he wore a plain red tank top, a pair of ripped up back skinny jeans, and red devil horns. Evelynn had rolled her eyes at his lack of creativity. Evelynn herself had dressed as a female mad-hatter. Dark black dress, black lace gloves, and a black top-hat with a paper that had '10/6' written on it.

On Halloween night Audrey had devised a plan to make Evelynn go through one of the haunted houses alone with Sasori. Now, Evelynn wasn't afraid of much, but she let herself get scared, and would laugh soon after screaming her head off. Audrey and Gina knew from experience that Evelynn had a habit of latching on to the person closest to her. So on Halloween night they drove to the amusement park that had multiple haunted attractions set up. Once there Audrey immediately set her plan into action. She had tugged Deidara over to the games, and Gina(taking the hint) asked Itachi to go on a ride with her. This left Sasori and Evelynn alone. Evelynn had pouted, and asked Sasori to go with her into one of the haunted houses. He agreed, but not without mentioning how pointless it seemed. The line moved rather quickly, and soon the two were walking through dark hallways. Evelynn jumped at everything, and about half-way through caved in and latched herself on Sasori's arm. The puppet master was shocked at first, but the look of surprise was quickly replaced by a smirk. He let her hold his arm, and even took one of her hands in his. He'd laugh when ever something would jump out, and Evelynn would shriek and jump in terror. When they finally exited the haunted walk she released his arm, laughing and going on about how exciting it was. The red-headed man just watched her go on with an amused smirk on his face. He insisted they go into every haunted walk/house. Evelynn agreed, and she spent almost the whole night on his arm. Sasori definitely wasn't complaining.

After Halloween is was Sasori's and Evelynn's birthday. Evelynn's was the fifth of November, Sasori's was the eighth. Since their birthdays were so close together, they decided to celebrate them together. They ended up celebrating on the seventh. Evelynn was not pleased with this, she insisted it should be on the sixth. Sasori had continued pressing the date of the seventh, and eventually Evelynn gave in. Which surprised Gina and Audrey. Evelynn was a very stubborn woman, so for her to give in was almost unthinkable. Then again, she had given in and adopted kittens with them. That's how they ended up where they are today.

Since their birthdays were in November, just a month before Christmas, the two red-heads didn't receive much. Not that they were complaining. Audrey had made them a cake, Deidara had bought Evelynn a new tuner for her guitar, Itachi had bought her a book on Beethoven, after Gina had explained who he was, and Gina got Evelynn a new black belt with silver studs. Deidara had gotten Sasori extra tools to work on his puppets, Itachi had gotten him sand paper and wood polish, and Gina had gotten him a book on modern puppetry. Evelynn had handed him his gift muttering, 'Don't think it means anything.' It was a ring with a scorpion carved into it. Like-wise, Sasori handed her a gift, only he didn't make any remarks. In fact, he looked very emotionless. Not that it was uncommon for him to look that way. He had given Evelynn.. A locket, and on that locket was a scorpion design. The irony was almost funny to them.

Soon, November passed. Itachi and Sasori had learned to drive. Deidara seemed to be having trouble with it. Sasori now worked with Evelynn in the music studio, and would often visit her at her job in the photography studio, as well. The martial arts studio had closed down, so Itachi now had a job in a library as a librarian assistant. Deidara had been promoted to manager at his job in the art supply store. In all honesty, all six of them were very content. Audrey and Deidara were much, much closer. Itachi had asked Gina to marry him at the very end of November, and presented her with a fairly simple, yet elegant, ring. She accepted.

Now it was December. Snow was starting to fall, much to Evelynn's dismay. Deidara and Sasori had to agree. Snow was an enemy. Audrey and Itachi on the other hand, seemed to absolutely adore the snow. Though it was much easier to tell with Audrey than it was with Itachi. Gina didn't hate the snow, but had admitted she'd much rather be inside. The first few weeks in December passed. They had sent Itachi and Sasori out to get a Christmas tree, and they came back with a six foot, fairly decent tree. Audrey had taken it upon herself to explain to them what Christmas was. Really, it was supposed to celebrate the birth of Christ. Who was considered to quite a lot of people to be God's son, and their Lord and Savior. "But," Audrey had explained, "none of us are very religious. So we just use it to celebrate our friendship, and love for one another." They had all decorated the tree together, Audrey getting the privilege of setting the large snowflake on top. Sasori had made a few nut-cracker ornaments, and set them in various places on the tree. Evelynn admired his handy-work. Not that she would admit that to him. On the Eve of Christmas they all had hot chocolate, and Audrey went about tell Christmas stories. Presents were piled under the tree, and there was an exciting buzz in the air. Christmas was tomorrow. They'd open gifts, Audrey would cook a good meal, they'd have a few drinks, and bask in each others company. One by one they said goodnight, and headed off to their respective rooms.

Yes, tomorrow was Christmas day.
