Blaine's eyes grew wide, fearful.

Kurt couldn't stop. He drank until the bag was dry, his eyes locking onto the ones he loved so dearly, internally regretting not locking the door and allowing the boy he broke up with to find him in this state.

"K-Kurt?" He sounded scared, his eyes whizzing around, taking in Kurt for what he truly is.

Kurt finally registered what just happened, and now he had to deal with consequences that he had originally run from.

The blood bag fell from his hand, hitting the floor quietly. Kurt's breathing quickened and he backed up to the wall, closing his eyes, suddenly feeling very claustrophobic. His hands started to shake, the rest of him copying the action, and soon enough, he couldn't stop shaking, and silent tears were falling from his cheeks.

There was a click as Blaine locked the door, probably risking his own life, and slowly crept forwards, towards Kurt.

"Kurt?"

Kurt visibly flinched at the sound of his voice, backing away further into the wall.

"Kurt…" He sounded helpless now, the fear slowly leaving his voice, being replaced with pain.

"Please leave, Blaine." Kurt's voice cracked on the name, and he shuffled back impossibly further into the wall, wishing it would open up and suck him in, making him disappear from the world around him.

"No." His voice. It had changed again. It was stern, determined. But the pain was still lying underneath, just… not as visible as before. "I'm sick of you lying to me." A step closer. "We used to tell each other everything! Where did that all go? Now I want you to explain to me what fuck is going on here. Right now."

A silence followed. Kurt was terrified as to what to say. Why hadn't Blaine run? Kurt could feel the blood around his mouth, seeing as the blood like to go everywhere whenever he drank. He was a monster, and he even looked like one.

He clearly wasn't human.

So why was Blaine still standing there?

"Why haven't you run away?" Kurt whispered into the silence, not opening his eyes, and his voice cracking a little.

Blaine stood still, stopping to think. Wondering himself why he was still here.

And then suddenly he was speaking. The words coming out without thinking. And he realized they were true.

"Because I love you. Because I'd do anything to be with you again. Because you drinking blood isn't the weirdest thing I've seen. You being a vampire isn't that big a deal-"

That when Kurt interrupted, his eyes flying open, and feeling a little anger.

"Two questions. How do you know about vampires? And THIS ISN'T A BIG DEAL? Blaine I am a monster! I am a danger to everyone around me and all my dreams have been thrown away! It doesn't matter that I'm a finalist for NYADA, because I'll never be able to go anyway!" Kurt was trying desperately to keep his voice down, seeing as they were in school. And also trying to hide the tears that slipped silently down his cheeks. "My dreams have been torn away from me. My life, my boyfriend, my friends, my family, EVERYTHING." He stopped trying to hide the tears now, letting them fall freely, in clear view of Blaine's line of sight. "I can kill people, Blaine. And not because I want too!"

He breathed out heavily, closing his eyes again as the tears flooded his cheeks.

"Are you done?" Blaine asked softly. He had been waiting and listening. Just like always.

Kurt nodded and was immediately swept into Blaine's warm arms.

He realized just how much he'd missed them. Just how much he'd been longing for them. He hugged Blaine back, squeezing tightly; but not too tight.

"I'm sorry for what happened to you, Kurt. It's sort of terrifying to know my boyfriend's a vampire." Boyfriend. Not ex-boyfriend. Just boyfriend. "But I also know I love my boyfriend. And I'd do absolutely anything for him. And I know I'm going to help him. And he's not going to get rid of me so easily."

Kurt smiled and nuzzled himself into Blaine's chest; breathing him in.

"I love you." He mumbled, coming out muffled and Blaine couldn't really understand him. But he knew.

"I love you too." Blaine kissed Kurt's cheek gently, pulling him in tighter. "I wasn't really thinking, but of course it's a big deal, but what I meant to say was… I don't care. We can work through this, Kurt. Starting with some explanations… On both our parts."

Kurt nodded against him and pulled away. After Kurt cleaned up they situated themselves on the dirty floor, leaning against the wall; sides touching from the need of wanted to be close. They were silent for a minute, unsure of what to say, both equally as nervous.

"So… urm… how-when did you, urm…?" Blaine tried to break the silence, but he kept stumbling over his words.

"When did I turn?" Kurt asked for him. Blaine nodded and looked at him curiously. Kurt figured he was still wary about this whole. He was scared, but too in love to let that get to him. "After Regionals. The night of the last time we had sex. The day before Matt showed up."

Blaine nodded again, trying to place all the pieces together.

"Is that linked? You and Matt?"

"Yeah." Kurt looked to the floor, avoiding Blaine's eyes. "I got a text from him after you left my house, and I went to meet up with him. And there was this other vampire… He did it."

"So Matt's a v-vampire too?" Kurt registered that Blaine stuttered over the word, like he was having trouble getting used to it, but he was really trying.

"Yeah." He leaned further into Blaine's side, trying his hardest not to snuggle into him.

"Sebastian knows, doesn't he? He knew about you. He kept calling you a monster…"

Kurt nodded, confirming Blaine's question.

"And how you bruised Finn's ribs? And how you're suddenly so much stronger that you could actually throw him into a wall?"

He nodded again, biting his lip.

"And why you wouldn't sing with me in the car? And why you gone for nearly a month? You weren't really sick, were you?"

Kurt shook his head, not needing to nod to confirm the first question.

"And the sexting?"

"I was right outside…" Kurt breathed out, shifting where he sat.

"And how you got home so fast without a car?"

Another nod.

"And those bruises." Blaine whispered. Not needing a confirmation this because it wasn't a question. He was stating a fact.

A tear fell down Kurt's cheek, and Blaine wiped it away slowly with his hand, keeping his hand in place.

"You didn't mean to hurt me. It's okay-"

"But it's not. I could hurt you again, Blaine. I could lose control and… I could do so much worse than a few bruises… I don't want to hurt you Blaine. I slipped up once. It could happen again."

"What's life without a little risk?"

Kurt opened his eyes just so he could glare at Blaine.

"Sorry. I mean… I trust you. With everything in me, I trust you. You aren't going to hurt me-"

"But I could." Kurt countered.

"Then why don't you just make me like you?"

Blaine left that hanging there, listening to the silence, only broken by the sound of their breathing, until Kurt finally replied him.

"No." His voice was stern, adamant. "My entire life has been thrown away. And I could be a potential killer. I'm a monster, Blaine. I'm not doing that to you. Ever."

Another silence followed. Blaine removed his hand from Kurt's cheek, placing it on the boy's knee instead.

"How did you know about vampires?" Kurt asked. "It's something to do with that bite mark isn't it? The one on your arm?" Blaine's hand moved from Kurt's knee and subconsciously went to cover it, even though his shirt was already doing so. "I saw after we performed in the pool…"

"I… I guess I have an explanation of my own…"

They trudged down the stairs to the basement, Blaine flicking on a light as they went. He hadn't told Kurt much, only that he wanted to show him. So they'd left school, only bumping into Matt, who told them to be careful and said a few comforting words to both of them. And then Blaine had invited him along, telling him it'd be easier if they both found out know.

Kurt and Matt stood in the middle of the dusty basement, watching Blaine as he disappeared into a darker part of the room, near a wall. Kurt could faintly see his shape as he fumbled around for something on the wall.

He made a noise of triumph when he found whatever it was he was looking for. Loud clanking noise filled the air around them, and the wall besides Blaine opened up, showing them all a small room. And in the centre, a person chained to a chair. The man lifted his head up, solely to glare at them, but his eyes widened when he saw Matt and Kurt.

Both Matt and Kurt gasped.

Kurt was louder. He never thought he'd say that face again.

"Kaiser." The name fell from Matt's lips, and Kurt knew it was definitely him then, even if he never knew the guy's name.

Anger slowly built inside him, and he clenched his fists, trying not to show it. But this was the guy who ruined his life. Tore it apart. Shredded it into tiny pieces and threw it away. It wasn't that easy.

"Matt!" He seemed happy to see them, and they subconsciously felt Blaine grow confused. "You've come to-"

Kurt couldn't contain himself any longer. He rushed forwards and hit him square in the chest, knocking the wind from him, his head falling down and his dark hair falling into his black eyes.

"I see you don't appreciate my gift-"

"YOU CALL THIS A GIFT?" Kurt yelled, his eyes quickly scanning the room, noticing a patch of purple flowers, seemingly growing out of place. But Stefan had told him what they were… "You ruined my life!"

"You should be thankful-"

"THANKFUL?"

"KURT!" Matt yelled, trying to get through to him. "You're not going to be able to knock some sense into him. Believe me, I've tried." Matt closer as well, standing beside Kurt and observing Kaiser… as if he was debating something.

And suddenly, Matt's fist had made contact with Kaiser's face, a deafening crack sounding through the room.

"I'm confused." Blaine muttered, stepping into the room fully.

"This is the bastard who turned me." Kurt said, his glare intensifying, thinking about where to hit the son of a bitch next.

They were silent, and Blaine slowly moved to the flowers, Kurt sensed his movement and turned to him, watching curiously.

"So… Is this your explanation?" Kurt asked as Blaine plucked some of the stems out.

"No… well some of it." He turned, twiddling with flowers. "After you left on Boxing Day, my dad brought me down here and showed me him…" He walked closer, his eyes staring unblinkingly at Kaiser. "And-"

"Can the stupid fag stop talking now?"

Angered more, Kurt lifted his leg and kicked him right in the crotch as hard as he could muster. Kaiser yelled out in pain and strained against his chains, tugging hard.

"And he kept telling me that there were more vampires in Lima. And he kept telling me it me it could be anyone. I felt like I knew it was you. But I was scared, Kurt. I didn't want to believe it… but-"

Blaine continued to talk, but Kurt was distracted by the sound of a car engine, pulling up, cutting off, a door slamming, rushed footsteps, and then a front door opening.

This front door.

Blaine still hadn't noticed and he was going on and on. Kurt caught Matt's eyes in alarm. Matt nodded and they froze, not knowing what to expect next as Michael Anderson came barrelling into the basement.
