It All Started…

Chapter Two

Iruka sighed as he sat down at the mission desk hoping that the day would be over soon. He was more tired than he expected. Then again dealing with the angry parents had been even more emotionally draining than beating the shit out of Kakashi had been. He wondered how he would ease the situation away from his surprising expertise the other shinobi had seen that day.

Thump

Iruka blinked as a basket was set before him. He slowly looked up to see a grinning Green Beast beaming at him with a lot of dancing sparkles. "Uhmmm…can I help you Guy?" He asked uncertainly as he tried to not wonder what was in the basket that Guy had placed before him.

"IRUKA-SENSEI YOUR AMAZING YOUTHFUL PROWESS HAS SET MY HEART AFLUTTERING WITH YOUTHFUL VIGOUR!!" Guy exclaimed very loudly for everyone who was entering the office to hear and Iruka wondered if he was hearing what he was hearing correctly. "I WISH TO GIVE YOU A SAMPLE OF MY UNDIEING FERVOR. THIS GIFT IS A PROCLOMATION OF MY GREAT YOUTHFUL MANLINESS AND MY WISH TO TAKE YOU ON A ROMANTIC RENDEZVOUS."

Iruka stared up at the man in horror. Did Might Guy just ask me out? He asked himself as he tried to think of something to say to the man who now had a romantic sunset gleaming behind and was winking suggestively. "Uhh, Guy I don't know what to say?" Iruka carefully stated as he tried to move the basket from right in front of him so he could see the rest of the room.

"SAY NOTHING BUT YES SWEET AND WONDERFUL SENSEI AND I WILL TAKE YOU OUT ON A WONDERFUL OCCASION THAT YOU WILL NEVER FORGET FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!" Guy boomed out proudly as he gleamed and smiled at everyone around him for being the first one to get to the amazing man sitting at the desk in front of him.

Iruka attempted to peer around the basket at the rest of the room and found a line up at his desk while the other chunin sat waiting for someone to come and get their missions from them.

The line up of people standing behind Guy was all holding a variety of gifts and were attempting to see around Guy and the basket in front of their target. They had all had the idea that they could possibly ask the amazing little chunin out when they stopped by to drop off their mission reports and pick up their next mission.

Iruka groaned at the vexing site and tried not to jump out the window behind him and disappear before he had to deal with all the people that were attempting to get closer to him. It seemed that his little display with Kakashi had garnered the attention of all the shinobi of the village who were single and looking whether they were straight, bi, or gay.

Tsunade entered the mission room wondering what was going on with the line up that was going down the hall. Usually everything went much smoother than this. She edged her way in to hear Guy sprouting his usual nonsense about youthful vigor and wondered why all her shinobi where carrying a gift of some sort.

"What Pray Tell Is Going On Here?" Tsunade questioned making her voice louder than that of Guy's was considered an amazing feat. "There Are Missions To Be Done?" Her answer was a lot of shuffling feet and people turning somewhat ashamedly away from her while others took chances to scoot closer to the mission desk. "Well what the Hell is going on here!?"

Iruka sighed when the hokage made her appearance. Maybe the idiots would leave him alone now.

He stood up and made his away around the towering shinobi that were close to his desk to get the attention of the fifth hokage. "Tsunade-sama, these people are taking the opportunity to make their feelings known to me. It would seem that my temper tantrum has…got me more attention than I thought."

The chunin purposely didn't make any eye contact with anyone but the blonde woman who looked like she was ready to pound some sense into people before she smirked at him and he dreaded what she was going to say.

"Since everyone here would like to make their attention known to my favorite chunin you will place your gifts as well as a note saying your intention on the desk over there before going to any available desk to hand in their reports and pick up the mission that is assigned to you. Any objections you can report to me personally." She stated with a smirk as she motioned to him. "Iruka is going to come with me and he will go over everyone's message after the day is done and give you an answer after he has made his decision." Her eyes went flat as she glared at the mutinous expressions. "Am I clear?" She asked in a deadly sweet voice.

Iruka sighed as Tsunade grabbed his hand and dragged him from the room. He knew he was going to get another one of her lectures and the sensei also was aware he deserved it. He had almost let it be known that he was more than he seemed to be.

Tsunade was trying not snicker as she dragged poor Iruka behind her to her personal office. This was more entertaining than she thought it would be. She let go of his hand when the doors were closed behind them. Her assistant looked questioningly as she moved to her desk.

She finally gave up and let loose the gales of laughter she had been holding in. "You…should…have…seen…it!" She managed to gasp out to Shizune as she tried to stop the laughter at the indignant look on the only man in the room. "They were…lined up…to almost…outside…just to…see Iruka."

Shizune rolled her eyes at her sensei's hilarity. "What are you talking about?"

Tsunade managed to get control of her laughter and told her assistant what had been happening and noticed the gleam of amusement that was entering her young friend's eyes. "…so I told them to put their gifts on a desk with a note and he would get around to answering them eventually."

"This isn't funny…" Iruka protested as he glared fulminatingly at the two woman. "How in hell am I going to answer them all? I don't want a relationship with anyone! I have enough trouble with my life as it is. It's bad enough that I already have a crush on someone and h…they don't even know it. I'm a hunter-nin, a sensei, and work mission desk when the hell am I supposed to have time to answer the fucking idiots?!" The dolphin snarled as he glared at the now curious women watching him.

"Who?" Tsunade asked as she placed her elbow on the table so her hand could cradle her chin.

The 'chunin' just glared murderously at her. Before crossing his arms and pouting as the two woman looked at him with conniving eyes.

"He may have left a present for you." Shizune said speculatively as she placed the papers for Tsunade to sign before her and received a groan from the blonde for her efforts.

Iruka glared. He knew the person he loved very well and that person would never do anything of the sort and let alone be interested in him.

The two woman looked at each other with eyes that stated they were going to have fun meddling in this little problem. They would find out who the person was if it was the last thing they did.

Iruka caught the look and sighed he should have kept quiet. Now he would have two busybodies after him. They had been telling him that he needed to find a 'Friend' for some times. He groaned at the thought of what they would get up to to find out who he was interested in.

He stared in stupefied amazement at the idiots that had lined up with their gifts for his sweet little hunter-nin. The stupid fucks had just noted only a little bit of what he was capable of and still they were unaware what the man was capable of.

He would have to do something about this little…problem before it went wrong for him. He wasn't going to let anyone get their hands on the amazing shinobi that they were all completely unaware existed.

Tsunade looked up from her paperwork to see Shizune working her way through her own and Iruka sound asleep in the chair he was pouting in. Really the man was just too sweet for his own good, even if he was extremely deadly, she thought in amusement. She checked the time and grunted when she saw that it was a half hour after mission desk closure. She stretched and grinned as she thought of going over all the notes to see what truly sadistic or sappy people really worked for her.

"Hey Iruka!" She called softly so as not to startle the man.

Shizune looked up and smiled softly at the sight of the sleeping sensei. Kami I wish he was straight! He is one hot man that shouldn't be wandering around single. She looked over to see Tsunade smirking at her knowingly and blushed.

Iruka heard the fifth call him and slowly took in his surroundings by the sounds and smells around him before he opened his eyes. He yawned showing his perfect teeth before eyeing the two woman who were now set on torturing him.

Tsunade rubbed her hands gleefully together as she stood up from her chair. "Time to go see what our wonderful shinobi have left our poor little chunin-sensei." She announced as she sailed through the room and out the door heading for the mission room. Shizune followed in her wake with a startled Iruka trailing behind them sulking at being dragged to what he thought of as a fate worse than death.

He turned the corner into the mission room and halted with a frown when he heard a sound of dismay. He entered the room and what he saw surprised even him…
