It All Started…
Chapter Three
Iruka frowned as he turned to see what had the women's attention. What he saw made his jaw drop in astonishment.
Before all the gifts that had been brought for him were slowly being devoured by a towering inferno of flames that were somehow not burning up everything around them. The words…IRUKA IS MINE! BACK THE FUCKING HELL OFF.
The sensei stared up at the words and wondered who else he was going to have to beat the hell out of that was now stalking him. He looked carefully down at the floor looking for the seal that he knew would be there that was being used to contain the fire that was slowly eating the last bits of presents. The fire was even strong enough to destroy the metal of the weapons that were being given as well.
Tsunade was growling about what torture she was going to put the person through while Shizune tried to calm her down. He ignored it as he shifted closer his sharp eyes taking in the surroundings around the table and finding the five seals that were placed in equal distances from each other. The hunter-nin moved for closer look at the seals to see what else he could tell by the way they were made to have them fizzle and spark and destroy themselves as the fire above them finished off the last of the 'edible' presents.
"Well at least I won't have to answer all those notes now." Iruka muttered as he unintentionally pouted at not getting a better look at the paper seals so that he could at least get a better trace of who had done it so he could beat the bastard/bitch up for laying claim to him in such away.
He heard Tsunade growl at him in response to what he said.
"No you won't but you will have an opportunity to hunt down whoever did this and drag them to Ibiki for punishment." She stated flatly as she pivoted on her heel and leave the room. Shizune following on her heals in the hopes of calming down the irate sannin.
Iruka watched in bemusement. How in the world was he going to find out who had done this? A slow smirk spread over his features. He would pull a Naruto. He pulled out one of his kunai and wrote out a huge thank you over the words that had been wrote. He would just wait and see if he got a response and hope that the person eventually screwed up and he could catch him in the act of his stalking.
Iruka groaned as his alarm's annoying jabberwalling echoed loudly in his room. He didn't want to get up and teach the annoying brats today. He just wanted to spend a peaceful day in bed, but he knew that that was not an option.
The chunin slowly pushed his way out of bed and made his way to the kitchen before remembering that his coffeemaker was no longer among the living. He stared blearily into the kitchen and focused on the shiny new machinery that was sitting prominently on his countertop. His eyes immediately sharpened as he quickly perused his apartment looking for any signs that the intruder had been there as he made his way over to the new appliance and found the note.
It was short, sweet, and simple. YOU ARE WELCOME. He stared down at the note trying to see what else he could find and nearly jumped put of his skin as a beep was heard from the brand spanking new coffeemaker that had just started to brew his beloved beverage.
Okay this is starting to get on my nerves. Iruka grimaced as the delightful smell that slowly began to permeate his apartment. It is even my favorite goddamn blend. Who the fucking hell is this asshole! The sensei sighed and glared at the glowing numbers of the clock on the machine before heading for a much needed shower knowing that when he was done the coffee would be finished brewing.
On his way to the school the hunter-nin decided to drop off at the T&I office and give them the note to see what they could get out of it that he couldn't.
"Hello Iruka-Sensei!" The purple haired ninja behind the desk chirped at him as she leered at him. "Did you get my note and present?"
Iruka winced. He had hoped that Anko Mitarashi hadn't joined in the present givers but it seemed that she was. "I am sorry Mitarashi-san but all the presents were destroyed by someone." He told her carefully wishing that he hadn't stopped in now. "But I am in charge of finding the person who would be so rude as to destroy whatever wonderful present you had left for me." He lied between teeth as he tried to smile sweetly at her.
Anko growled menacingly as she slowly stood up. "Are you telling me that someone destroyed my gift for you?" She glared angrily at the 'chunin'.
"Actually all the gifts were destroyed." Iruka stated trying to placate the excitable ninja. "So no one is going to get a response till they try again." Shit! Wrong thing to say. The hunter-nin nearly hit his head on the desk in front of him at the stupidity of saying that. It would be around the village in hours and it would all start over again. "Anyways…" He continued slowly ignoring the listening ears of the other ninja hanging around the office room. "I was wondering if you could give this to Morino-san and see what he thinks about it." He handed over the note and waved his hand as he made a quick retreat. "I have to get to the academy. I have kids to teach bye." He called to the kunoichi as he escaped before he could be ambushed by the ninja in the waiting room.
He looked down at the note and smirked as he watched his little hunter-nin leave with all the other ninja in hot pursuit. He had managed to grab the note from Anko before she zipped off after the dolphin. He gave a slight smile as he wondered what fun he could have with Iruka.
Let the Fun begin. He thought as he moved back into the building he worked in. He knew fully well that the hunter-nin was capable of taking care of himself.
Iruka glared his class into submission as he waited for the bell to ring. He knew it was useless to try to teach them anything else. They wouldn't listen to anything else he said. It was of course the weekend the next day and they were ready to run. "Remember to do your home work." He shouted as he heard the bell ring through out the building.
He sighed as he stared down at the homework that was piled on his desk before he looked up to the windows that were full of people staring at him. His class had been distracted all day by the stalkers arraying themselves there. The fights over said windows had been even more of a distraction. He shook his head before taking the pile of paper and shoving it into a bag before entering the corridor outside his classroom and disappearing in a puff of smoke and leaves.
Iruka opened his door and stared at the mess before him. It seemed that people had been trying to get into his home. He stared at all the traps that had been set off in amusement. It appears that people had taken him lightly again.
He then frowned and stared at the amount of mess. There were a few too many kunais and shurikens in the wall. It seems that my stalker is helping me out a little bit. He looked around in bemusement before looking more closely at the patterns. Whoever they are reset the traps after the they had been set off. I'll have to thank them again.
Iruka blinked out his thoughts when he heard the sound of the knocking at his door and slowly made his way to it checking to see who it was and sighed with relief when he found the familiar chakra signal.
"Hey Naruto." Iruka said with a smile when he opened his door and greeted said blond. "What are you here for?"
"Well I heard that you may need some help cleaning up after all the idiots tried to get into your apartment while you were working." Naruto beamed at his father figure.
Iruka sent a silent thanks to the kamis for their aid as he escorted his previous student into the mess that was now his home.
"Whoa! Iruka-sensei this is like a disaster zone." Naruto stated the obvious as shadow clones suddenly appeared and began the cleanup duty.
The hunter-nin would have used the same jutsu if he didn't know that there was eyes always watching him. He let the blond do most of the work as he made dinner for the two of them. He knew that it would be demanded once the fox container was finished.
It was a little known fact that he was a very good cook and that he had actually taught Naruto how to as well. Though Naruto only got the chance to cook when he was here because the citizens were not to fond of him and wouldn't sell food to him unless it had gone bad or was poisoned. Iruka smiled as he heard the good natured arguments between the clones as he worked.
He would have a nice afternoon with his favorite knucklehead before he finished his work for the night. He wouldn't put off marking the assignments in case a mission came in.
Iruka looked with satisfaction at the completed pile of marked assignments as he stretched out his kinks. It was worth getting it done and would allow him a nice weekend if he didn't have other duties come up. One less thing to worry about was always good in his book.
He looked up speculatively wondering how he was going to thank his helper/stalker for his aid in the trap department. Hmmm, I wonder what I can do for him/her… He looked over to the kitchen to where the leftovers sat waiting to be put away. A slow grin came across his face as he moved quickly. He would leave the person a warm meal.
He placed the pan with heating seal on the ledge in front of his window inside of his apartment with the extra kunais and shurikens. He left a simple note saying thank you. Before heading off to bed.
He entered Iruka's apartment to retrieve his weapons and found the note and heated pan of food. He read the simple note with a slight uptwist of lips as he sniffed the delicious food that was under the lid.
It would seem that he would have to leave a thank you as well as you're welcome note for his hunter-nin. Now what should I leave for him that he would appreciate…
