Chapter 22: The long road ahead.
Brittany was depressed and everyone knew why. The 11th ODSTs lead by Buck nor BLUE team or NOBLE team where heard from for three days after she went into labor. Things on Valhalla were getting worse as Jul' Madama pressed his advance to claim the HALO aray. Brittany how ever didn't show her depression in battle though. That depression turned into pure rage, one that would send even her own father running for the hills to get away "Junior, how much more of a charge do you have left on that energy sword?"she asked
"Not much."said Junior.
She had to think of something Jul sent his troops to do the dirty work while he hid like a coward form her rage. It really didn't help when she came back down after a few hours of having her daughters Catherine and Mikayla as well as her son Jun jr. Hell the name for her son stuck because Natty seen him and her eyes lit up "Look its Jun Jr." Natty said.
Brittany of course cried after everyone left as she nestled her son close to feed him from her breast "I miss your father little one I wish he was here now to see the three of you."she said to her son.
That was three days ago this was now and there was no way Brittany was letting that sick son of a jackass get away with what he done to her shadow wolf.

Jun staid with the Librarian in the light for three days hoping to get her Ex-Husband's DNA out of his body. The first day was full of pain, the second the pain lessened now he barely felt a thing. The Librarian had invaded his own body digitally to fight off what Jul had done. When he woke up he was greeted by the face of a pissed off Harmony "WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?"asked Carter taking the words out of Harmony's mouth
"I don't know how to answer that."he said
"Well you better before Brittany's mother and father get here they are ready to skin you alive."said Emile
"No worse than what Brittany wants to do to Halsey."said Kat.
He looked over at Kat "What thats supposed to mean?"he asked
"Halsey knew about Jul having the DNA."said Harmony
"And when Brittany found out because Halsey said it in front of her..."said Jorge darkly.
Had the big guy turned on Halsey? "Brittany went to flipping ship I mean she had me about to hide in a dark corner some where to avoid her for a while."said Emile
"She scared the hell out of everyone. I think they heard her on the Infinity taring Halsey a new one North and Fred had to hold her back."said Carter
"Yeah dad she wanted to kill Halsey over you leaving. Then shit really hit the fan."said Harmony
"How so?"he asked
"She went into labor."said Carter flatly.
He couldn't help it he facepalmed "Fuck."he groaned
"Fuck is right you little shit."said a voice.
Oh well he was a dead man now, her father had shown up "You really stepped in it know Rookie."said Buck.
He stood up no way in hell he was going to let Chief beat his ass this time, not with out getting at least one good hit in "Do you have any idea what you have done?"asked Samantha
"I have heard."he said
"Why did you do it then?"asked Chief
"Would you have believed me?"he asked in a deadly tone.
Emile backed up it was the same tone he got with him when he 'Grabbed' Brittany all that while ago aboard the Infinity kid gloves were off now. Chief walked over to him "Chief don't do it."said Fred.
Chief swung and he ducked moving out of the Spartan IIs foot range, now he had his ass. For all the times Chief picked on him acting that he wasn't good enough for his daughter, all that rage went into the power of his fist. He caught Chief right across the chin platting landing a hit on the suit that covered his chin. Chief's head snapped back "I am tired of your shit. Stay the hell out of my way."he said stepping around Brittany's father and heading for the exit.

She was beyond pissed Junior had been stabbed by Jul himself "So you finally show your face you creep."she said.
Jul just laughed at her "Your mate served his purpose aboard my ship for the little time he was on it. I have to admit in sleep seeing you through his eyes feeling him touch you was a experience I wish to live myself. Your mate is dead and will not return to you."said Jul.
She snarled at him "You forget who your messing with asshole. I took out over half of your battalion on Reach. And I have to say I know better. You see I am a lone wolf, I hunt alone. Yet I am not for along time I only let a select few near me. I never truly found my pack. On Reach is were I found them and my mate. Even though I did not see it until my dieing breath, I found my Alpha. Like me, he hunts in the shadows alone. Longing to feel excepted for who and what he is. I know he is alive Jul I feel him, I know he is coming home. I know of what you did to him and for that I will rip out your throat. For when you back a wolf into a corner it will show..."she paused closing her eyes feeling the ground beneath her feet she opened her eyes and looked at her opponent baring her teeth "OUR FANGS!"
She rushed forward jumping into the air energy sword in hand activated the blue pulsing blade thirsting for blood. As her attack came down Jul parried it delivering a kick to her side, she quickly recovered and went in for a second the fighting around them stopped to see the dueling pair fight. She was moving as fast as lightning dodging attacks and delivering her own. Her battle brothers and sisters chanted her Sangheili name over and over again giving her strength. Jul roared at her when she kicked him into a bolder and stood up. She was on top of him ready for the kill when he thrust his hand forward stopping her with an invisible wall before lifting her into the air and throwing her into the hardest thing she knew Maine. She stood up and looked at Jul "The Didact grants me power, he stopped you and tossed you away."said Jul.
She snarled in rage "You will NEVER have me, get it through your damn head asshole."she snarled.
ISIS had interfaced with her armor bringing up all Freelancer abilities. She had to find one for something like this and fast or she'd never see her children or Jun again.

As soon as the got signal and heard what was going on they loaded up into the Pelican flown by Spartan Grant and headed for base. Jun had gave him one hell of a upper cut and was a wise ass too. Jun was smart enough to put his armor on when he left three days before. He had to give Jerome and Alice credit though the boy had Jerome's punch and Alice's 'fuck with me to much and when I have had enough I fuck you up' temper. His eyes focused on Jun the intire ride "Alright back there word is the fighting has stopped due to Jul' Madama fighting Brittany one on one. Also Junior The Arbiter of Valhalla has been gravely wounded."said Grant
"How long has Jul and Brittany been fighting?"asked Buck.
There was silents in the cockpit then Grant came onto their channels "Hoya says they have been going at it for 5 hours."said Grant
"Thats as long as we have been air born."said Dutch
"It gets better Hoya also said that Jul' Madama is using the Didacts power."Grant added.
His head snapped to the cockpit "Trust me I know how that feels its not fun."he said
"Is she alright?"Jun asked
"Still as scrappy as ever the way I hear it."said Grant.

Brittany's waypoint came alive on his HUD they we about 1 minuet out. He had to help Brittany some how, question was how? As they got closer Grant got lower to the ground and they stood up "This is going to be fun."said Mikey
"Only you would call this fun."said Dutch
"Lock it down you two before I put my boots to your asses."said Buck.
Grant let them off on the high ground landing the pelican as they got to the edge Jul had Brittany by the throat. He reached for his sniper rifle and a round off of his shoulder guard. He chambered the round went into active cammo and took aim. He steadied his breathing 'Don't worry my she wolf. I am right were I need to be...home.'he said to himself as he pulled the trigger.
He caught Jul in the shoulder and he dropped Brittany. She landed on her feet and looked to see where the shot came form. She stared right at him a smile coming to her lips. A genuine smile, it dropped as she put her 'I am going to kill you' face on.

Jul threw her and her allies back ward about twenty feet into the air. Lucky for her she landed on Griff "Thanks Private Fat ass."she said
"At least this fat ass saved your ass."Griff shot back.
His remark got him punched in the balls by Tex, she chuckled and shook her head. Jul had lost one to many forces and was retreating permanently they had fought for Valhalla and one, but at a great cost as Doc came out "I bring sad news Brittany. The Arbiter of Valhalla Junior is dead."said Doc.
Everyone bowed their heads as Tucker began to cry "Also Doctor Halsey is dead. A balmite round through the skull."said Doc.
She was the second to the Arbiter meaning she now lead Valhalla.
