Chapter 23: The New Arbiter
After they laid their dead to rest, the preparations were being made for something what he didn't know. Even The Arbiter of Sangheilious was in the dark in the matter. Brittany had been gone for hours, leaving Sarah, Kat, and Harmony running around the base changing diapers and feeding the triplets. He of course still had to recover from his injuries and was servilely threatened by not only his future father in-law, but his mother in-law. It wasn't until sun down Brittany came into the room tired as hell. Not only did her eyes show it the way she moved showed it. She went straight to the bathroom and took a shower. Something was on her mind, what he did not know. When she finally came out she got into bed beside him and curled up "Brittany, whats wrong?"he asked
"Nothing just that the balance of power in Valhalla is about to shift."she said
"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"he asked.
She looked at him "I was Junior's second in command here on Valhalla. As such I am his successor."she said.
He let those words sink into his head "Arbiter?"he asked shocked
"Yes and my father is really going to have a shit fit."she said
"How so?"he asked.
She had perked his curiosity and had his attention "My Field Marshall armor is nothing compared to the armor I am about to receive."she said.
His mind got to working on what the armor would look like "Why you horny man you."she accused
"What I am trying to see in my mind how bad it could be."he said innocently.
She crawled on top of him her thighs on each side of his legs "You really want to see it?"she asked
"Hmm, I can't leave here your mother and father threatened to brake both my legs."he said
"I will deal with them."she said
"Also how would it be a bad thing?"he asked
"ONI, they have been wanting the location of the Valhalla for years."she said
"Don't you technically don't play by their rules?"he asked.
She nodded "I just don't want a war started over this ring."she said.

Jun kissed her softly "Babe, if I don't know better I'd say you are worried about ONI trying to use NOBLE and BLUE teams to gain control over Valhalla. You don't need to worry about it, everyone here is loyal to you and you alone. NO one...Well maybe ONI would be crazy and foolish enough to oppose the Freelancers and the comic relief on this ring, but people will back you up."he said.
She smiled and kissed him "You always know what to say to get my mind off of troubling matters."she said.
He kissed the top of her head "Oh your mother wanted to talk to you when you got back. You might want to see her."he told her.
She nodded and got up "Well I will go and talk to her."she said.

She rested her head on John's shoulder when the door opened "AHHH!"cried a voice.
She looked over to see her daughter with her back turned "Oops."said John.
She playfully slapped his shoulder "John cover up."she said.
She put on her tank top and shorts as John went to the bathroom with a set of cloths "You can look."she said
"That is not something I wanted to see."Brittany said.
She smiled "Don't worry sweet heart."she said
"That will teach you to knock young lady."yelled John in the bathroom.
Brittany shook her head "Jun said you wanted to talk to me?"Brittany asked
"Yes I did, you have been gone all day what is going on?"she asked
"I have been asked to become Arbiter of Valhalla."Brittany said lowly.
She smiled she knew this day would come for her daughter "Brittany, you ran the Freelancers. Now you are moving up."she said
"Why am I always left out of the loop?"Brittany asked.

The next day Brittany woke up early and woke Jun up as well, the two got ready and headed out to the villages in the sand belonging to the elders of Valhalla. She was to be given the armor of Arbiter, Jun put a hand on her shoulder "Are you alright?"he asked
"I hope what I am doing is the right thing."she said.
After spending hours of prayers and saying her oath she was taken to the chamber, her skin suit had been modified to show her midriff and only covered under her chest, her long powerful legs now bare. At least the cod and rear plate were long enough as well as the side. She was given a long robe (Think of Rosso the Crimson of DOC) her boots came to her knees and her arms were covered to just above her elbow. Her helmet fitted to her head perfectly "Lady Akira, what is it that you wish of us?"asked Tila.
She was Brittany Spartan B-312 to the UNSC a lone wolf here she was Akira of Valhalla "I need a new name don't I one that is both known to Valhalla and the UNSC?"she asked
"It would be wise Arbiter."said Til' Dame the lead elder
"Akira the wolf."said Nipps.
She smiled it had a nice ring to it "Arbiter Akria the wolf it is then."she said.
Ulin' Dame, Til's son came in and knelt "My lady your mate grows impatient of waiting."said Ulin.
She chuckled "He is who he is."she said.

Jun leaned against the column as Brittany came out and as soon as he laid eyes on her he was glued to the spot "Yeah your father will really love this."he said.
He couldn't help but want to take her back to base and ride her injured or not. She looked at him "It is time."said Til.
When they touched down Carter caught Brittany's state of armor and bowed "Ma'am."Carter said
"Carter, even in this armor use my name."she said
"Brittany."Carter replied
"Carter what are you...Oh my god. Thats what Junior ment by the light will brighten a new path."said Kat.
All the freelancers and both red and blue bases bowed as Brittany walked by Kat and Carter followed close behind them. As soon as Jorge, Emile, and Harmony saw them they bowed and joined Kat and Carter.
As soon as they entered and John seen his daughter he couldn't help but laugh like everyone else. The big bad Master Chief passed out form seeing his daughter's new armor "Am I going to get an ear full later."Brittany said
"Well that isn't something you see everyday."said Buck
"Hes going to have a nice knot on the back of his head form that."said Cortana
"Its not everyday your daughter becomes Arbiter of Valhalla waring something that looks like that."said Avery.
Brittany headed for the war room "Brittany I have gotten a message form Captain Lasky."said ISIS.
Brittany put her hand on the map table "Lets hear it."she said
"Admiral Hood is on board the ship. He has The Directors location."said ISIS.

She looked at the Arbiter of Sangheilious "Vadeem, I need you and your troops to stay here encase Jul decides to show up again. You will be helping protect the ring. Freelancers, Reds, Blues, NOBLE team, BLUE squad, and ODSTs we will be heading to where Director asshole is."she said.
This got laughs out of Buck and his ODSTs "As you wish."said Vadeem
"ISIS how long til transport?"she asked
"Its arriving now. One Pelican super support troop carrier is arriving and I don't need to tell you who is flying it."said ISIS
"And the other half of the Key?"she asked
"Do you think someone is crazy enough to take it from Tex?"asked ISIS
"Point taken."she said.

When he woke up he was on the a Pelican "BRITTANY WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?"he asked
"Oh good morning father how was your sleep?"Brittany asked
"Don't change the subject, what the hell are you wearing?"he asked.
Fred and the rest of his team shook their heads "John, are daughter is the Arbiter of Valhalla now you are going to have to deal with that fact."said Samantha.
The Gold and Blue Junior once wore was now on his daughter, something he never saw coming "I swear if anyone gets 'Grabby' heads are going to get cracked open."he said
"You mean like yours when you passed the fuck out?"asked Buck in a smart assed tone that got a snicker form everyone on board.
He felt a bit of pressure to the back of his head and looked to see Samantha "Sarah Samantha, what the hell are you doing to my head?"he asked
"Trying to see if the knot has any swelling in it."she replied.
Jun put an arm around Brittany who had the children with her at least they were smart about it.
He was not going to live this one down.
