CHAPTER 13: DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENTS & A SURPRISE...
DEEKS P.O.V.
Callen and Sam talked to each other, but Kensi said not a word to me.
I looked over at Kensi a few times and I'm sure she knew I was looking. At one point I caught her eye and it looked like she was trying to hold back a smile.
When the day finally ended I grabbed my things as fast as I could before starting to leave.
"Marty!" Kensi called and I turned around to face her. "Finally talking to me again? Silent treatment all day and now you want to talk to me?" I questioned as she came to stand beside me.
"Marty, I didn't mean to blame you for everything. I know I..." Kensi began. "Kens, let's not talk about this here." I suggested. "Okay, do you want to go back to my house?" Kensi asked and I really wanted to, but there was something I had to do first.
"I have a few things to do first, but I will see you later." I said, but she stepped away from me before my lips could even get close to hers. "Fine, I'll see you later then." Kensi said and I could tell she was upset. "Kensi," I called, but she had already gone back to her desk and started to gather her things.
With a sigh I left to head to my first stop...the jewelry store and after that...
THE BEACH...
TWO HOURS LATER...
I just called Kensi and asked her to meet me here at the beach and as I stood next to my car, she showed up.
"What's going on Marty? You sounded..." Kensi began as she got out of her car. "Close your eyes Princess." I told her with a smile. "Why?" She asked suspiciously. "Don't you trust me Kens? It's not like I'm going to throw you in the ocean." I joked and instantly regretted it. "How do I know that?" She wanted to know.
"Just trust me; I have a surprise for you." I replied and now she looked curious. "A surprise," She inquired raising an eyebrow and I took her hand. "Close your eyes." I repeated and Kensi rolled her eyes, before she finally closed them.
I took her hand in mine and led her down the beach before finally coming to a stop, then letting go of her hand, getting the ring out of my pocket and getting down on one knee beside her.
"Marty, when..." Kensi began. "Okay, open your eyes." I told her and when she did she let out gasp.
KENSI'S P.O.V.
I opened my eyes and couldn't believe what I saw. Marty was kneeling beside me with a ring in hand and written in the sand were the words:
WILL YOU MARRY ME
The words had been written in rocks and seashells. I looked at the words and then at Marty feeling tears in my eyes.
It had to be the hormones.
Marty was being so romantic and I knew we had both changed a lot since finally decided to give our 'thing' a chance, but I never thought he would do anything like this.
"Marty..." Was all I could say as I looked at the word and then at Marty once more.
"K-Kens," Marty inquired and sounded nervous as the sun was setting I gave him my answer.
"Yes Marty...I will marry you." I said and he stood up slipping the ring on my finger.
He then let his hands fall to my waist, pulling me as close to him as he could and kissed me. My fingers found their way into his hair. We broke apart as the last rays of the sun disappeared.
'How could things get any better?'
"It took us a long time to finally admit there is a 'thing' between us and now I will never let you go." Marty promised smiling at me.
We began to make our way back to where we had left our cars.
"Why don't you go home and get Monty, then bring him to my house?" I suggested. "Is there a reason you want me to come over?" Marty teased. "I just thought you might want to spend some time together as a family." I told him with a smile and he gave me another kiss before I got into my car.
"All right, I'll see you soon." Marty promised with a smile and I started my car.
I knew I had the same smile on my face that was on his.
KENSI'S HOUSE...
I had gotten home just ten minutes ago and now I was I waiting for Marty to bring Monty over.
Finally I heard the door and went to open it already knowing it was Marty and Monty.
"Hey, Monty," I said as I reached down to unhook his leash. "Hey what about me," Marty protested stepping into my house and closing the door. "What about you?" I teased.
"You asked me to bring Monty over so could spend time together as a family. Then you only greet..." Marty began, but stopped when I kissed him.
Marty backed me into the wall and kissed me back. I felt his hands moving down my body. He pulled back when his hand landed on my abdomen and he looked at me.
"What?" I asked him. "We're a family now Kensi. You're stuck with me forever." Marty told me with a grin and I rolled my eyes. "I-I can't believe this is happening." I replied once again feeling tears in my eyes and he reached up to wipe the tears away.
This time he kissed me and began to steer me toward the bedroom as our clothes came off along the way. After making it to my bed he looked me in the eye, then he kissed me before starting to trail kisses down my body and I shivered.
He stopped when he reached my abdomen and looked at me.
"Hey Kens, you know you're starting to show a little." Marty said as he moved to lie down beside me and put his hand on my abdomen.
THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE...
THE NEXT MORNING...
I checked in then Marty and I sat down to wait.
"Kensi Blye?" Came a voice a few minutes later and I stood up.
Marty got up as well and we followed the nurse down the hall.
Today would be my first ultrasound and I know I was a little late getting it, but I had wanted Marty to be there with me.
It didn't take long after we were shown to our room that the doctor walked in.
"Hello, Ms. Blye. I'm Doctor Erica Wheatherby. How are you doing today?" Dr. Wheatherby asked. "Besides the morning sickness, and always having to go to the bathroom. I'm fine." I told her. "Okay I'm going to warn you this get might be a little cold." She told me and I gasp as she put the gel on me.
Marty and I looked at the screen as the picture appeared. Then she frowned and started to move the wand again.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
