Chapter 24: The Director's Mistake.
Brittany and her 'Guard' as York called both BLUE team and NOBLE followed close. She was in the middle of the two teams as her father was behind her and Jun was in the front. Something she was going to have to get used to. Crimson and Majestic waited at the lift doors "Where's Brittany?"asked Grant.
Jun moved and she stepped forward "Sweet baby moon walking Moses. Your father is letting you walk around in that?"asked Hoya drooling.
Hoya wasn't the only one DeMarco and Madson were too "Guys back off look at the armor color."said Thorn.
She looked at Thorn at least he was the smart one "Shes the new Arbiter?"asked Grant
"Correct, now if you will be so kindly as to move I have a meeting to attend. Carter, John. You two are the only two to accompany me."she said
"Yes Ma'am."said Carter and her father.

Jun watched as Brittany, Carter, and John got on the lift. Her eyes met his and she smirked, well he for one needed to find a place to sit down "Your still not fully recovered."said Grant
"Don't worry about me."he said
"Boy sit down before you fall down."said Avery.
He looked at Brittany's father's best friend and cohort through the war. He sat down and looked at Avery "Johnson, I was way ahead of you before you said anything."he said
"I can tell you were fighting to stay on your feet since we landed."said Avery.
He winced "Jun, you pull a stunt like this again. And when we are off duty I will kick your tooth pick ass."said Samantha.
He didn't know what to say to that.

Brittany stood there as Palmer's mouth dropped "So your the new Arbiter. Congratulations."said Lord Hood
"Thank you sir."she said
"How did your father take it?"asked Lord Hood.
Carter snorted as well as she did and her father growled "He ah...didn't handle the new armor to well...and well he sorta kinda passed out."she said.
Lord Hood busted out laughing as Lasky shook his head smiling "At least it is safe to say his 'fatherly' instincts kicked in full force."said Hood.
She smiled "Brittany..."her father growled
"Settle down Master Chief."she and Hood said at once.
She walked up to the map table "So where is he and who do I have to thank?"she asked
"Director Leonard Church was turned in by Chairmen Sheppard."said Lord Hood.
She wanted to laugh she always knew Sheppard would betray the Director because of her "Never leave him out."she said
"Indeed, as for the location its the same place Madama is heading. Apparently Church and Jul have an alliance or have just founded one. One of which you Arbiter are their common enemy."said Lasky
"Oh joy."she said smiling looking at Carter.
Lord Hood's face got serious "They are meeting on Reach."said Hood.
Reach the planet where over 300 spartan IIIs lost their lives as well as NOBLE, save for Wigs and Jun. So that is where the bastard was hiding? And Jul' Madama was heading there to forge and alliance? Well this was going to be fun "Their greatest mistake was going there."she said
"To many bad memories."said Carter.
It was true Reach was nothing more than glass now, but there were some small areas that could have survived the glassing of the planet. She looked at Lord Hood " Why do I have the feeling that someone other than Shepard ratted him out."she said
Lord Hood smiled "You'll see when you get there. Now as for the concordance of which you will meet them."said Lord Hood.
She nodded and looked to her father and Carter "I guess we have our new mission and it isn't going to be easy."she said
"It wouldn't be a NOBLE mission if it was."said Carter.
She smirked then looked at Carter "Just don't go flying Pelicans into things like you did last time."she said.
Carter gave her a pointed stair "Like I said bad memories."said Carter
"The ship the UNSC Enterprise will get you to Reach. Good luck Arbiter you are going to need it."said Lord Hood
"I hope there is going to be plenty of supplies."she said
"Yes the Enterprise will have two teams going with you Crimson and Majestic. As well as the latest technology not available to you during the war."said Lord Hood.
After that they headed back down the lift to the others.

Jun was sitting when Brittany and the others returned "ALRIGHT LISTEN UP LADIES AND GERMS!"yelled Brittany
"Is rasing your voice truly necessary?"he asked
"Oh so you are awake good."she said.
He sat up "You have still a lot to learn dear."he said
"We have our orders in. Jul' Madama is forming an alliance with Director Leonard Church."Brittany said.
She had his attintion now "Really? And what makes him think he can win?"asked Emile
"More intell will be given when we reach our contacts. Look there I gave a hint to as where we are going."she said.
He looked at Brittany "Where are we going? If the hint was given?"asked Emile
"Remind me to dye his hair while he is sleeping and in big bold font on his forehead DUMB BLOND!"said Brittany
"More intell will be given when we..."Kat started to say then she stopped.
Her eyes widening "Reach? They are on Reach?" Kat asked.
He and Harmony froze on the spot "Thats where they are yes."she said
"Well that isn't good."said ISIS
"Why is that?"asked Jorge.
ISIS remained scilent "ISIS if you have anything you need to add do it now."said Brittany
"If they have found it, it would cause trouble. There is a cloning device on Reach not where the ice cap was but some where else. If Jul or Church get their hands on it and say I don't know...Armor belonging to certain NOBLE team members who died. They could clone them and they could cause a lot of trouble as Freelancers."said ISIS
"Two Emile's? Thats a nightmare."said Jorge.
"Or two Brittanys."said Emile.
He shivered at the thought "Brittany, if he makes a clone of you what do you think will happen?"he asked
"As ISIS put it TROUBLE."she said.
He nodded "When do we leave?"asked Jorge.
The big man was pissed that someone couldn't leave the dead at rest especially on his home planet of Reach.

Jun looked upset by the news when she first told him the crew of the Enterprise didn't like the fact that she was human waring Sangheili armor. She could hear the words of traitor being said by some others admired her bravery to bridge a gap. She kept walking til she came to hers and Jun's quarters. He laid in bed with a triplet in each arm and one on his chest. She entered and closed and locked the door his eyes opened and looked at her "Jun, are you alright?"she asked
"The doctor said I should be fine once we reach Reach. I still can't believe we are going back there."he said.
His eyes glazing over in pain and sorrow "I know, but it has to be done."she said.
Jun nodded his head "What if they get to the cloning device before we get there?"he asked
"I am sure one of me is enough."she replied.
Jun's blush said it all "JUN!"she said stunned
"What I'm just a GUY!"he said waking the triplets.
She rolled her eyes "Way to go daddy you woke up your kids."she said.
Then the smell hit her nostrils and she laughed "And scared the shit right out of them."she added.
She got two girls as Jun got Jun Jr, once the three had clean diapers on she looked at him "We should have had children sooner. Their diapers could have saved Reach."she said.
Jun snorted a laugh and he shook his head "You my love are funny, and here I thought Freelancers didn't have a sense of humor."he said.
She playfully slapped his arm "Jun darling behave or I will tell my mother and father about your little fantasy."she said playfully
"What can I say? I am only a guy."he said.
She shook her head as she laid Jun Jr in his crib "Jun, keep on and I will show you why you can only handle one of me."she said.
He laughed and shook his head as he put an arm around her waist "Brittany, I love you."he whispered in her ear.
She shivered it wouldn't belong before they reached, Reach.
