Hey guys! I hope you enjoy this chapter. I'm not really good at writing 'fighting'scenes but I hope you enjoy bc I tried to include a bunch of Leyna scenes.
Reyna's POV
"You circle around the corners. I'll stay here. Get ready to attack. If any of the two come to me, I'll defend and vice versa. If none of them come, in the next 10 minutes, we charge, get to their base and try to destroy it. I'll use my fire powers. You use whatever powers and weapons you have." Leo explained the plans to me.
"Good idea." I smirked. He blushed. It showed that he actually had a serious side to him and not just that sarcastic, funny one. I left and started circling around the corners. 5 minutes passed. No sight of them. Another 3 minutes. Silence. The next 2 minutes came. I ran to Percy and Annabeth's base. Leo wasn't there. I tried damaging the base. I felt a tingling sensation. As if someone was watching me. I turned around. Bad idea. Percy was standing behind me. I ran. He caught me.
"Nice try, Reyna." Percy said, he dragged me to a tree. Leo was there. He tied me up and ran to our base. For a Seaweed Brain, Percy is actually pretty smart. I thought to myself. Annabeth is a good influence for him.
"Leo?"
"Hm."
"I take that back, your idea sucked." He laughed sheepishly.
"Why thank you." He grinned.
"You're very welcome." I told him. I laughed. Not like those fake, forced laughs, I laughed a real laugh. Even with all those years with Jason, he never really made me laugh. An occasional smile maybe. But never a laugh.
Leo's POV
Her laugh was beautiful. It sounded so light and I'm glad I was the reason for it.
"Hey Reyna."
"Yeah?"
"You have a beautiful laugh."
"Thanks." She smiled. We started talking.
I never wanted it to end but I knew we would lose. I burned the rope with my fire powers. Then hers. We were in their territory. It was easy to destroy. Who knew that Annabeth could forget something as simple as this? Did it ever occur to her that we could escape? Probably not. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Game over. We walked back out of the main zone and into Camp Half- Blood. People started cheering. I was shocked.
"What happened? Did we win?" I asked.
"Nope. We did." I heard Annabeth say.
"Then why are people cheering?"
"Because our plan worked."
"What plan?"
"Operation Get Leo and Reyna together." Percy smirked. Reyna and I blushed.
"How did you know?"
"I'm ashamed Leo, how could you not see the cameras?" Annabeth laughed. I facepalmed.
"I'm so stupid. How did I not?"
"My point exactly. You've admitted it, you are stupid." Percy said. Everyone just laughed. I had an idea. Operation- Murder Percy and Annabeth. Perfect.
