DISCLAIMER:
NCIS: Los Angeles & characters from the show do not belong to me.
RATING: M
This is my first M rated story. I will try not to put too much detail into the M rated parts.
SUMMARY:
Kensi for the past few nights has been dreaming of...Marty Deeks. She had been waking up and having trouble going back to sleep...Everyone is beginning to notice!
CHAPTER 26: THIRTEEN YEARS IS A LONG TIME...
JASON A.K.A. D.J.'S P.O.V.
SEVERAL WEEKS LATER...
I couldn't believe it when they told me that my name was Donald Justin Deeks and I was their missing son.
A DNA test confirmed that Marty and Kensi Deeks were in fact my parents...then there was also my twin sister.
After spending the last few weeks in foster care while the legal stuff was worked out I was home with my real family.
I can't seem to call them mom and dad yet...so I started out by calling them Mr. and Mrs. Deeks. They told me though if I didn't want to call them mom and dad I could just call them Marty and Kensi.
Before I came to live with them they had cleared out a room they had been using for storage.
Dani showed me some pictures and when I asked her about the dog...she told me his name was Monty and that he had died a couple of years ago. She said that she heard that Marty had Monty before him and Kensi ever got together.
I'm still getting used to the idea that I'm a part of their family, but it's hard when you realize your whole life has been filled with lies.
You question who you really are and everything is so confusing.
It seems that Marty has a lot of nicknames for Kensi and one is similar to a name he has for Dani.
I found out that the woman who I thought was my mom worked in an office and stole a blank birth certificate; the she filled it out with the names of her and her husband as my parents.
She had been unable to have kids and her husband was an LAPD cop who had been fired a couple of weeks prior to me being kidnapped. He had hated Marty since he met him in the Academy.
I'm not sure why he hated Marty so much. Well the women who claimed to be my mom, her husband and his brother had all been in on the kidnapping.
I had just started school where I am now at the beginning of the year after moving to L.A. from Anaheim.
I had seen Dani at school all year and for some reason I felt like I knew her from somewhere, but I could never figure out why.
It also turns out that Dani and I have a little in common other than the fact that we're twins...though I look more like Marty.
Marty had taught Dani how to surf and the man that I thought of as my Uncle had worked as a lifeguard, but in his spare time he had taught me how to surf.
After I started surfing I was told that I was like a fish in the water.
In a way I'm happy to be away from where I had grown up and away from the getting the crap beat out of me almost every day for no reason at all.
It was nice to be in a house where I didn't have to fear for my life. Marty told me what his father had done to him.
The chances of us both going through the same thing growing up...weird, It's funny to watch Marty and Kensi pick on each other. When I mentioned this to Dani, she just rolled her eyes and told me what she had been told by Mr. Hanna, Callen and everyone who knew them before we were born.
Marty and Kensi left a few hours ago, so Callen decided to come over for a while. I have to admit that Mr. Hanna and Callen are pretty cool.
I'm getting to know everyone at NCIS. I also found out that Callie Beale's parents work at NCIS...I had heard her last name, but had not made the connection until a few days after I met them.
THE BEACH...
KENSI'S P.O.V.
D.J. was finally home and I was glad. It had been a long, hard road over the last thirteen years...but everything had finally worked out.
Marty and I were walking down the beach...I was surprised to realize where Marty was leading me. Then he stopped and turned to face me.
"Marty?" I asked as he smiled at me.
"Kensi Marie Blye-Deeks it was a little over thirteen years ago before the kids were born that I asked you to marry me. It's been a long road for us to get to where we are now and we almost didn't make it...
Our family was almost torn apart when D.J. was kidnapped and put back together when he came home. Now our family is complete again.
We are not only work partners, but also best friends, lovers and partners for life. So I want to ask you...
Kensi Marie Blye-Deeks, will you marry me...again?" Marty asked and I couldn't believe it. "I don't know Marty. The last time you proposed...you had it written out in rocks and seashells." I teased trying not to smile.
"If you want me to do that again I'll need a..." Marty began but I cut him off with a kiss just as the sun was setting and it was like de'ja' vu, because the same thing had happened the first time he had asked me to marry him.
MARTY'S P.O.V.
Only when we needed to breathe did we finally pull apart.
"I guess that's a...yes?" I asked with a grin and she punched me lightly in the shoulder.
"Of course it is. It will be a new start for us and our whole family." She told me and my arms went to her waist pulling her as close as I could.
"I love you Kensi." I told her. "I love you to Marty. Why don't we call Sam, Eric, Nell, Hetty and my mom so we can tell them about us getting married again?" Kensi suggested and I took her hand leading her back to the car.
DANI'S P.O.V.
I looked up from where I was sitting in the corner of the living room reading a book when the front door opened. Mom and dad walked in holding hands and smiling about something.
'Please don't let mom be pregnant.'
I was surprised to see not only mom and dad, but also...Aunt Nell, Uncle Eric, Callie, Uncle Sam, Hetty and even Grandma Julia.
"What's going on?" Uncle Callen asked. "I asked Fern to marry me again and she said yes." Dad announced. "It wasn't like the last time." Mom added.
"I don't think we want to know the full details of what happened the last time." Uncle Sam said getting a laugh from everyone.
I looked over at Callie and D.J. rolling my eyes, because mom and dad were acting like they were teenagers.
I had gotten used to this over the last few years, but it's still weird to see your parents still so much in lover after so many years.
NINE MONTHS LATER...
FEBUARY 6th OF THE NEXT YEAR...
THIRD PERSON'S P.O.V.
Marty stood once again waiting for Callen to walk Kensi down the aisle; Beside Marty stood Sam, Eric, D.J. and Nate.
Dani, Nell, Callie and Rose walked just ahead of Kensi down the aisle. It was hard to believe how many years it had been since this had last happened.
Kensi and Marty once again exchanged vows, before heading for the reception.
Then after that the two would leave on their honeymoon to Hawaii...the honeymoon they had not gotten the first time.
While they were gone Dani and D.J. would be staying with Eric, Nell and Callie.
THE RECEPTION...
Kensi and Marty made their way to the dance floor for their first dance.
"Forever Kensi Marie Blye-Deeks," Marty asked with a smile as his hand landed on her waist. "Forever Martin Andrew Deeks," Kensi said putting her arms around his neck and kissing him.
Marty pulled her as close to him as she could.
They were soon joined on the dance floor by...
Nell and Eric as well as D.J. and Callie, but Callen and Sam stood to the side just watching.
"It's good to see their family back together and happy again." Sam commented. "I know it's been a long time, now both kids are home and this entire family is ready to move on from the past." Callen agreed with a nod.
Then all that could be heard was the song...
The first time I laid my eyes on you I knew.
We'd spend this life side by side.
I still feel the same though you're so far away.
I swear that you'll always be mine.
Forever love
I promise you
Someday we'll be together
forever love
I won't give up
No matter what
I'll be waiting for you
forever love.
Minutes and hours and years may go by
But my heart knows nothing of time
so don't cry just keep me right there in your dreams
and hold onto these words of mine
Forever love
I promise you
Someday we'll be together
forever love
I won't give up
No matter what
I'll be waiting for you
forever love
Love is a road to our destiny
nothing can change what is meant to be
Forever love
I promise you
Someday we'll be together
forever love
I won't give up
No matter what
I'll be waiting for you
Forever love
The song seemed perfect for Kensi and Marty Deeks. When they looked to see who had put it in, they spotted...Hetty.
Now it seemed that Hetty was inching closer to the cake.
THE END
AUTHOR'S NOTE:
The song of 'Forever Love' sung by Reba McEntire does not belong to me; neither does the idea of the stolen and forged birth certificate.
The idea for the stolen birth certificate came from an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit that I saw.
