Chapter 2
My little babies
Kagome's POV
(Nine months later)
My stomach has gotten huge these past nine months, to be honest it looked like I had stuffed three watermelons under my shirt, I was that big. At times
it was hard to believe that I had a child growing inside of me, who by the way grew really fast. We were not too sure how long this pregnancy was going
to last with the father being a half-demon. But here we are month nine, the normal time frame for a human pregnancy. There is one thing I regret the
most, punishing my baby to a life of never fitting in by coming back to my era. I have not had a normal pregnancy most women do, for one when the baby
hits it tends to break or crack a rib or bruise my stomach badly. I have not had the chance to see if everything is alright with the baby or me in fear that
they will discover something they should not know about. My mama has been a huge help these past months. She has supported me in every way
possible.
Mama is going to be the one to deliver the baby when the time comes. I was out under the sacred tree on another one of my walks; I remember all of
those memories that are connected with this tree. All of my friends, whom I had considered family. All those memories we have created together, the sad,
happy, bad times. I try not to think about them much, it always brings up memories of him. I had just placed my hands on the tree when my baby hit
sending a wave of pain. This pain was not like any of the other times, I looked down to see my water had broken. "Mama!" I yelled towards the house. I
was doubling over in pain, one hand clutching my stomach while the other held onto the tree for support. Mama came outside took one look at me in my
hunched state and yelled into the house for Sota to get the living room ready for the birth.
Mama rushed to my side and said. "Kagome, you must walk towards the house, everything will be set up." I nodded and started walking; we made it half
way to the house before another contraction hit hard. A whimper escaped me along with tears. We had finally made it into the living room while grandpa
stood. They helped me onto the futon; Mama with grandpa's had to calm me down so mama would be able to check how far long I was. As another
contraction hit I had to bite back a scream, the pain was that bad. As mama checked me she informed me I was 10cm dilated. At the next contraction I
was to push as hard as I could, so that's what I did as the next contraction hit screaming at the top of my lungs. "One more push, Kagome. I can see the
head crowing." Mama told me. I pushed one final time which a scream soon filled the air around us, that scream did not belong to me but my baby. "It is a
girl." Mama said as she held her up for me to see. I was about to hold her when another pain in my stomach hit. Just then it hit me, I was that big
because I was pregnant with two babies. A boy was born next. My heart swelled knowing that I now had two beautiful babies.
Just when I thought everything was done mama told me she could see another head crowing. The next baby turned out to be another girl, another
surprise came as a fourth baby soon came which was my last boy. After the birthing was done I was cleaned up and was brought to see my babies. They
were all set in order from who was born first to last. I had a few names picked out. My first baby girl I knew what I was naming her from the moment I
saw her "Izayoi." She was beautiful with my black hair with cute black ears and her father's gold eyes. I looked over to my first boy, as soon as I saw him
I knew what I was going to name him. "Inuyasha." He looked just like his father with the silver/white hair and ears along with the gold eyes. My next
baby girl was just as beautiful as Izayoi. I had a few back up names thankfully they are coming in handy. "Kohana" She had the silver/white hair and ears
but with a black streak going for the tip to the end she had my brown eyes. My last baby boy had a special name that had come to me in a dream.
"Kovin" He had my black hair with black ears but they had strips of silver/white. The eyes are what captured you; they were a mix between my brown
ones and his father's gold ones. I looked around at my sleeping babies, my heart swelled that my babies were finlly here.
Inuyasha's POV
It has been nine months since I have last seen Kagome, around the time which Kagome should be having the pups. I regret the decision I made with all
of my heart, knowing that I will not see her again. I wander around the country side a lot in a way as a distraction from my feelings, I do return to
Kaede's village every now and then. I was on my way back to the village when I got this feeling deep down inside of me. It was Kagome, she was having
our pups.
A few months back I had noticed something very odd, I was able to feel what was going on with my pups, it's like i have a special connection with me.
With that connection I kept tabs on them, making sure that they were okay as well as Kagome. I raced back to the village and into the hut that belonged
to Sango and Miroku along with their own children. "Inuyasha, your back." Miroku said as i step through the make-shift door. "Welcome back Inuyasha."
Sango said as she held her newborn twin girls. "Kagome, she had the pups." I blurted out. I wanted to tell them in a good manner but some things just
get the better of you at times. Sango and Miroku know the truth as to why I sent Kagome away. Miroku and Sango glanced at each other and back at
me, they had that look on their faces. The one where they want to say something but are not to sure who should say it. "Spit it out will ya?" I barked at
them. Miroku spoke up, "Inuyasha, were gald for you. But... what are you going to do? Kagome sealed off the well, you can not even get to her?"
I have yet to tell them that I may have found a way for the well to be opened up, but in order for that to happen I need Kikyo. For some time now I have
wondered if I should talk to them about it I guess now is the day I tell them. "Well thats the thing. I may have found a way to open up the well." Both of
them had total look of surprise on their face. Then Miroku raised a eye brow and asked. "And how have you found a way to open up the well?" I paused
for a moment thinking carefully on how I should answer this question. "I happen to come across it on my travels." I guess I did hide the truth very well
when Sango blurted out. "Kikyo told you?" I sighed waiting for the lecture on how I should stay away from her but it never came. "Have... have you
asked her about it?" Sango's question shocked me, and then I realized that she missed her best friend. I nodded "There are a few things that she needs
to have in order to open up the well. Those items I have been collecting while I was away." Sango had a small smile on her face, which soon grew larger.
"How soon can she do it?" "I have been looking around for her now that I have collected all the items." I answered. My heart was almost happy at the
thought that I might get to see Kagome soon and our pups. To tell her that I love her and the truth behind I had to send her away. Soon this make-shift
family will be whole once again.
