Alright! We're nearly done! We can do this guys! We can finish this! Amelia just left to find her father if you recall.

Enjoy!

"He did WHAT?!"

Feli lowered his head in sadness and nodded to the shocked servants.

"Amelia's really leaving?" Peter asked tearfully before nuzzling against Tino.

"We were so close to being human again," Roderich said sadly.

Elizaveta shook her head, "After all this time, he's finally learned to love." She said.

"Well then that's it; that should break the spell!" Antonio protested but Francis shook his head.

"No, it's not enough; Amelia has to love Lovino in return." He said.

Everyone flinched as a loud roar of utter sadness and despair echoed throughout the castle; that was all they needed to realize that Amelia had left and poor Lovino had just watched her leave him…forever.

Amelia urged Minty as fast as she could; judging by how big the forest was, Arthur could be anywhere! She followed the path, ignoring the cold bite of late winter wind against her face as she looked around desperately for her father, "Dad!" she called. "Dad! Where are you?"

She was near the crossroads when something caught her eye. She stopped Minty and squinted at the thin snow covering the ground; they were footprints. Amelia immediately dismounted Minty and started following the tracks; Arthur must have decided to take a different route so he wouldn't run into the wolves. Amelia sighed; for a genius he was a real idiot.

Amelia ran after the tracks as fast as she could before the wind could blow them away, "Dad! Daddy!" she continued to call, her cloak billowing behind her in the wind. She suddenly skidded to a halt at the edge of a small ditch that led to a creek. Her eyes widened; a few inches away from the shore, his feet still in the water and covered by a thin sheet of snow, was Arthur.

"DAD!" Amelia all but screamed as she climbed down the ditch, leapt across the creek, and went to her father's side. He was deathly pale and soaking wet, he must have slipped down the ditch and landed in the water just barely able to pull himself out. Amelia brushed the snow off of him and checked his pulse; it was there, but as slow as a snail.

Amelia gently picked Arthur up and managed to get him onto her back, "Hold on Dad; we're going home." She said softly and traveled back the way she came. She reached Minty, who became quite frantic at Arthur's condition. Amelia laid Arthur across Minty's saddle before climbing up behind him and urging the horse onwards.

Minty walked as fast as she could without disturbing Arthur until they had safely arrived back home. Amelia had never been so happy to see her old house. She dismounted Minty, and with her remaining strength, she quickly carried Arthur into the house. She carried him upstairs and laid him in his bed just as her strength ran out.

She took a few deep breaths to get her energy back before working the damp clothes off her father. She took off his green cloak, and his shirt and pants and put his warm and dry white nightgown on before tucking him under the covers. Arthur began to shiver as the warmth was returned to his body and Amelia left to get a warm cloth. Little did she know that a familiar yellow bird was watching just outside the window. It gave a small chirp before flying off towards the town; his master was going to be pleased with the news.

Amelia stayed by her father's bed side all night long until the early morning rays of the sun woke her. She sat up and stretched, sore from lying halfway on Arthur's bed all night. Seeing that her father was still asleep, Amelia got up to make herself some breakfast. She figured out right away that her Dad hadn't been the happiest camper; there were black burn marks all over the kitchen causing Amelia to giggle. Her dad could do magic and create amazing inventions, but cooking never was kind to him.

As she cooked she couldn't help but remember the amazing food that Francis and Elizaveta made for her. She wondered what they were doing now that she was gone.

Amelia pushed the thoughts away, ate her breakfast, and went back up to check on Arthur. She stayed with him for many hours, talking to him and reading by his side as she waited. After she ate dinner, she went back up to check him one last time. Just as she entered the room, Arthur began to moan as his eyelids fluttered. Amelia rushed to his side and wiped his forehead with the warm cloth again.

Arthur's eyes cracked open as his senses reawakened. He remembered being cold and wet and thinking that he had finally reached the end of his life. But now he was warm and dry with someone hovering over him. A gentle and familiar voice stroked his ear drums.

"Hey, Are you awake?"

No…it couldn't be…

Arthur blinked a few times as he finally began to fully wake up and the figure above him began to take shape. He could make out golden hair and blue eyes, "Emily…?" he muttered.

The figure smiled as she came into full focus, "No Dad, it's me." She said.

Arthur's eyes widened as he took in his room and his supposed lost daughter sitting beside him, "Amelia?" he whispered. Amelia smiled and nodded; she had never been so happy to see her dad. Before she could even say a word, Arthur wrapped his arms around her tightly. Amelia hugged him back just as tightly as Arthur's green eyes leaked a few tears of joy, "My little girl…my little poppet…" he whispered, "I thought I'd lost you, I thought I'd never see you again."

Amelia smiled as she felt herself tear up as well, "I missed you," she whispered.

After a few more moments of silence, the two broke apart and Arthur cupped her face, "You're actually here," he said happily, "How on earth did you get out of there? How did you escape?"

Amelia shook her head, "I didn't escape, Lovino let me go." She explained.

Arthur looked confused, "Lovino…? You mean that horrible…thing has a name?" he exclaimed.

"He's not horrible anymore Dad, he's…changed." She said slowly before sadness graced her face. She just couldn't help but feel like she was missing something; why was her heart hurting so much now that she had brought up Lovino? She was snapped out of her thoughts when a pounding came from the door. Amelia got up, hurried downstairs and opened the door revealing a familiar Swiss man.

"Sheriff Vash," Amelia greeted, "Can I help you?" she asked.

"I've come for your father." Vash answered plainly.

Amelia frowned, "My father?" she asked.

Vash nodded, "I was informed by an anonymous source that Arthur Kirkland has been disrupting my town lately," he explained, "And that same source also witnessed him performing…black magic." Amelia visibly tensed and managed to hold in a gasp. She knew that her father's obsession with magic would come back to bite him one day. Vash looked to the sides uneasily, "I would prefer if you hurry; the people are growing…uneasy." He said before stepping to the sides.

Outside their home was a huge mob of people holding lit torches and pitchforks, but that wasn't what scared Amelia the most. In the middle of the mob was a wooden cart labeled 'Ivan's Mental Asylum'. The owner, Ivan, a tall and very scary Russian man stood by the opening of the cart, "Don't worry, we'll take good care of him, da?" he said with a smile that could freeze the sun with fear.

Amelia swallowed the chill that ran down her spine and stepped outside, "My father's not crazy!" she protested.

"Amelia, what's going on?" Arthur asked as he looked out the door.

Vash swiftly walked past Amelia and gripped Arthur's arm, "Arthur Kirkland, I hereby place you in the custody of Ivan's Mental Asylum until further notice." He said.

Arthur's eyes widened as Vash pinned his arms behind him and dragged him to the cart, "What's the meaning of this?! Release me this instant!"

Amelia ran towards Vash, "Please Sheriff, you can't do this!"

Vash sighed, "At this point Amelia, I don't have a choice." He said. This was the only way to calm the townspeople down and avoid the riot taking place. Vash could only hope a stay in the Asylum would bring everthing back to order. Amelia bit her lip when a familiar voice came from behind her, "Poor Amelia; completely helpless to save her father."

Amelia turned to see Gilbert, leaning against the house and shaking his head sadly. Amelia went up to him, "Gilbert, you know my Dad; please, can't you do something?" she pleaded. She hated herself for going as low as to ask Gilbert for help, but at this point, she was desperate. She had just gotten her father back and she wasn't going to lose him again.

Gilbert smiled seeing that his plan was working perfectly and shrugged, "I may be able to…persuade Vash and the lovely people here to lower the torches, if…" he trailed off.

Amelia frowned, "If what?" she asked slowly.

"If you marry me." Gilbert finished with a smirk.

Amelia's eyes widened in anger; she never knew Gilbert would go this far just to win her over! "What?" she yelled.

"One little word Amie, that's all it takes," Gilbert says dangerously, moving to wrap his arm around her. Amelia smacked his arm away but Gilbert grabbed her arm.

With pure anger and adrenaline driving her Amelia clenched her free fist tightly, "Here's my answer," she growled and with those words, her fist connected with Gilbert's cheek sending him to the ground. Amelia may love her father, but she still had her dignity dammit!

Gilbert rubbed his stinging cheek and glared at her; no one had ever dared to hit his awesome face like that! "Well then Amelia, you can say good-bye to your precious daddy!" he spat.

Amelia felt her anger turn into fear as her father was brought towards the cart. At the last second, an idea burst into her head. She sprinted inside and up to her room where her unpacked bag was sitting on her bed. She dug through it until she found the magic mirror that Lovino had given her. She ran back downstairs and burst out the door just as Arthur was about to be thrown into the cart, "WAIT!" she screamed, "I can prove my dad's not crazy!" Amelia looked at mirror, "Show me Lovino!" she yelled.

The mirror lit up brightly and Amelia faced it towards the crowd who gasped in horror as Lovino's roaring face was shown in the mirror. Vash and Ivan dropped Arthur in shock as the crowd talked frantically amongst themselves.

"Is it dangerous?" Someone asked.

Amelia descended into the crowd, "No he'd never hurt anybody!" she said quickly before taking a deep breath, "Look, I know he looks like a jerk but when you get down to it he's actually really nice and sweet." Amelia said as she stared into the mirror, "He's…my friend." She said with a longing smile as she remembered all the good times they had together in that castle.

Gilbert stared incredulously at her, "If I didn't know better, I'd say you have feelings for that monster." He said smugly as he reached for the mirror.

Amelia snatched the mirror away and held protectively against her chest, "He's not the monster Gilbert!" she yelled, "You are!"

Gilbert's red eyes became wide with shock at the venom in her words before melting into pure anger and vengeance, "She's as crazy as her dad!" he yelled snatching the mirror from her. "Do you not see this thing? It's a bloodthirsty monster he'll make off with the children in the night!" The crowd gasped in horror.

"No!" Amelia yelled realizing that bringing the mirror out was the stupidest mistake she ever made. She ran up to Gilbert reaching for the mirror but Gilbert shoved her away.

"I'm not going to sit around while this thing roams free; I say we kill the beast!" he yelled, raising the mirror like a sword. The crowd roared in agreement and Amelia realized that attention had drawn away from her and Arthur.

Amelia crawled over to her father and motioned for her to follow her. The two stayed low as they snuck away from the crowd until they were behind the house. Amelia went in through the backdoor and grabbed her cloak.

When she reemerged, Arthur looked bewildered, "Where are you going?" he asked.

"I've got to warn Lovino!" Amelia said firmly as she made to go.

Arthur grabbed her arm, "Amelia, its suicide!" he hissed.

Amelia didn't look at him as she tried to pull free, "I don't care, I have to help him!" she protested.

Arthur whirled her around and grasped her shoulders, "You'll never make it!" he argued, "There's only one way to that castle and there's no way you can fight a mob all by yourself!"

Amelia shook her head, "There's got to be another way!" she cried.

"Ve~ Amelia? Is that you?"

Amelia and Arthur froze at the small Italian voice. They turned to see a familiar brown wolf trotting towards them. Amelia nearly cried in relief, "Feli!" she cried as she wrapped her arms around the wolf who nuzzled her affectionately. "What are you doing here?" Amelia asked, pulling away.

Feli looked at her sadly, "I missed you, it's just not the same without you." He said. The wolf's ears perked up as he heard angry chants of 'Kill the beast! Kill the beast!' echo in the distance. "What's going on?" he asked uneasily.

Amelia shook her head, "There's no time to explain," She said, "Do you know another way to the castle?"

Feli frowned and nodded, "I know a way; why?" he asked.

"I'll tell you on the way; we have to hurry!" Amelia said urgently.

And shit has officially gotten real! I actually loved writing BAMF!Amelia for this part; Gilbert totally deserved that sock to the face! I also loved the reunion scene! Such fluff, very feels!

I made Feli come find her because I didn't trust Peter enough to make the journey all by himself. Plus, Feli would do whatever he could to make his brother happy, even if it meant traveling miles away to find the girl he loved. At least he doesn't have to convince her to come back.

Up next we have the epic battle scene before the ending so I guess that means three more chapters? SWEET! Let's get this sucker done!

Review please! (ur getting lazy again!)
