Chapter 6

Problems somewhat solved

Inuyasha's POV

I was so happy to finally see Kagome. When she fainted it gave my heart quite a scare. I gathered her in my arms and ran into her house. Once inside I started to yell for help. Sota

and Kagome's mom came running, and boy were they shocked. Kagome's mom took one look at Kagome's passed out state in my arms, she rushed to my side. "Bring her upstairs."

She told me. I carried Kagome upstairs and into her bedroom. It looked almost like I remember it. The only change was that there was a holding thing beside Kagome's bed. I gently

placed Kagome on the bed, Sota and Kagome's mom right behind me. I looked over to them. Both faces look as if they had a million questions to ask.

I heard a noise off to the side, a noise that was coming from that holding thing. I looked over to it, curiosity getting the better of me. I made my way over to it and looked inside. My

eyes widened, my breathing caught. There they were my pups. Four pups at that, two beautiful girls and two strong looking boys. "Inuyasha, what are you doing here?" Sota asked.

His mom looked relived that someone had finally asked the first question to break the dreaded silence. I turned around to face them. "I came back for Kagome." I told them.

Kagome's mom nodded her head towards the door and said. "Let's talk downstairs." I looked over at Kagome one more time before I followed Sota out the door. We needed up in

the kitchen, not talking, the atmosphere tense. Kagome's mom was busying herself by making tea. Sota was trying and failing at not staring at me. Once Kagome's mom sat down,

she got straight to the question asking. "Why are you here?" I had to resist rolling my eyes. "I came back for Kagome." I told them again. "Why? After you told her you wanted to be

with that dead love of yours?" Sota almost yelled. "It's not what it seems." I shoot back. Sota rolled his eyes. "You're still the same Inuyasha, stringing my sister alone. This is you

went and got her pregnant and skipped out. You disgust me." Sota's eyes showed the anger he was feeling.

My temper flared. "It was for her safety that I sent her away." I had to take a few deep breaths to calm myself down. I started my explanation. "I meant it when I asked her to stay

with me. When she went home, Kikyo came to visit me. She told me Kagome was going to die if she continued to stay in the feudal era." Kagome's mom cut in. "What do you mean?

How was she going to die?" I looked up into her eyes. "The sacred Jewel Kagome guarded was tainted even being purified. Kikyo said that the Jewel was most likely to take

Kagome's life to become tainted once again." Everyone was quite after I finished. "So you sent her away out of protection?" Sota asked. I nodded my head. "You really do love her,

don't you?" Kagome's mom asked. "Yeah I do. I would do anything to make things right with her."

It was quite for a little while, until a baby's crying was heard. Kagome's mom got up and made her way to the stairs turned around to face me. "I'll go check on them…Inuyasha;

would you like to meet your babies?" She asked. My face was growing a smile. I nodded. "Sota take Inuyasha into the living room. I'll bring them down." Kagome's mom turned and

walked up the stairs. Sota graded my sleeve and pulled me into the living room. He had me sit down on the couch. "Remember, you must be gentle with them. They can break easily,

even if they aren't fully human." Sota said.

He walked to the stairs I guess to go help his mom. I can't believe this. I was finally meeting my family. My pup's, my heart was filled with joy. Kagome's mom came down the stairs

holding two babies. "Inuyasha, I would like to introduce you to Izayoi and Inuyasha." Kagome's mom placed them on the floor in front of me. Tears were starting to pool in my eyes.

Kagome named them after my mom, and me. Sota came down with the other two. "Those two are Kohana and Kovin." Sota placed them in front of me alone with the other two. I

looked up to Sota and Kagome's mom. "She's been taking care of four babies? All by herself?" I asked. Kagome's mom nodded. "For the most part she has been she said she wanted

to do it herself, although from time to time we help her out." I looked back to my babies.

They were wonderful, my heart swelled. I finally get to be with my children, we can finally be a whole family, along with Sango's and Miroku's family. We can all be together once

more. Each baby had both Kagome and I in them. Izayoi had Kagome's hair with black ears and my eyes. Inuyasha looked just like me, all the way down to the t. Kohana had my hair

color and ears but with a black streak going from the tip to the end, she had Kagome's brown eyes. Kovin had Kagome's black hair and ears but with a strip of white. His eyes, they

just captured you, they were a mix between my gold ones and Kagome's brown ones.

All of them were beautiful in their own way. I was brought out of my haze when was scream was heard. It was Kagome's scream. I shot up to my feet ready to race up stairs to her;

I stopped when a hand was placed on my shoulder. It was Kagome's mom, "You stay here. I'll go deal with her… Just be ready Inuyasha. She doesn't know the real reason as to

why you sent her away, she won't be easy to handle." Kagome's mom warned me then. I nodded and sat back down on the couch. I admired our pups while I listened in on what

was going on upstairs. Soon Kagome was making her way down the stairs. Sota fled as soon as he heard that his sister was up, smart boy I thought. Wish I could avoid what was

coming. I have to do this, I need to make things right.

Kagome was wandering around the house, I guess looking for her babies. I heard her walk into the kitchen then slowly make her way into the living room. I tensed up and slowly

turned around, when I knew she was close. I took a deep breath and said. "Hello Kagome." She looked puzzled for a moment, but she stood tall and tried to be strong. She finally

talked only to say. "Inuyasha, get the hell away from my babies, leave and never return." I sighed I knew this was coming. So I got up and went to stand in front of her. "Kagome

please let me explain." I looked her in the eye, which were filled with tears. "Why, after what you did to me to us?" Kagome's mom came down the stairs. "Kagome, you need to hear

Inuyasha out."

Kagome spun around to face her mom. "How could you? You're taking this side on this? After what he did to us?" You're my mama you're supposed to take my side." Kagome was at

this point shouting. Out of all the time I spent with Kagome I have never seen her this angry, it actually frightened me. I wanted to run but I had to be strong and stay to make

things right. "Kagome, the reason I gave you wasn't true." I tried to direct her attention back to me. She slowly turned around to face me. "What?" She asked. "Kikyo came by to see

me one day." Kagome's face hardened at the mention of Kikyo. "She told me you were in danger. That the Sacred Jewel was going to kill you after being tainted." I told her.

I held eye contact with her, trying to get a read on her emotions. "What game are you playing? How stupid do you take me for?" She shouted at me. She stepped closer to me. I had

no idea what she was going to do, so I put my guard up a little. "I'm not playing any games with you, it's the truth." Kagome's gaze was almost like she was trying to burn me.

"Kagome, I'm telling you the truth… I love you." Kagome's eyes went wide, her hand covering her mouth. Everything went silent for a while. "I want to forgive you Inuyasha, but I

can't. Not after this." Kagome told me. I felt my heart drop. "Why?" I asked her. "You lied to me." I cut in there. "It was to protect you." Kagome sighed. "That doesn't help very much.

If you truly loved me, you would have told me the truth. We would have figured out a solution."

One of the pups' started to cry. Kagome walked over to them, she knelled down beside them and lifted Kovin into her arms. She looked up to me. "You're welcome to stay here and

be with your pups. But nothing will ever change between us." Kagome looked down to out pups, she looked happy. I guess she's only been this happy with our pups. They haven't

betrayed her like I have. "Inuyasha?" I snapped out of my haze to look at Kagome. I walked over to stand beside her, I squatted to her level. "I have to go back." She told me. "Back

where?" I asked her. "To your time. There is some stuff I must do." Kagome's gaze was far away, as if she was remembering something. "What do you have to do?" I asked. "I'll tell

you when were all together again."
