Chapter 7

Secrets revealed

Kagome's POV

Well things sure have taken a drastic turn. First, was that I have to go back to the feudal era to stop Kikyo. Second, Inuyasha is now in my time. How did he even get through the

well? I sealed it off. I was off in la la land again. Thinking back to our encounter, how what he said to me was a lie. That he loved me, deep down I had start believing he was telling

me the truth, but then there was a part of me saying not to trust him. What a headache it was trying to figure this out. Then I had another thing to add to the list. I knew I had to

start talking to him again though, after what Midoriko had forewarned me about the whole Kikyo going evil thing. Every time I see him my heart does this flip, I get butterflies in my

stomach.

I just don't know anymore, don't know what to feel, what to do. My mind is always following, never stopping. Now I have to worry about going back to the feudal era. With four

babies, how on earth am I going to stop Kikyo if I have my babies to worry about? "Kagome?" Someone's voice snapped me out of my trip to la la land. I turned around to see

Inuyasha was standing in the doorway with Kovin in his arms. "He wanted his mommy." Inuyasha said as he brought Kovin over to me. I sighed; part of me was wishing Kovin would

attach to Inuyasha like he did with me. But nope, he was still a mamma's boy. Inuyasha passed Kovin into my arms. Inuyasha was actually very gentle with them. It surprised me, for

someone who can kill with his claws.

"What are the other three doing?" I asked him. "They are downstairs with Souta, I asked him to watch them while I brought Kovin up here to you." I nodded my head. I looked down

to Kovin who was starting to fall asleep, so I gently rocked him until I knew he was fully asleep. I placed him in the crib, and got back to work to packing before I went off into my

own world. Once I made sure everything was packed for the babies I got stuff for myself not much though. "Kagome, why are you coming back?" Inuyasha asked. I had forgotten he

was still in my room. I faced him, "I'll tell you when were all together again." I told him.

He had that look in his eye, the one where if he stared long enough, he could break the wall and tell him everything he wants to know. I gave him my stare, as to drop the subject,

so that's what he did. "How did you come up with the names?" I turned around to get back to packing. "When I found out I was pregnant I knew the names immediately, Izayoi if it

was a girl and Inuyasha if it was a boy. I knew both those names would be very special to you." I told him, thinking back to that day when I learned I was going to be a single mom.

Even though I picked those names for him, I still decided to keep those names. "Where did you get the other two names?"

I paused for a moment, remembering where they came from. "Kohana was a name I have liked for a long time now; I believe I heard it when I was on our travel. Kovin's name, I did

not know until the night before I had them. The name came to me in a dream." Everything was silent after that. "Kagome, can you please come down here for a moment?" Mama

yelled up. I looked over to Inuyasha. "Stay with Kovin, I'll be right back." Once downstairs, I looked for mama, she was in the kitchen. "Did you need something mama?" I asked her.

She turned around to look at me. "Hojo is here." I placed a hand to my head. How many times have I told him that I did not want to go out with him? That we had no future

together? Does that boy ever listen?

I walked into the living room and put on a smile. "Hi Hojo." Hojo was on the couch, when he heard me he stood up and walked over to me. "Hello, Kagome." "Why are you here?" I

asked him. "I was hearing some weird thing going around school. I had to come see if it were true." I was confused. I had not been to school in over a year; I was homeschooled for

the most part. "What did you hear?" I asked him. "That you were pregnant." When he said that he looked pained, as if he was begging for me to tell him it was not true. I had no

idea what to say to Hojo, I knew I shouldn't lie but it seemed to be my only option. "It was my cousin who had the baby." Hojo looked relieved. "Where is your cousin now then?" He

asked. "She um died giving birth." Great now I'm lying and making it worse, but it will stop him from asking more questions. "I'm sorry Kagome." Hojo said as he placed a hand on my

arm. "Thank you Hojo." I made my voice small, almost like I was close to tears. "I'm sorry Hojo but you have caught me at a bad time…" I trailed off, hoping he will know where I am

going with this. "Oh of course, I'll leave then." Hojo made his way to the door. He was half out the door when he turned around. "Kagome, I was wondering if you wanted to go on a

date with me this Saturday." I knew he was going to do this. "I'm sorry Hojo, but I'm actually going away Saturday." I told him. "Maybe next time, goodbye Kagome." With that Hojo

left.

I closed the door and sighed. I cannot believe this. Why can't that boy get it through his head that I am not interested? Like how many times have I blown him off? I made my way

back upstairs to finish packing our bags. Souta must have brought up the babies when Hojo came. Inuyasha was still in my room, he was playing with Kohana and baby Inuyasha.

"Look who it is little ones its mommy." Inuyasha said to her in baby talk. He stood up with both of them and walked over to me. Kohana started giggling at Inuyasha. I smiled,

thinking that we were kind of a family. It left nice. "Where is Izayoi?" I asked. "She is sleeping with Kovin. These two weren't tired so I was just playing with them." Inuyasha replied.

I nodded and walked over to my bed and finished up the packing. "Are you almost ready?" Inuyasha asked from the floor, where he was playing with the two. "Yeah I am." I told

him.

I turned to face him. "I wanted to feed the kids first then get them ready then we can leave." I walked over to the crib and gently woke up Kovin and Izayoi. Once all were fed and

dress we made our way to the well. Each family member holding something. It felt weird being inside the well house. I've been avoiding it for the past year and a bit. I had Inuyasha

go first with all the supplies. Then come back to help me with the babies. Once he was gone I turned to face my family. I hugged each one, "I'll come back as soon as I can." I told

him. Mama had tears in her eyes. "Take care Kagome, come back safe along with my grandbabies." I nodded my head my own tears coming down. Inuyasha had just come back

over, he held out his hand for me.

Once all six of us were on the edge of the well, I looked over to Inuyasha, who had mini Inuyasha and Izayoi in his arms, where I had Kohana and Kovin. I quickly looked back to my

family before we jumped into the well. It was weird going through the well. The blue light engulf us and transported us to the feudal era. Half way there Kovin started to cry, I tried

my best to comfort him, but it was kind of hard. So once we landed on the other side I got to work calming him down. I sung him his lullaby which always seemed to help him calm

down. Once we were all out of the well I breathed in the fresh air. It felt right, being here again. I felt like this was home. "Ready?" Inuyasha asked. I nodded and we walked the

path I have walked a million times to Kaede's village.

We got a lot of stares when we came to the village. I was walking towards Kaede's hut when Inuyasha stopped me. "Were going to Sango and Miroku's hut." He informed me; I

followed him to the outside of the village where a hut was located. Inuyasha paused a moment before he yelled inside. "Miroku, Sango you better be decent because we're coming

in. "I heard some crashing going on inside then I heard Miroku. "You can come in." Inuyasha parted the hanging door for me. I walked inside and was almost knocked over. "Kagome,

your back." Both Sango and Shippo were the ones who almost knocked me over.

I wanted to hug them but it was hard with two babies in my arms. I started to cry, I was back, back with my family. "I've missed you guys." I told them. "Welcome back Lady

Kagome." Miroku said as he hugged me when Sango and Shippo finally let go. "I see you have new addition to the group." I nodded and went to sit down. Inuyasha came over and

sat down beside me. I stared introductions. "I have in my arms Kovin and Kohana. Inuyasha had Izayoi and Inuyasha." I told them. "Kagome, they are so beautiful." Sango told me.

She got up and hugged me then walked to the back of the hut and pulled something out of the holding thing. It was her babies. "Kagome, I would like you to meet Amaya and Mika."

I looked at the twin girls; they looked so much like both of their parents. "They're beautiful Sango." I told her. Inuyasha finally spoke up. "Guys Kagome came back for a reason." He

told them. They all looked over to me. "What is the reason Lady Kagome?" Miroku asked. I was about to tell them when there was an explosion outside of the hut.
