Chapter 8

Kidnapped

Kagome's POV

Inuyasha was up in a flash and started barking orders. "Sango, Kagome stay here with the babies. Shippo, Kirara protect the girls and babies! Miroku you with me." Inuyasha

handed Izayoi and Inuyasha to me, and my arms were full. Miroku and Inuyasha ran outside to deal with the problem. "Kagome, follow me. We must go to the back and hide." Sango

told me as she got up. Shippo came over to help me with the babies. "Be careful with them." I told him. "I know mama; I have had practice with Sango's babies." I nodded.

I had missed so much. Shippo was growing up, and into a fine young man at that. We all hurried into the back room, it looked like a safe house. Well safe hut, it was stocked with

many supplies. "You can place the babies in here Kagome." Sango said to me. I followed suit and placed the two I had into the basket and got the other two from Shippo and placed

them in. "Sango, an idea what is going on?" I asked her.

It was a while before she answered back. "No, we have not had any problems with demon for a little while now." I looked ahead, I had a decision to make, and I had to make it fast.

"Sango, I'm going to go look. Stay here." I told her as I started to head out. She grabbed a hold of my arm. "I can't let you go Kagome, You might be in danger." I tried to get my arm

free from her grasp, but man was her grip tight. "I'll be safe, I'll see what's going on then I'll come back." I told her. She looked into my eyes, trying to see if I was telling the truth. I

had every intention of coming back; I had my babies to protect. She nodded her head then let go of my arm. "One look then come back." She told me in the tone mother's use when

they want their children to listen to them. I nodded then walked back into the main room.

I slithered along the wall, crouched down. To make sure I was out of anyone sights. I came to the small window and peered out. I could make out the shapes of Inuyasha and

Miroku, all around them was a cloud of dust. Inuyasha had his sword drawn, while Miroku stood ready to protect his back. A bit away from Inuyasha and Miroku was a shape, by the

looks of it; it was the shape of a woman. I had to squint to make out who it was. It was Kikyo, I froze remembering the dream. They don't know about it yet, they don't know that

she now has the taint of an evil heart. "Kikyo what do you want?" I head Inuyasha ask. "I've come to take my revenge." Kikyo said her voice was just the same as my dream, ice

cold. "What it the meaning of this Lady Kikyo?" Miroku asked. Kikyo walked closer to them, Inuyasha tensed up. "Inuyasha had made a mistake, by picking that worthless copy of

mine. I have come to take revenge for the mistake he has made." Kikyo said as she walked closer.

Inuyasha spoke up. "I chose Kagome. The reason being was because she was a much better person to me, than you ever were Kikyo." Inuyasha's voice was filled with an emotion,

the emotion of love. It made my heart flutter. Kikyo's eyes winded then slanted. It looked like they were becoming red. The wind picked up around them, sending Kikyo's hair all

around. "You will pay Inuyasha." Kikyo screamed. Her hands started to grow black, and then it hit me. She had become a dark priestess. She had lost her away in the evil. How was I

going to stop her? The last time we encountered a dark priestess; she put me under a spell and had me almost kill Inuyasha. We barely defeated her. Then a thought came to me. I

looked around the hut, looking for any type of weapon. There in the corner was a bow and a sheath of arrows. I hurried over to them then snuck out of the door.

I masked my scent and aura from Inuyasha and Kikyo. I need to get the advantage over her if I am to get his shot where it is needed to strike. I climbed up onto the roof of the

house, and let me tell you. It was not easy; having four babies sure takes its toll on your body. I sent a message to my babies that I will come back to them. I will protect them, or I

will die trying. Once I was up on the roof, I got into a position I knew would work for me. I took in a deep breath and focused on the target in front of me. I called to my miko powers,

to help me. To guide my arrow to the target, as well as a little help seeing as I have not shout an arrow in over a year.

I looked upon the field Inuyasha, Miroku, and Kikyo were in. Inuyasha and Miroku were attacking Kikyo; by the looks of it they were not having any lock getting anywhere close to

her. I waited a little bit; making sure Kikyo would get into a good position before I fired my arrow. A few moments later she was in aim. I noticed by bow into the arrow and

positioned it. I sent all my spiritual powers into the bow and let it fly. As soon as I let go Inuyasha jumped in front of Kikyo. My eyes winded. I shouted the one thing I knew he had

no chose to but to obey this command. "SIT." I shouted. Inuyasha forced mid air then plummeted to the ground. The arrow barely missed him. I watched as the arrow lodged itself

into Kikyo's stomach.

Her scream was soon all I could hear. Then came a hoard of demons, they surrounded Kikyo. She absorbed them into her body, closing the arrow's wound. It then dawned on me,

she had become like Naraku. Oh great, killing her was going to be harder than I thought. I was so deep in thought I had not noticed Kikyo had located me and was just a few inches

in front of me. I looked around, trying to find a way to escape. It looked like Kikyo was in control of this situation. She had demons surrounding me. She was then on top of the roof.

She grabbed my hair and pulled me up to look her in the face. "You bitch; you will pay for what you have done." I looked into her eyes; they were as cold as her voice.

I looked for any sign of the Kikyo I once knew, but I was not able to find any sight of her. She was long gone. I did not want to end her life if there was a chance the old Kikyo could

be saved, but it looked as if I will have to follow through on the original plan. A scream was heard, from inside the hut. An evil smile grew on Kikyo's face. Then the roof of the hut

collapsed. I fell to the earth hard, the impact winding me. My head must have hit something because was I ever dizzy. Kikyo soon appeared beside me.

I looked around and saw we were in the safe room. Sango, Shippo and Kirara were all caught under the roof. I looked toward the babies; they all seemed to be fine. Kikyo walked

over to the crib and looked inside. "Inuyasha's pups I presume. Let's see how he does when he is not able to protect them." Kikyo then picked up Kovin. I tried to scream but the

dizziness was soon too much for me, the black water was soon dragging me under, the last thing I saw my Kikyo walking away with Kovin.
