Chapter 11
It beings
Inuyasha's POV
I stood on top of the hill side, watching the sun rise from above the peak of the mountain. I came to this spot a lot while Kagome was gone. The winds were blowing all around me,
the earth seemed uneasy. I mind drifted off to last night, having Kagome wrapped in my arms. It made my temper rise whenever I think of what could happen to Kovin. All I wanted
was for Kagome, Izayoi, mini Inuyasha, Kohana, Kovin and I to be a family. Have you forgotten that Kagome has no forgiven you yet? My mind shot back. My ears dropped. Oh yeah,
I forgot about that. I will get her back though, we will be together.
"Inuyasha, where are you?" I heard Kagome yelling. I looked one quick look back to the sun then set off to Kagome. I found her at the edge of the woods, not far from my hill. A
quick thought came to me; I jumped up into the nearest tree as close to Kagome, making little noise in the process. I waited up in the tree until Kagome was close enough, once she
was in the spot I wanted her in, I jumped down. As I jumped down I scream "BOO." and circled my arms around Kagome's waist. She started screaming and thrashing trying to get
away from my grasp. Kagome started to yell my name, crying out for help. I could not hold the laughter in anymore. I left go of Kagome and just laughed my head off.
Kagome turned to face me face beat red. The expression she had made me laugh all the harder. By the time I was done laughing I was on the ground holding my sides. "That's not
funny Inuyasha." Kagome said as she crossed her arms over her chest. I stood up to face her. "Of course it was." I told her. She was giving me her glare, the one that makes you
feel sorry for doing such a thing. I would not have it. "Come on Kagome, you needed a little pick-me-up." I said as I grabbed onto her waist and pulled her closer. Kagome just
slapped my hands away. "Yeah, well I have better things to worry about. One being that a psychotic bitch has my son and two that he is one of the two keys into bringing hell on the
human race." Kagome said man was she ever angry. Her forehead was all crunched up when she said that. Making her look all the more stressed.
Then it dawned on me, she said her son. "Last time I checked Kovin is OUR son not just yours." I shot back. "Don't you think that I've been worrying about this either? You think that
I don't care? I care about Kovin and the other three just as much as you do. How can you think so little of me?" I watched as Kagome's features fell. She placed her hands over her
eyes then the smell of salt hit my nose. "I'm sorry Inuyasha; I just can't take this anymore." I couldn't help it although I was a tad bit angry with her; I went over to her and hugged
her. "It's okay Kagome." I told her. I felt for her, the pain she must be feeling. "Come on; let's grab the other three pups and bring them home." I told her as I grabbed her hand and
started to walk back towards the hut. Kagome kept a strong grip on my hand the whole way back. It felt nice to have her beside me. We came to the hut and I let go of Kagome's
hand and held the bamboo door open for her.
Once we were inside Kaede along with Shippo were both playing with the three pups. Kagome went to her to greet our pups. "Are you going to be leaving soon?" Shippo asked.
"Yeah, were coming back as soon as we dropped off the pups to Kagome's mom." I told Shippo. "I'm sure going to miss them. I liked being a big brother." Shippo said. Kagome
walked over to Shippo and picked him up. She hugged him close to her. "You're doing such a great job Shippo; they will come back once we rescue Kovin." Kagome told Shippo. I
walked over to Kaede and grabbed Inuyasha and Kohana. "We better get going." I told Kagome. Kagome placed Shippo down and grabbed Izayoi. "We'll see you guys in a little
while." Kagome told Kaede and Shippo. Shippo waved as we left. Along out way to the well we meet up with Sango and Miroku. "Leaving so soon?" Miroku asked. Kagome nodded.
"Were just going to drop these three off to my mom then come back so we can start to look for Kovin." Kagome informed them. "We'll be waiting." Sango said. "What about your
twins?" Kagome asked. Sango smiled. "Kohaku is going to watch them while were away." Sango told Kagome. Kagome started to shake her head. "No I can't let you do that. Both of
you should stay her with your children. Inuyasha and I will go find Kovin." Sango gave Kagome the look. "Were coming Kagome, if you like it or not. Kikyo has messed with your family
meaning she has messed with mine. We're going to help you get Kovin back." Sango said. Kagome opened her mouth to speak then closed it again. She nodded her head, gave a
quick hug to Sango and Miroku then started towards the well. I nodded towards to two then hurried after Kagome. It was quite on our way to the well. I could tell Kagome had a lot
on her mind. Once we arrived at the well I helped Kagome onto the ledge then got up myself. We jumped in together. The normal blue light engulfed us.
We soon touched down on Kagome's side of the well. Getting out of the well was a challenge but we made it. We walked up the stairs and out of the well house. I quickly scanned
the yard for Kagome's mom, not finding her outside I figured she would be inside. We over to the house and went inside. "Mama, I'm home." Kagome yelled once we were inside.
"I'm in the kitchen dear." Kagome's mom yelled back. We walked into the kitchen, as always Kagome's mom was busying her. She turned around to look at us. "Welcome back." She
said to us. She came over and gave both Kagome and I a hug. She then looked to her grandchildren. "And how are my four beautiful grand…" She trailed off, finally noticing we only
had three pups. She looked up to Kagome and asked. "Where's Kovin?" I looked over to Kagome, who again had tears in her eyes. "Why don't we sit down, we'll then explain
everything." I piped in.
Kagome walked into the living room and placed Izayoi down on the baby bed. She motioned for me to placed mini Inu and Kohana down as well. We walked back to the kitchen
where Kagome's mom had a pot of tea waiting. I could tell Kagome was having a hard time trying to find the words to tell her mom of what happened as she kept opening and
closing her mouth. I decided to talk. "I'm sure Kagome has told you of Kikyo? The women who I loved back some 50 years ago." Kagome's mom nodded and asked. "What does she
have to do with Kovin though?" I continued. "She was the one who stole Kovin." Kagome's mom eyes winded. "She stole him?" she asked as she looked back and forth between us.
All Kagome could do was nod. Kagome's mom placed her hand over her mouth and heart and started to cry. "She stole him for two reasons. One was that she wanted to get back at
me for picking Kagome over her. Two is that Kovin holds within him a sacred object that Kikyo wants to get a hold of." Why does she want this object?" I sighed figuring I might as
well just tell her about the prophecy. So that's what I did.
At the end, Kagome's mom looked distraught. "This can't happen. Not to my baby and grandbaby." She kept saying. "Well will get Kovin back, that's a reason we came to tell you and
that we can't take the other three pups with us being that this will be a dangerous mission." I told her. She just nodded. "Of course I'll watch them." She looked over to me. "Promise
you'll rescue Kovin?" I just nodded. Once we were doing informing Kagome's mom we went to say goodbye to the pups. It was hard for Kagome to leave them. Once we were done
with the pups we said goodbye to Kagome's mom. I grabbed Kagome's hand and we walked back to the well. We jumped back in and landed on the other side. We were meet by
Sango, Miroku, Kirara and Shippo on the other side. The gang was back together. "Ready to get your son back?" Miroku asked. I nodded. Sango handed Kagome her bow and
arrows, and off we went to start out journey to rescue Kovin.
