Chapter 12

Controlled

Kagome's POV

I had forgotten how much walking was required in this era. My feet were throbbing by the time sunset rolled around. We made up a camp in a forest clearing; we all got to working

doing something. I smiled remembering all the times we've done this before. Inuyasha left a little while ago, saying he needed to check something. Inuyasha has kept a close eye on

me for the past day. Every time I would ask he would just brush me off. I ended up just letting it go. Honestly not a lot has happened since we left. Kaede gave us a point of

direction we should head, saying that we most likely find Kikyo there. I was bored out of my mind. My thoughts always went to my babies, how I missed them so much. I also kept

thinking about the prophecy Sango told me about. What was this sacred object that Saki protected? Could it be used for good? Just instead of evil? "KAGOME." I heard someone

scream my name. I looked around the field, searching for the owner of the voice. I noticed Shippo running towards me. I stood up and held out my arms for him. He bounced right in.

"What's wrong Shippo?" Shippo kept shivering. He must be sacred out of his mind. I sat back down on the ground and rocked him back and forth, to try to sooth him. I always did

this is with babies. It seemed to help a lot. "Shippo, what's the matter?" I asked again. Shippo looked up to me he had tears in his eyes. "He's changed…" Shippo said as he hic-

upped. "Who's changed?" I asked. I had this tight feeling in my stomach. Telling me that whatever this was it was not going to be good. "Inuyasha, he changed into a full demon. I

was collecting wood with Kirara and noticed Inuyasha off in the distance. I called out his name and when he turned around me had transformed in a full demon." My eyes winded and

it felt like my heart stopped. I got up from the ground and spun around, scanning the field for Sango and Miroku. "Where did the others go?" I wondered out loud. "They said that

were going to the village." Shippo told me. How did I miss them telling me that? Oh great, I thought. I'm going to have to deal with Inuyasha alone.

I quickly grabbed my bow and arrows and made a mad dash from the trail leading to the village. Shippo held onto the front of my shirt, with my arm secured around his waist. I could

see the outskirts of the village just up ahead when an object jumped down in front of me. I slammed on the break almost falling into the object. I quickly regained my balance and

took a few steps back. Inuyasha was in front of me and indeed in his true demon form. I took a few steps back from Inuyasha. The crimson in his eyes looked as if they were

glowing. "Kagome why do you run from me?" He asked. His voice seemed normal, but the face that held to the voice was far from the man I fell in love with. I held Shippo closer,

trying to shield him away. I kept walking backward just to try to get some distance between us, in case he decided to do something. I hadn't noticed where I was walking until I

ended up on my butt. I had fallen over a huge rock.

Inuyasha laughed. "You are still the same Kagome." "Inuyasha, what happened to you?" I had to ask. He just shrugged. "Not sure, but all I know now is that I need to draw your

blood from your body." My eyes winded. It the dawned on me, Kikyo has him under her control. But how on earth is she controlling him? I pushed my miko senses out, trying to see if

I can find Kikyo's aura. Sadly I got no lock. I climbed to my feet quickly. "Inuyasha, you're under Kikyo's control. She's the enemy. She's trying to hurt Kovin, our baby boy, you son." I

tried to get through to him. Inuyasha laughed again. I said the one thing I knew he always had to obey. "Sit." The beads started to grow, they began to pull Inuyasha down, but he

was fighting it. He managed to stay up. That was my queue to take off. I ran in the path leading to the village. I didn't get far when a hand grabbed the back of my shirt. It pulled me

into the air. I let go of Shippo, letting him fall to the ground. "Find the others Hurry." I screamed at him. Shippo hesitated from a moment before running towards the village.

I attempted to get free from Inuyasha's grasp, but no luck. Inuyasha set me down on the ground and spun me around to face him. He smirked bearing his fangs. The look upon his

face made me feel like one of those poor prey, locked in their praetors gaze, Feeling as if there is no way out that this is the end. "Come on." Inuyasha said as he grabbed tightly

onto my arm. I tried to get my arm free from his grasp, only having him hold on tighter. "Let go of me." I kept screaming, thrashing trying again to get away. "Stop or I'm going to

through you over my shoulder." I glared at him. "You wouldn't dare." "Watch me." Inuyasha then proceed to pick me up and threw me over his shoulder. I felt like a rag doll. The

feeling wasn't very nice. I tried hitting his chest to see if he would set me down. Then I tried something I haven't yet. I played the waterworks card. "Inuyasha please. We have to

save Kovin from Kikyo. You have to snap out of her control." Inuyasha suddenly came to a halt. I looked to his eyes; I could see white bits flickering in them.

The hanyo I loved was fighting to gain control of his body. Inuyasha dropped me, and then fell to his knees. Hands on this head, a fight between the full demon and half demon were

fighting to gain control within the body of Inuyasha. I was hesitant before I ran to Inuyasha. Trying to help him win his body back. "Inuyasha, listen to my voice. Follow my voice. I

know you can make it back to me." I told him. Inuyasha looked up, his eyes half red and half white. "Kag…Kagome…run." I was able to make out the hanyo Inuyasha before the

demon took control of his body again. I turned and ran. I ran for my life, pumping my legs, making them go as fast as they could, fighting to breath in oxygen. I just made it up a hill

when I spotted Miroku and Sango running towards me. "Kagome, get down." Sango yelled at me. I barly got down in time when Sango's Hiraikotsu went whizzing past my head.

I looked around and saw that Hiraikotsu was flung at Inuyasha, sending him away from me. Miroku and Sango ran up the hill and stopped in a defensive position in front of me.

"Leave her alone." Miroku spat at Inuyasha. He just laughed. "I always get what I want. Kikyo wants Kagome; I'm here to make sure she is brought to her." Inuyasha said. Sango

opened her mouth to say something when a cloud of smoke soon filled the hilltop. The human's were coughing trying to breath in any oxygen. Once the smoke cleared, I drew in a

deep breath. I scanned the clearing, a gasp coming out of me when I laid eyes on what was in front of Inuyasha. Kikyo.

She was standing in front of Inuyasha with Kovin in her arms. I jumped to my feet. "Kovin." I screamed. Kikyo looked up to me, smiling. "Don't wake up my son." She hissed. That felt

like a bunch in the face. "Excuse me? Kovin is MY son Not yours you evil bitch." I shrieked. Kovin looked over to me, recognition in his eyes. He knew I was his mommy, and not Kikyo.

Kovin started to cry. "Hush my little one." Kikyo said as she looked down to Kovin. Anger began to build within me. "Give me back my son, and release Inuyasha from your

compulsion." I hissed. "Why would I do that? The fun is only beginning Kagome. Why ruin it now?" Kikyo said. I heard within her voice that she meant it. That this is the beginning of

something. The smoke began to cover the clearing. I ran towards Kikyo attempting to get my baby back. Inuyasha stepped in front of Kikyo arms flexed claws outright.

He clashed at my chest when I got close; I barely dodged the first swipe, but felt his claws pierce my left arm. I fell to the ground holding my arm. "Kovin" I yelled out my sons name

as they faded away. "Kagome, you hurt." Sango said as she rushed over to my side. I brushed her off. "It doesn't matter. We need to get going. We have to rescue Kovin and

Inuyasha." I said as I got to my feet. This is personal now; first she stole of my baby boy, now the man I love. Man is she ever going to pay.
