ACK. SO. I STARTED THIS. AND IT GOT DELETED WHEN I WENT OUT OF MY ROOM TO TIE MY HAIR IN PIGTAILS.
ANGRY CAPSLOCKS ENSUES.
My previous authors note was basically just saying that I meant to do the summary too and that I'm a terrible liar and that I need this tiny crappy chapter because I need to get back COMPLETELY into where I'm going with this, etc. Thanks for reading this note, I have a hard time convincing myself to do so on stories so it's much appreciated.
Mauveine- A rather spiffing shade of purple.
Much later on, after traversing through numerous stores Tuesday caught the bus back to her Aunt's house. On arriving, no lights were on in the house. Minus the sound of the door closing racketing through the house, all was silent. Auntie must have gone to work.
Tuesday hummed a soft tune as she dropped the many shopping bags she had acquired on her trip up in the room assigned to her and hopped back downstairs. She started to the kitchen, knowing that if Auntie had gone to work she wouldn't be back until an unreasonable time in the morning. Ruffling through the cupboards she was more than pleased to see that there was both more and many more different varieties of food then at Elsie's.
In the end she decided that with her limited cooking knowledge she would just settle to a simple stir fry. Thirty minutes later, with three burns and one cut finger she settled down to dinner. Soon enough she was practically stuffed and threw her plate quickly into the dish washer before trudging upstairs, planning to get a good nights sleep for her first day at school the next day.
After only a few minutes of staring at the deep mauveine walls, which were remarkably similar to her hair, contemplating the chance she had to start anew, she was asleep.
LET'S DO THE TIME WARP AGAIN! I actually use music to help me divulge in whatever I'm writing so just so y'know that wasn't just a CLEVERLY INTRICATED PUN. (I don't care what you say! You simply cannot tame my inner dad!)
Morning came around quickly.
Tuesday was out of bed and beginning to get ready within minutes of awakening.
She decided that since she was up fairly early, with an hour left to go until she had to be at school, she should have plenty of time to mull around.
She sifted through all of the shopping bags she had left on the bedroom floor the night before, pulling out something that resembled enough of an outfit to wear without much thought.
She pulled on the outfit lazily; a black top with a yellow Marvel logo printed across it that she had got from the first store, yellow jeans and a white comic strip hoodie.
As a last thought, she quickly swooped down to grab the fox hat from the first bag and pull it on. Can't hurt, can it? She thought to herself.
She pranced through the house and into the kitchen, where Auntie was bustling around, loud country music playing in the background.
Auntie turned with a wide smile at the sound of Tuesday entering. Spotted. Tuesday almost sighed to herself. She had been trying to avoid being in Auntie's vision for too long at any point for two reasons; One, she didn't want to talk to her about their new arrangements and two, her Auntie was a little on the nutty side. Not that Tuesday particularly minded, not being entirely out of the clouds herself, but she could only handle it for so long.
"Here, I haven't got much in breakfast-wise, but take this" she shoved a note in Tuesday's hand "and you can buy something from the cafe down near the school. Get your shoes on quickly and I'll drop you on my way to work." her tone was rushed as she skipped out of the front door, ushering Tuesday along.
She blinked for a second before pulling on the green boots she had arrived in, grabbing a 101 dalmatian-themed bag she had left at Auntie's on a previous visit and hurried to the car.
The car journey was short to the cafe, and the school was visible just a road or so away. She knew that as long as she remembered where to go she would be able to walk from there on.
She sprung out of the car, waving to her aunt who grinned in response and waved back enthusiastically with a call of "Have a good day!"
Nothing much happened in the cafe. She had a quick breakfast of porridge and honey and sat for a while biding her time and drinking espresso as she stared out of the window.
Soon enough she sighed, knowing that she had to leave for school unless she wanted to be late.
She pulled a face to herself, grabbing her bag from the floor and loping out of the cafe and down the street to the school.
I GAVE UP ON CHECKING GRAMMAR AND STUFF ON THIS. I'M WATCHING THE AVENGERS AND WHO WOULDN'T DO THE SAME? MY APOLOGIES.
Crap, I know, I know. I plan to actually more emotion, speech, life form, etc... in the next chapter. This is the ultimate filler. But hey, I actually remembered the existence of this story after months. I think you guys know what I mean by comic strip hoodie but in case you don't; just look it up. It's pretty hard to miss, at least on google images. :)
