Story #8: Son Of A Switch
AN: Here is yet another cliché the characters might get involved in :P

"Wow, man that was some adventure we had back there... huh guys?" Allen sighed in relief as he stepped back into the Black Order building after finishing another one of his missions with his friends Lavi and Lenalee Lee... oh and Kanda was with them too.
"Yeah, well, it was a lot tougher than I expected, or hoped anyways." Lenalee replied.
"Well it wouldn't have been so difficult had Lavi NOT try to hog the fucking spotlight!" Kanda complained. "We could have blown the whole thing had we not interfere!"
"Hey, I told YU guys I could handle it, but YU wouldn't even give me any chances." Lavi tried to protest. "Besides, it would have been quicker if YU had just let me—"
"KNOCK IT OFF WITH THE PUNS!"
"Allen-chan, save me!"
"HE WON'T SAVE YOU NOW!"
"Will you guys just shut up!?" Lenalee got in between the two and interrupted before it got any worse (thankfully). "It's been a long day for all of us and we shouldn't take it out on each other, let's just go and get some rest..."
"Fine, whatever." Kanda turned away and walked off with his Mugen. "Shit fuckers..." He muttered out of his breath.
"Eh, he's just in a bad mood, I'm sure he'll get over it soon enough." Lavi smiled.
"No I won't!"
Lavi leaned over to Allen and whispered into his ear. "Ne Allen-kun, I'll bet that he wouldn't get as pissed if YU did it..."
"Yeah, I would think so, mainly because I would do a better job at fighting solo than you... no offense." Allen replied nicely.
"Um... that wasn't what I meant by that."
"What do you mean?"
"Aww, you're no fun."
"Hey Al, why is it you didn't try to prevent Kanda and Lavi from getting into a bigger fight?" Lenalee asked curiously. "Are you used to the chaos that you had to endure?"
"Maybe he enjoys watching us bicker like an old couple..." Lavi teased.
"Nah, I actually knew you'd fix it up soon before it gets any worse, so I waited for that." Allen said to Lee, who was staring at him in silence.
"Eh, I like my idea better." Lavi said, crossing his arms.
They then spot Lenalee's brother Komui walking out with some type of box in his disposal. He noticed the others and squealed. "Hey guys, you came back?" He rushed other and hugged his little sister. "Oh sis, I missed you so much!"
"Uh, yeah, I missed you too Komui." She replied awkwardly at the response of the unusual bear hug. When they separate [at last], she asks her onii-san was he had in his hands.
"Oh this? This is my latest invention, I was going to go check and see if you came back before showing this to you. Ya wanna see it?"
"Sure." Allen said.
"Sure." Lavi said.
"Eh, why not?" Lenalee said.
"Alright, and heeeere it is!" Komui took out a piece of bubblegum and showed it to them. "It's candy that lasts forever, no matter how much you chew on it it'll always have flavor! Wanna try some?"
"Oh boy, it's been a while since I last had some candy~" Lavi pondered. While thinking about it Allen takes the piece of candy from right under his nose and starts to chew on it. "Hey, I wanted some of that!"
"Oh, sorry, but you never said that." He replied. "Mm, vanilla."
"Aw, I like vanilla..."
"Wait, Komui what's inside that box?" Lenalee pointed at the box.
"Ah, this, is my other latest invention. I'm glad you brought it up, I was afraid no one would point that out and I would have brought this box over for nothing..." Komui replied.
"You mean you took it just to shove it in our throats?"
"No, no, just wanted to make sure you guys were prepared to check it out. This is a pretty big and snazzy invention and I'd like to show you when the time was... right I guess."
"Big brother, no offense but you're not making any sense."
"I'm sorry, I'm a little nervous about this. Why don't you guys come and check it out in my lab so I can explain this all in further detail?"
"Eh, what do you guys think?" Lenalee glanced at Lavi and Allen for an answer.
"I'm in." The red-head replied. "What about you Allen?"
"I can't talk right now, mouth full..."
"He's in too."
"Eh, sure, why not, let's just go..." Lenalee sighed.

Komui leads the three back into his lab where he could show them his newest invention that was inside the box (I think). Komui places a box onto the table and slowly opens it up for the others to see. "Alright, gentlemen, and sis, I present to you... my invention!" He picks it up and shows the device to them, it was a bunch of regular sized helmets with colored circle balls on the sides and a rainbow antenna on top of them. "So, what do you think?"
"Whoa, that looks so cool!" Lavi runs over and takes a closer look at the helmets. "What the hell are these supposed to do anyway?"
"It'll be very useful for battle, you place them on the helmet and place it on someone else and you can steal or swap each others battle techniques and move sets to become more powerful... or weaker depending on who you use it on."
"Um, ok, so how is this going to helpful in battle? It'd be difficult to get those on our opponents' heads." Lenalee crossed her arms in disappointment.
"Uh, still needs some tweaking I know, it sounds kind of stupid, ain't it?" Komui scratched the back of his head in embarrassment.
"Yeah, I'm not gonna lie, it does sound retarded once blue bell puts it into words..." Lavi added.
"What did you just call her?"
"NOTHING I SAID NOTHING PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T HURT ME!"
"Anyways, I'm going to need a test subject to try this on, ya know, for safe measures. Would anybody like to try?"
"I'll give it a go my man!" Lavi takes a helmet and places it on his head.
"Alright, now I just need another one for the swapping..."
"Oh, I know who we could do..." Lavi snickered. "I'll be right back..." He takes another helmet and runs off with it. He later comes back and orders Komui to hit the switch that activates the helmets.
"Huh? But who did you give away that one helmet too?"
"You'll see soon enough! Oh and Allen and Lenalee should try them on too~!"
"Are you forcing her to take part in this?"
"I-if she wants to that is, just for testing remember?"
Lenalee and Allen just shrug and take the helmets to put on their heads. Komui presses the button on his control panel thing and the helmets start to spark electricity.
The control box then exploded and the power goes into a black out. The gang starts freaking out as they are now trapped into the dark.
Komui took out a candle and lit it. He walks over to a giant switch and flips it on, which turns the power back on. Everybody sighed in relief. "So, is everybody okay?" Komui asked once all is said and done.
"Yeah, I think so." Lavi replied.
"So, how are you guys? Do you feel... any different?"
"Eh, not really, I don't feel anymore... powerful surprisingly?" Lavi turns to see his body standing right next to him. "Whoa, hey cool another replica of me!"
"Lavi, what are you talking about— wha- why are you in my body?" A feminine voice came out of the body.
"Your body? What are you talking abo—" Lavi looked down and saw he was in an entirely different body. His skin was lighter, his clothes were darker, and he had bigger- legs, he had longer legs. "Whoa, how did I get into Lenalee's body!?" He acted surprised and somewhat turned on.
"I don't know but this is so embarrassing being in a guy's body, I want to get out of it fast!" Lenalee whined.
"W-well, apparently the machine didn't do what I was trying to do after all. It seems likely that it switched your guys' bodies instead of your attributes..."
"Well it could have been worse... although I kind of wanted to be in Kanda's body and mess around with it a little bit. Or Allen's..." Lavi said, reaching for the upper part of the stomach to see if he was dreaming or not.
"Hey, don't do that!" Lenalee smacks his hands away.
"Ah, ah, ah, you don't want to damage your own body now, do you?" Lavi tempted. Lenalee snarls at him, grabs a brick, and hovers it above Lavi's body. "I'LL BE GOOD, I'LL BE GOOD!"
"Hey, what's up with Allen's body, is he asleep?" Komui sees it dozing.
He wakes up and sees everyone else staring at him. "Huh, what are you guys doing here?" He asked who for some reason has a deeper voice. "How did I get in here? And where is my Mugen!?"
"Seriously... that's what you're upset about?" Lavi sweat dropped. "Don't you realize that you're in Allen's body?"
"WHAT? How did I- Lavi..."
"He's currently in my body, in case you're wondering." Lenalee pointed out.
"Oh, so you're in one too? Man do I feel bad for you..."
"Hey wait a minute..." The others overhears Allen as he discovers that he is in a different kind of body and inspects on it that he appears to be in. "Dark hair, shady clothes, and not to mention creepy eyes...? Oh no, I'm ugly!"
"WHAT WAS THAT!?"
"Hey guys, I've turned into a dude with longer hair and look just like Kanda!" Allen stormed in exclaiming.
"YU are in his body Allen-kun~" Lavi replied.
"Ah. I see."
"Get me out of here Komui."
"Hang on you guys, I'll try to get you guys out of those bodies just hang on, and I'll try to fix up the machine which apparently broke down from the big shock for some reason!" Komui replied. "You'll just have to wait. Make sure you don't go outside with the bodies mixed like that, ok?"
"Eh, I'm getting hungry though." Kanda looks down disappointedly. "Ah fuck this I'm going to go get something to eat..." He stands up and walks out of the room.
"Hey wait, didn't you hear what Komui said? You should stay put until he's finished!" Allen chases after the numbnut.
"Huh, YU seem to be a little—"
"STOP IT WITH DA PUNS!" Kanda retorted.
"...So as I was saying..." Lavi continued, but they already left before he could finish it up. "...oh. Guess no one wants to hear what I have to say?"
"Nope, now be quiet." Lenalee and Komui replied.

Kanda then tries to wander around the Black Order and find the kitchen so he can get something to eat, all while roaming around in Allen's body. He eventually finds it and sees the chef there named Jerry standing there cooking up some random meals.
Jerry soon notices him and gives him [or Allen's body] a flirty wink. "Oh, hey there cutie, you want something to eat? You must be hungry..."
"Yeah I'm fucking hungry, you got anything to eat?" Kanda asked.
"Oh my, Allen-chan, have you gotten through puberty? Your voice has gotten pretty deep today... I like it."
"I know, don't ask, and that's creepy. Can you make me some soba or something?"
"Ah, I see you're copying Kandy's diet, yes? Or are you trying something new for a change? That's very noble of you..."
"I AM— uh, yeah sure, can you make the soba or what?"
'Ohh, and he's changing his mood swings too! Either he's not in a good mood or he's trying to out sexy his friends... I think it's the latter.'
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Ah right, sorry, I'll get right on it..." Jerry walks off and prepares the soba for Kanda.
"Hmm, this is sort of strange, if it was a plot convenience, Moyashi would have already came here by now."
"Kanda, there you are!" Allen [in Kanda's body] bursts through the kitchen doors exclaiming.
"Oh, speak of the... well... talk about perfect timing."
"Eh? Never mind, why are you here? You need to get back so we can finish up on the machines!"
"To get some food god damn it, didn't I already tell you that!?"
"Yeah but you didn't follow Komui's orders, why you gotta be so picky BaKanda?"
"Don't call me that—"
"Alright I've got the soba ready for you Allen, come and get— oh hi Kanda." Jeff comes back to bring the soba he just made to Kanda and notices Allen in his [Kanda's] body.
"Hi there Jeff, how ya doing?"
"Oh my, Kanda why is your voice different? Did someone or something kick you in the balls again?"
"Again?"
"Don't want to talk about it..." Kanda muttered. "Wasn't my fault; it was so stupid anyway."
"Oh, well let's get your soba and then head on back, ok?" Allen suggested more calmly.
"What is it with you and going back there? Quit telling me what to do, I'll go when I freaking feel like it!" Kanda retorted. "...Why do I taste blueberries?"
"Oh, you now taste the gum I had in my mouth earlier today?" 'So it changes flavors as time goes on... how did he not notice it sooner though? Does he not know what vanilla tastes like? Why am I referencing taste so much?'
"Ah god that's sick, I'm going to spit it out now—"
"No wait don't, its everlasting and it's really delicious! Not to mention that it was mine to begin with!"
"Okay now I'm definitely getting this out!" Just as he was about to take it out... "Huh, this gum is changing flavors..."
"Um, really, what's it changing into?"
"Mm, mm, oh. my. god. ITS SOBA FLAVORED CANDY! YEEEEEEAAAAH!"
"O_O"
"So, I take it you don't want your soba now that you have some already in your mouth?" Jerry asked saddened.
"Ah hell no, I want some of that soba, I want that soba to go more my soba that's in my mouth and then I'll have double the soba! SOBAAAAAA—" Whack.
Allen knocks him out cold with his Mugen and a rice cake... and then eats a good chunk of it. "Mm, tasty."
"Uh, why did you knock him out with cake? And where did you even get that?" Jeff asked.
"I dunno, found it, and I guess I'm... so awesome that I can know pull stuff out of nowhere. Bye-bye!" He takes the body and drags it away.
"I really don't know what to say on that whatsoever... except poor cutie Allen, I do hope he gets better..."

"You sure you don't want me to enlighten you Leelee?" Lavi asked his blue-haired companion while they were still waiting on Allen and Kanda to come back.
"Don't call me that, and yes I'm sure about that." She retorted. "Jeez, and will you stop trying to grope my body already? It's really uncomfortable, how would you like it if I touched you all o- that sounds real sick and wrong."
"One, I wasn't groping, I was just itchy. Two, I wouldn't really care all that much actually. And three, yes it is sick the way you interpreted that statement."
"Don't make my brother kill you."
"You started it though..." He muttered. Komui glanced aside while he was still fixing the machine. "I'm sorry." Komui turns away.
"Ugh, so Komui how's the machine going? Is it done yet?" Lenalee sighed impatiently.
"Um, almost, I think I'm almost done..." Komui replied as he continues to work on fixing the machine to get back their bodies. "Ah, it seems that I've finally done it!"
"Finally, now all we need is Allen to bring back—"
"Kanda is here and so am I... here to bring him back..." Allen announces as he brings Kanda back unconscious.
"Oh, speaking of which..."
"Yo man, what took you so long?" Lavi 'welcomed' them back.
"Er, kind of creepy seeing you in Lenalee's body talk like that if you ask me... no offense." Allen nervously chuckles.
"Eh, no problem."
"Ah, just in time too, I've finally got this thing working, and now we can get you back to your original bodies!" Komui exclaimed.
"Great, hit us up then Komui!" Allen responds.
They put on the helmets [Allen gets it on Kanda because... ya know] and Komui hits the switch. The helmets glow with electricity once more and the souls start moving to their own proper bodies at long last.
Once the machine breaks again, Komui turns to the others and notices their eyes are still closed and wonders if they are ok. "Um, are you guys alright?" He asked nervously.
Allen slowly opens his eyes and checks his palms. He touches his hands and face and feels the red scar on his face. "Ah, I'm me again!" He cried.
Lavi and Lenalee wake up too and look through a reflection and sigh in relief as they saw themselves in the same bodies. "Sweet, we're back to normal." Lavi cheered.
"Great, so that must Kanda is in his body too..." Lenalee added. She spotted him sleeping on the floor. "Yep, he sure is."
"Well, then I guess that means everything is back to normal..." Allen smiled at the thought. "Mm, rice ball."
"Soba... ah!?" Kanda woke up abruptly and stood up dusting himself off. "Where the fuck am I? And what happened to the soba gum in my mouth?"
"Uh, you're back in your original body now Kanda, aren't you glad?"
"Yeah, I guess, but what about—"
"I have it my mouth again, right back where it belongs!"
"Aw... hey Komui, do you have anymore of that gum?"
"How did you know about that?" Komui asked. "And I don't even have anymore of that to be perfectly honest with you, sorry."
"Aw damn it, I'm going back to get that soba in the kitchen, and you better not stop me this time Moyashi!" Kanda said.
"Aw don't worry BaKanda," Allen replied with a chuckle, "I wouldn't dream of it... not this time anyways."
AN: Everybody but Kanda laughs, he just leaves them there laughing and standing like imbeciles... and then everyone stopped laughing, and left; Komui went back to work. And then they go about their unusual lives I guess. And that's it.
