~Lizy~

Lizy took a bite of her steak. "This is really good Ryou. Where did you learn how to cook?"

Ryou wiped his mouth. "My father taught me. Mine are nothing compared to his though."

"That doesn't change the fact that these are delicious!" She took her last bite and sat back in her chair. Ryou had gotten home about fifteen minutes after her and Bakura's round-off in the Millennium Ring. That had left her just enough time to skim through the rest of the house, with the exception of his room; she wouldn't dare go back in there with the Ring and a fired-up Bakura.

"You're too kind. Thank you nonetheless." He rose from his seat and took his and her empty plates and placed them in the sink. "Would you like desert?"

Lizy actually had to stop and think. She was full, but then again ice-cream sounded so good at the moment.

"Yeah, that would be lovely."

"Alright then. Just let me go ahead and get it." He went over to the freezer and began to prepare their bowls. "Oh, and you're chocolate is in that cabinet over there." His finger pointed to one of the numerous cabinets.

"Sweet." She paused and grinned childishly, "No pun intended."

They both giggled at the cheesy joke. Ryou finished scooping the chocolate and vanilla ice-cream and placed a bowl in front of Lizy.

"Eat up!" He said joyously.

She didn't waste a minute digging into the treat. Needless to say, Lizy had a strong sweet tooth. Chocolate was her favorite, but she was picky. If it was too sweet she couldn't handle it, and if it was too plain she didn't like it. Her mood was also a factor, so as you can guess getting sweets isn't always easy.

Ryou chuckled. "Did you not have enough steak?"

"No, I just love sweets." She smiled.

"Ah, I see. I have a sweet tooth myself."

"Really?"

"Yeah, but I try to refrain from eating too much sugar." He sighed and took a bite.

She frowned. "Do you get hyper?"

"Just a little." He laughed, indicating that it was probably 'more than a little'.

She laughed with him. "Wow, that would be fun to see."

"Maybe I'll let you see tomorrow." He glanced under the table. "So how is your leg?"

"It feels pretty good…for now." She rolled her eyes and smiled.

"That's good. After desert I'll change your bandages again."

Lizy nodded and finished her ice-cream. Ryou followed shortly after and he once again placed the dishes in the sink. They made their way to the couch and the boy got his medical supplies and got to work.

"So how does it look?" She asked when he had clipped the white strips away. The cut looked a lot better than it had that morning.

"I'm actually really surprised. It's healing much faster than normal."

"Guess I'm just lucky." She replied awkwardly, wondering if a certain spirit was behind it.

"Yeah, must be." He started to wrap it, "How bad does it hurt when you walk?"

"Not that much. Only if I put strain on it."

"That's normal. At this rate, you should be healed in no time." He cheered than stood up, her leg now re-wrapped.

She bent it a couple times. "Thanks Ryou."

"Your welcome!" He smiled and put his stuff away.

Lizy yawned. "Oh man, I'm tired. I think Imma hit the hay."

"Alright then, see you in the morning."

"Seeya." Lizy rose and walked to her bedroom. She changed into some pajamas then lied down. Instead of analyzing over the day's events like she had planned, her mind had drifted off to a deep sleep.

Falling. She was falling and she couldn't stop. Her screams filled the chasm around her, echoing off the surface. It was so vivid that she actually felt like this was her end; spiraling into eternal darkness. She closed her eyes and waited for the impact. It never came.

Lizy shot up from her bed, gasping and covered in a cold sweat. It took a couple seconds for reality to set in. "It was just a dream…" she assured herself. Relief flowed through her and she felt safe. She laid her head back on her pillow and tried to fall back to sleep.

"You handled that better than expected."

She opened her eyes and surveyed the room. Little-to-no surprise, Bakura walked out of the shadowed corner. "Go away."

He ignored her. "You should have seen yourself though. I'm surprised you didn't fall off the bed with all that thrashing."

"I'm surprised you're still talking."

"I wonder what that could've meant though. Falling with no end? What inner fear could that represent?"

Lizy glared at him. "I think it's pretty sad that I'm not even surprised you were behind it."

Bakura smirked. "No, that just means that you're getting better." He threw something at her. "Get dressed and meet me outside."

The clothing hit Lizy in the face. By the time she pulled them off her head he was gone. "The fuck is that supposed to mean?"

No response, not that she really expected one. With a look at the clock she saw it was 2:15 A.M. She sighed and got up then started to undress. He had thrown a pair of jeans, shirt and jacket at her; all of which were from her new closet.

"Geez, sure, just waltz into my room and give me a nightmare and while I'm scared for my life just pick me out some clothes for a presumably fucked up scheme then wake me up and tell me to get dressed then poof! Vanish! Bastard." She mumbled, still half asleep and reasonably cranky.

Once she was dressed she looked in the mirror. To her surprise, the outfit was pretty damn good. "Yeah Bakura, I don't think all of Ryou's fashion knowledge comes from him." She chuckled when she imagined Bakura dressed as a fashion designer.

Reluctantly Lizy left her room and went outside. As soon as she opened the door she was welcomed by a cold gust. She shivered and zipped up the jacket, then walked out the door and shut it. Bakura was leaning against the house.

"This better be good." She grumbled, walking up to him.

He laughed. "Or what? You'll thrash me to death?"

She cocked an eyebrow. "Don't test me."

"Wow, I'm so scared." Bakura mocked.

"Glad you are because I'm not." She smirked, "Mr. Ballerina."

Bakura noticeably cringed, remembering his humiliation at her hands in the Millennium Ring. He looked ticked for a second but regained his cool. "Yes, enjoy your ignorance while you have it."

"Don't worry, I plan on it." Lizy smiled. There was no way he could take back the upper hand. He would have to work very hard to intimidate her after last time. Seeing your enemy doing the chicken dance tends to have that effect.

He glared at her then turned and started walking. "Follow me."

For once she stayed put. "Why should I?"

Stopping he reached into the pocket of his black trench coat and pulled out the keys, then jingled them. "Because you don't have a way back in otherwise."

"Fine…" She rolled her eyes and started to follow him.

Ryou's house was in the less populated part of town. It was quiet and the houses were well spaced apart. The full moon lit the sky and gave extra light for the two teens. To Lizy, it could have been really romantic, but she knew the chances of that happening. Even though she couldn't enjoy the fleeting romantic mood, what was right in front on her was enough.

Moonlight worked its magic as it made Bakura's white hair glow in an eerie way that Lizy just loved. The white light did the same thing to his body, making his pale skin give an unnatural glow. All of the blackness surrounding them appeared to be at his command. The elements of the night filled in and revealed everything that had been missing, showing his true colors. The shadows were his domain…she was in his realm now.

Lizy didn't even care anymore that she was in potential danger. This was what had been missing, the element of darkness that played a big role in her fangirl obsession. Until now he was generally in daylight, which just dulled him out. The moonlight was what added that spark of power to his character. Him now having that spark might just change the game.

"Where are we going?" She demanded, trying to keep her voice strong.

"Oh, you'll see." Was all he replied.

"Tell me."

He once again ignored her. She gave up and for the next while let herself enjoy the eye-candy.

After some time, the surroundings changed. They looked to be in the city now, but only everything looked gloomy. She thought she had been here before but the memory was foggy. A bad feeling swept over her urging to get closer to Bakura for her own safety. Nevertheless, her pride came first so as to not seem scared, she kept her distance.

They came up to a dry, old fountain and Bakura stopped then turned to her.

"So why did you follow me?"

"Um, duh, I can't get back into the house without you."

"What makes you want to return to that exact house?" He riddled.

Lizy was a little confused. "I'm injured and Ryou offered me to stay."

"But where is the house of your own?"

"I don't know…I think I have amnesia." She lied sheepishly. Once again, there was no guarantee that this was her world. Saying you live in a place that doesn't exist doesn't look that good.

He stared her down. "You're lying."

"I'm telling the truth." She kept her voice calm, careful not to give any signs of her lying.

"That is a lie. I know there is something that is off about you." His eyes never left her. "What are you hiding?"

'Dammit Bakura, stop being smart!' She thought. "I'm not hiding anything."

"Yes you are. I have never met someone who could this easily stand up to me before." The teen tensed up. "Especially someone who could that quickly take control inside of the Millennium Ring."

"I wasn't lying when I said that I'm not like other girls." She defended. 'Yes you are Lizy. Or else you wouldn't notice how hot he looks angry in the moonlight!'

"Oh no, that isn't what I'm talking about. Yes, you can resist me better than most girls, but I mean as a person. You seem to have a stronger mind and defense against me, and more importantly the Ring. That isn't normal."

Lizy began to rack her brain for a clever lie. "Well I told you that I have physic powers when we first met. Maybe that's it."

"Now you see, that was also a lie. If that had been the case, the Millennium Ring would have sensed it. There is nothing abnormal about your brain, but somehow you have all this foreknowledge about me."

"Well-."

"And behind all of this is a girl who mysteriously appears and claims to have no background of her origin." Bakura pounded down on her, watching her reactions. "Your parents? No attempt to call anyone you know? Not even an attempt to figure it out. There are only two reasons of why that would be."

Lizy was determined to stand her ground. "And what would that be?"

"One, you've done this all on purpose and are just some clever ruined teen trying to start fresh. Or…" He looked her dead in the eye. "Two, you're not telling the truth and hiding something very deep."

She started to feel panic rising in her chest. "Bakura, I'm telling you the truth! Why won't you believe me?"

He cocked an eyebrow. "Because you're not a very good liar. When you lie you touch your hair, and are crossed between direct eye contact and avoiding it completely. There are others, but enough for me to know that I'm right."

'Damn…I will never play poker with him.' She thought. "But Bakura-!."

He walked toward her. "Tell me what you are hiding."

Her feet wouldn't move back. "There is nothing I'm hiding!"

Bakura reached out for the injured part of her arm and harshly grabbed it, squeezing it hard. "Tell me now!"

"OW! Stop!" She yelped, trying to pull her arm away.

"Not until you tell me!" He squeezed harder.

"FUCK! BAKURA STOP!" She screamed. Her other hand worked in vain to try to rip off his grip. He mercilessly kept going.

"That voice sounds so familiar." A dark figure, along with about ten others, walked out of the alleys and shadows. The whole gang was overly buff and looked terrifying.

Lizy froze in shock and Bakura immediately let go, turning his attention to the intruders. The leader's face clicked in place. These were the same bastards who tried to kidnap and potentially rape her the night she woke up here. They were in the same downtown that Ryou had warned Lizy to never go back to at night.

"Who the bloody hell are you lot?!" Bakura demanded.

"He looks familiar too. Where have I seen you two before?" The leader took time to think. "Oh I know! You two are the runts that escaped from me the other night!"

Lizy was now horrified. She had miraculously escaped these monsters once, and now they had them cornered. She instinctively took hold of Bakura's arm, clinging onto the only thing that could offer her safety. He either didn't notice or didn't care.

"Yeah, and you're the repulsive wankers who attempted to assault an innocent girl!" The British boy growled at them all. He looked around, sizing up the situation. They had them surrounded, and were closing in.

"Repulsive? Have you looked in a mirror lately toothpick?" He scoffed.

"Hey Blaze, you could use him to clean your teeth after dinner." One of the gangers snickered.

The leader apparently named Blaze laughed. "Right, now we can do this the easy way or the hard way."

"I choose no way." Bakura replied, preparing to have to fight.

"A funnyman huh? We'll see how funny you are after we're done with you." He pointed to Bakura. "Get him and capture the girl!"

The men started to close in on them. Bakura looked down at Lizy. "Fight then run." He turned around so they were back to back.

"But Bakura I-!" Lizy stammered, scared for her life.

"Just do it!" He yelled and then some of the men rushed Bakura, who began to fight back.

The men in front of her did the same thing. They lunged at her but she sidestepped them. A hand grabbed her from behind and she pulled away, accidently launching herself at her assailants. They grabbed her and she screamed.

"Come on bitch!" One of them shouted.

Adrenaline coursed through her veins. Her fight or flight reflex told her to just try to run, but she couldn't do that. She would have to fight.

Lizy jammed her knee into the first guy's nuts, who freed one of her hands. He did the same to the second one, but this time rammed her fist into the guy's skull, making her knuckles burst with blood. With no restraints she immediately dashed out of the circle.

"Bitch, you'll pay for that!" They charged her once more. Lizy spotted a metal rod and grabbed it. Turning to her opponents, she ran at them and whacked them both in the head, knocking them out. She was about to make a run for it when-.

"Gah!" Bakura groaned, barely keeping his defenses up. He was being beat to a pulp by almost all of them at once.

As much as Lizy cared about her own safety, she had to help him. Armed with her pole, she ran to the group surrounding him and smacked the first guy over the head with it, then kicked another in his groin. She made her way to Bakura and swung at the one who was currently punching him, making the attacker crumble to the ground.

"What are you doing?" Bakura burst, obviously in pain.

"Helping!" She exclaimed, slashing at another one.

"I told you to run!" He punched a guy in the face.

"And I'm telling you that I'm not going anywhere!" Another kick to a groin brought down one more. The numbers were dwindling and Lizy tried to land a blow on the one in front of her. Unlike the others though, he was expecting it. He grabbed the pole and jerked it toward him, pulling her into him.

Bakura became momentarily distracted which allowed another fellow to sock him in the jaw.

"Make way ladies!" Blaze chanted, and everyone made a circle around him and the now bleeding Bakura.

"You don't have much room to talk." Bakura boasted.

"Bak-!" Lizy's capper covered her mouth.

"That's a lot coming from someone who just got the shit beat out of him." Blaze and Bakura started to circle around each other.

"This is nothing." He nonchalantly wiped the blood from him mouth.

"Is that so? You've got guts kid, too bad they won't do you any good!" Blaze attacked Bakura. Expecting it, he was able to dodge. The man quickly recoiled and threw a punch at him. He swiftly dodged that as well and used the man's own strength and velocity to send him hurdling to the ground.

"Not so big now, are you?" Bakura smirked and crossed him arms.

"Your gonna pay for that!" Blaze gritted and flew toward him. The teen was ready to dodge again but someone suddenly pushed him toward the leader. Threw off balance, Bakura took a blow straight to the temple, sending him crumbling to the ground. Blaze then slowly walked up to him and started to kick him in the ribs. The poor boy was trapped.

Lizy couldn't stand to watch this. She wouldn't let Bakura be broken down by this freak, not while she was around! With all the force she could, she stomped on the man's foot then head-butted his jaw. He released and she burst out into the circle.

Blaze had his back to her and now was her chance. She ran up behind him and lurched herself onto his back, holding onto him firmly.

"The fuck?!" He started to thrash around, trying to get her off.

"Bakura! Get up!" She yelled at him, trying not to be thrown off.

The said boy began to rise to his feet. "Oh no you don't!" Blaze kicked him back down.

"Come on Bakura!" She saw him starting to really struggle from pain. "All right, that's it you fucker!" Lizy positioned herself and promptly bit Blaze's ear.

He yowled in pain and threatened to throw the girl off. She clung on for dear life so Bakura could rise to his feet. As soon as he was standing, the thrashing lunatic finally threw Lizy off. She burst toward the ground and screamed in pain, body landing with great force onto the concrete.

Anger flared in Bakura's eyes. "All right, that's it, I've had enough!" His voice boomed and the Millennium Ring levitated and shined. A burst of energy knocked everyone back and they all passed out. He closed his eyes and the Ring went back to normal.

Lizy watched from the ground as this all took place in front of her. She felt her mind behind to grow hazy but she held on long enough to watch Bakura walk up to her, the Ring lit by a faint glow. He bent down and then everything went black.

Don't worry, I'M NOT DEAD! I'm sorry this took basically two weeks to get up, I had SERIOUS writer's block! (Dem blocks are made of steel!) But anyway, I hope you guy's liked it. I liked the whole "Bakura=Moon and Marik=Sun" concept personally, and also the action! Plus, I was able to use stuff from the first chapter and not make it suck anymore! Now, WHY WOULD BAKURA RISK HIMSELF FOR LIZY!? Haha, the cruel foreshadowing! Anywho, thanks for all the comments, they really go a long way! I guess that's it for now so I AM THE NIGHT, wait wrong catchphrase, PEACE OUT!
