Ben's been quiet since we left the church.
It's not until we're parked at the cemetery that he says something.

I'm confused, because we're already engaged.
"Let's pick a date. Let's make it soon."
"Hey," I say, cupping his face. "What's wrong?"
"Edward's gone. Just like that. He hadn't really lived, yet. No wife, no kids. Every time I think about that, it scares me. Because I love you so much that it hurts. I can't think about not being with you for the rest of my life. I wanna marry you, have kids that look like you. So, let's not wait anymore."
