The Land Before Time XIV
The Final Chapter
-01 My Old Friend-
Littlefoot sleeply stumbled around his sleeping place, trying to wake himself up. The great circle had already risen high in the sky. A small yelp called his attention to the ground below him, to the poor little longneck he had almost stepped on. Littlefoot sometimes forgot that his foot wasnt so little anymore.
After a quick stretch, Littlefoot met with his friends at the watering hole, as they had always done. The only difference now was that Peetree and his family had migrates a few years ago to be with some of their family. It sure is nice and quiet since he left he often thought to himself. He wasnt serious of course. He missed Peetree dearly and so did everybody else.
"The water is extra cole today" Sara noted
"Yep, yep yep!" said Ducky, quoting her younger self.
They were all a lot bigger now, and most of them had even bigger families, but they were still the same friendly dinos that Littlefoot had known all this time.
The day went on as per usual. Food was gathered, stories were told to wide eyed little ones, and eggs were guarded with the upmost care. Littlefoot found himself envious as he watched his friends going to their nests with their young. He himself had no little ones to care for, or even a mate to spend his time with. There were only a few long necks left in the great valley now and most of them had someone.
Even as the great circle faded from view, Littlefoot still wandered the dark valley. The sky was always so beautiful at night, flooded with twinkles of starlight. Littlefoot was about ready to head back when something caught his eye. A huge shadowy figure, almost his own size, coming towards him. By the time he could make out the shape, it was too late to yell "sharptoothe!" because it was already right on top of him. Littlefoot tried to run, instead tripping over his own large feet and tumbling to the ground with a thunderous boom. Suddenly, there came a voice.
"Wait, Littlefoot, dont be scared!" it said.
Sharptooths had their own way of communicating and that definetly was NOT it. He knew of only one sharptooth that could ever have spoken the same as himself.
"Chomper!?"
