Night had finally made it's full appearance over the small village. The house, which earlier was filled with pained screams, was now silent, say for a few clicks coming from the guns Sam and Dean were preparing. The two had been sitting in this silence, not uttering a single word to each other. It was safe to say that they both couldn't stop thinking about what had happened or whether Natalie was alright. They knew that in order to get this job done, they needed to have a clear mind, but that wasn't exactly going to happen. Until, they got word from David that they made it to the hospital, both of them were sitting in their own mental pool of tense questioning.

Dean placed his gun down on the table, and looked over at Sam. He was idly putting in his rounds, but reading his face, Dean knew that his thoughts were occupied. Dean looked back down at his gun and cleared his throat. "So, uh, from what happened to Nad...I'm pretty sure we're dealing with a human...instead of a monster."

Sam nodded his head offhandedly, keeping his focus on preparing their weapons. Dean sighed in defeat and leaned his hands on the table. "Listen, Sam..."

"Dean. I just want to get this done and over with, alright? The quicker we finish it...the faster we can get out of here and get to Nad." Sam interrupted him, cocking his gun in the process.

Dean casted Sam a hesitant look, then nodded his head. "Okay."

Dean and Sam put away what was left of their materials back into their bags. The door to the house was forced open, causing Dean and Sam to look up in alert. They both began to slowly reach for their guns, but soon relaxed when they saw Jake stumble through the living room.

Dean looked at him curiously. "Jake?" His face soon fell. "What are you doing here?"

Jake took a moment and leaned himself against the entryway of the kitchen. His breathing was heavy and his nose was bleeding only slightly. Jake looked up at Sam and Dean, not knowing how exactly to tell them what had happened. They both entrusted him and his dad to get Natalie to safety, and he failed at that. "Uh...s-something happened." Jake finally said.

Dean and Sam stared at Jake warily, both of them already surmising ideas as to what had happened. Dean stepped forward slowly. "Jake...where's your dad...and where's Nad?"

Jake's gaze fell from theirs and he began to shake his head in dismay. "We...we got to the car and everything was fine...until..."

"Until what?" Sam pressed.

"We, uh, got attacked by some group of...guys. I have no idea where they came from. But, my dad and I...we tried fighting them off, but it didn't do any good." Jake paused, wiping away at the blood that was streaming from his nose. "Nad, she got attacked and...I tried to get to her but...I-I couldn't reach her in time."

Sam walked around the table and stood next to Dean, his eyes completely fixed on Jake. "Then, how the hell did you get out?"

"My Dad, was able to pull the guy off of me, but it was all chaos and I couldn't...I couldn't find Nad. My Dad told me to find you two." Jake sighed heavily and ran a hand down his face. "They have my dad...and Natalie."

Dean and Sam stood in silence, their head filling with panic and also anger. Though, they couldn't blame Jake and his dad for what happened. It wasn't as if David and Jake had planned on being attacked. Dean let out a breath and cleared his throat. "Alright, so we are dealing with...people. At least we know what we're up against." Dean looked over at Sam, seeing a firm expression of anger and fear. He placed a hand on Sam's shoulder. "Sam, it's going to be alright. We're going to find her."

Sam could feel his hands begin to shake with his cluttering emotions. His mind had become so clouded that Dean's words were simply brushed away. "Sam." Dean's voice came through this time, causing Sam to look at him. "Calm down. Let's just figure out a plan and then we'll go and get her."

Sam looked up at Jake, his eyes seething with accusation. "You...you were supposed to keep her safe."

Dean turned around fully to Sam, putting his hands on his shoulders. "Sam. Don't do this, we don't need this right now."

"Dean. They were supposed to get her out of here safely and they didn't." Sam's voice burned with blazing accusation towards Jake, who had lowered his head in a shameful guilt. Sam knew that letting them take Natalie was a bad idea. Now, he was beating himself over for agreeing to it.

"Sam, enough. Let's just figure out where she is and we will go and get her out. But, you need to take it easy." Dean's hold on Sam's shoulders had tightened unknowingly in an effort to try and calm him. There was no mistaking that Dean wasn't worried about Natalie. Her condition didn't fair well before David and Jake took her, now that she was somewhere around these grounds, there is no doubt in Dean's mind that she was in worse shape now.

Jake looked back up, recovering from his own mental berate. "Listen, I think I know where they are hiding out." Jake finally spoke up. Dean and Sam looked at him curiously. "On my way back up, I was able to spot a few of them walking behind one of the hills on the far end."

Dean nodded, "Okay, so let's get ready and go after them." Dean turned around and picked up one of the spare guns, that was supposed to be used by Natalie, and gave it to Jake. "Now, these are people, so, we shoot to injure only. Alright?" Jake nodded in response, though Sam didn't say anything. "Sam? You with me on this?"

Sam picked up his gun and slid his bag around one of his shoulders. The whole time his eyes never looked up to meet Dean's. "Sam." Dean's words caused Sam to halt in his movements and he finally looked over at him. "Are we clear?" Sam's face grew hard and his eyes became flared with increasing anger. After a brief moment, Sam finally nodded his head.

Dean nodded skeptically then picked up his gun and bag. "Alright, we'll figure out a plan on the way there." He looked over at Jake. "I guess you should lead the way then."

Natalie could feel herself slowly beginning to regain consciousness. Everything soon began to fly back to her; the attack at the car and being knocked out by one of the men. That would be the explanation at the painful throbbing she felt. Natalie began to take in everything around to figure out where she was. She tried moving her body but found herself bound to a chair with her hands tied around her back. A foul odor filled her nostrils and she cringed. But, there was something about the smell that seemed familiar. Her eyes began to slowly pry open, only to be greeted by a hazy tint that clouded her vision. She blinked a couple of times, slowly doing away with the blurriness.

She found herself in, what looked like a basement of sorts. The room was filled with shelves that held various objects like; containers, boxes, tools and several items that Natalie couldn't quite make out. Her eyes continued to scan the room until they fell upon a table set in the middle. She squinted her eyes to get a clearer look at it, and found the table was covered in blood and severed fingers were lying in the pool of blood. What the hell? Her brows creased with panic and she began to squirm in her seat, only to stop from the pain coming from her side. She looked down at her wound to find that the bandage had been taken off and the bleeding had started back up again.

Natalie let out pained breaths and tried to come up with a way to get herself out of this situation. She knew that her strength was limited to the point where she wouldn't be able to do much, but she had to try at least. Natalie began to pulled at a loose end of the ropes, in the hopes that it would loosen enough for her to get out of her bonds. The sound of the basement door opening caused Natalie to freeze and she quickly halted her attempt to escape. Heavy footsteps crept down the steps and soon a man appeared into the room.

The man walked over to the bloodied table, his eyes still set on Natalie, and he grinned at her. "Glad to see that you are finally awake."

Natalie shifted in her seat, trying to rid of the pain that was burning through her from the wound. She could feel a heavy drowsiness begin to return and she fought to stay awake. There was no way she was going to pass out in the presence of this man. She could see that he was giving her a look like he had seen or met her before.

"You don't remember me, do you?" He asked finally at the confusion written on her face.

The man stepped away from the table and slowly walked over to Natalie. He knelt down in front of her, the same grin plastered on his face. "I am the same guy who gave you this." The man reached down and pressed against Natalie's wound. Natalie closed her eyes and tried biting back her cries, but soon he began to squeeze her wound and shrilling screams soon slipped past her lips. The man continued to increase the pressure, watching Natalie's reaction closely to ensure that she wouldn't pass out from his treatment. Natalie's screams soon became nothing but guttural chokes and he pulled his hand away.

The man stood up and walked back over to the table, picking up a towel from a nearby chair and wiped his hand clean of her blood. Natalie leaned her head back, taking deep breaths, trying her best to stay awake and get through the pain. "It was you." She finally said, prompting the man to turn and look at her. "You are responsible for the disappearances."

The man chuckled and threw the towel onto the ground. "Yeah. Not gonna lie. You know all of them we had to hunt down but, you and the others played right into our hands. Well, at least you and the older guy. The others we will get later."

Natalie leveled her head and groaned as the pain soon turned into a slow, deep throb. "Why? Why kidnap all of those people?"

"Simple. We needed to harvest. Stock up as much as we could for the season. Make sure that we had plenty for the guys."

Natalie closed her eyes in disgust once she realized what he had meant. "Cannibals." Natalie muttered to herself. "How did you all manage to stay off the grid for so long?"

The man shrugged, "We have our ways, I guess I should say." He pulled out a box and opened it. One by one he took out several knives and laid them out on the table. "There were points in which we almost got caught, but we managed."

Natalie scoffed lightly. "Well isn't that a shame." She looked around the room before settling her eyes on him. "Where is he? What did you do with the other guy?" Natalie asked, not wanting to give out David's name.

The man gazed at her before walking over to a door on the other side of the room. Upon opening it, the man soon dragged out a bounded David, who was barely hanging on the brim of consciousness. The man pulled out a chair and hoisted David up onto the seat. Natalie stared sadly at David, seeing him in such a state was hard for her. For as long as she had known him, David was always a man who knew how to handle a fight.

"I'll tell you what. This guy is a real fighter. Him and that other boy, who unfortunately got away." Natalie perked up at the words and felt relief that at least Jake was able to get away. "They both tried to give me and my boys a run for our money."

"Why didn't you just finish me off back at the house?" The man looked over at Natalie, his brows were creased with confusion. "I mean you had the chance. Why didn't you take it?"

"Because I knew you weren't alone. I took a risk at shooting you, knowing that there were people nearby. I couldn't afford to get caught so I thought that I would just let nature takes it's course with you."

Natalie let out a strained laugh. "Thanks for that." She answered sarcastically.

"It will all be over soon for you." The man said plainly. Natalie could feel her body tense at his words and slowly her panic began to rise within in. This guy was going to basically butcher her and store her in some disgusting freezer waiting to be consumed. The very thought caused a disgusted chill run down her spine and her hands slowly went back to word at her bonds.

"Now, if you would excuse me, I need to attend to something upstairs." The man said cheerfully before turning and walking towards Natalie. He grabbed her hands, stopping her movement, and moved his other hand back to her wound, once again putting pressure against it. Natalie sucked in a breath and strained her cries. "Don't even try it." He said into her ear before stepping away. The man made his way back over to David and lifted him up on his feet. "You're coming with me."

Natalie's eyes widened in panic, as she tried to once again to get out of her bonds, but she slowly gave up at the attempt and watched silently as he took David up the stairs. Natalie could feel her body begin to shake as a result to his treatment towards her wound. She allowed her head to hang and her breathing was beginning to grow slow and heavy. If she is supposed to die, why can't it come quicker? Natalie was tired from dealing with this unbearable pain. She could feel her eyes begin to brim with tears and she looked down at her side, seeing the blood flowing nearly continuously.

"Sam...Dean...where are you guys?"

The pain was becoming stronger and it was breaking down her body. Drowsiness soon began to wash over her and Natalie felt her eyes begin to close and felt that this time, if she closed them, she wouldn't be waking up.

Sam, Dean and Jake came upon a small cabin that was erupted in lighting. They hid behind a worn down pick up truck as they began to put together their plan. "Alright, so do we just go in with blazing guns or what?" Dean asked, his eyes glued on the house.

"Well, there were about six guys who attacked us so no doubt there are in there." Jake chimed in.

Sam readied his gun and kept his focus on the house. "I say we just go on. Catch them by surprise." Sam said, already making his way around the truck.

Dean reached forward and grabbed hold of Sam's arm, stopping him in his tracks. "Sam, maybe just waltzing in isn't the best idea."

"Why not? We have the higher arm. The more time we waste out here, the worse Nad is going to get." Sam said.

Dean could see the crazed determination in his eyes. Sam was reacting on emotional instincts and not with a clear mind. Yes, both of their goals was to get Natalie out of there, but they had to do it efficiently, not just storming in.

Dean let out a breath, realizing that Sam wasn't going to change his mind. Dean looked over at Jake, who simply nodded to him, telling him that he was willing to do Sam's way. "Alright, fine."

Dean picked up his gun and began to make his way around the truck with Sam and Jake following closely behind. The three of them walked across the lawn and leaned up against the front wall of the house next to the door. Dean slowly made his way over to the door when it suddenly opened. The three of them paused as one of the men walked out, lighting a cigarette in the progress. Dean looked back at Sam, who nodded, before walking up behind the man and hit him in the back of the head with the butt of the gun.

Sam quickly made his way over to the door, as Dean watches the body slump to the ground. Dean positions himself next to Sam, while Jake stood on the other side. "Three. Two. One." Sam grabbed the handle and threw of the door wide open. He and Dean both rush in, their guns aimed at the stunned group of people. One of the men, charged after Sam who managed to duck the attack, allowing Dean to hit him in the face causing him to fall. Sam turned back around as a man grabbed hold of his gun, knocking it out of his hands. A blast echoed through the room as the man who had attacked Sam, soon stumbled away, holding a bleeding shoulder wound in the process.

Jake swiftly made his way into the house, aiming his gun at an oncoming assailant and shooting a round that grazed his leg, sending him to the floor. Jake turned to his side, unable to shoot at his new assailant, and raised his gun up, hitting the man in the face with the side of his rifle. Jake brought his elbow sideways, hitting the man in the abdomen then brought his foot backwards, kicking him in the back of the knee. Jake turned around and kicked him in the back, ushering him towards the growing group of injured men.

Dean and Sam take a look at the group of men, realizing that were missing two of them. The entryway to another room, that was covered by a plastic strip curtain, caught all three of their attentions. Dean and Jake slowly made their way over to the entryway, their guns aimed in front of them. They both looked at each other, both nodding to one another, then swiftly walked through the curtains. Two men had David tied down to a table, with knives in their hands. Jake sent off two rounds almost instantly hitting both of the men in their upper thighs. Jake cocked his gun and then walked over to the table and quickly untied his father.

Sam walked through the curtains and saw the two men, groaning in pain over in the corner. Dean and Sam looked at each other before walking over to them, grabbing them by the arms and hoisting them up on their feet. They brought them over to the group, and shoved them to the ground. Sam assessed each and every one of them, his anger slightly dimmed from venting most of it during the brawl. "Now. Since we have all of your attentions, you have a friend of ours. Where is she?" Sam asked, his eyes scanning over each and every one of them.

The men remained silent, though their faces were laced with menacing smirks. The man, who was responsible for shooting Natalie, soon began to laugh. "That pretty little thing." Sam's eyes slowly crossed over to him, locking in a hard stare. "I'll tell you what, she sure was a lot of fun to take down."

Sam walked over to him and knelt down, grabbing the collar of his shirt. "Where is she?"

The man's smile grew and he let out a small laugh. "I wouldn't be surprised if she was already dead. I mean, I made her scream. And I mean she screamed and screamed. Oh, so much blood came out of her." He finished with a small chuckle.

Sam's face contorted into rage and he lowered his hand to the man's shoulder and pressed as hard as he could against his wound. The man's laugh was replaced with pained groans and Sam only increased the pressure, seeing the man's eyes widened. Sam leaned closer to him, "I'm going to ask this once more. Where. Is. She?"

The man choked on his groans, trying to speak so Sam would stop abusing his wound. "T-the...basement." He managed to utter, his eyes motioning over to a door at the end of a small hallway.

Sam gave the man one last look before standing up and turning around to Dean. Dean's face was filled with surprise at the most, surprised about Sam's sudden menacing behavior. It wasn't a side of Sam that Dean had the chance to experience too often and frankly, he didn't really want to.

Sam turned back around and made his way down the hallway in which the man indicated and opened the door. He quickly made his way down the basement steps and looked up, seeing Natalie in a chair, her head hanging down. Sam walked over to Natalie and knelt down in front of her, placing his hand on her cheek, raising her head to look at him. "Nad? Hey, it's me." Sam said.

Natalie felt the touch of someone's hand on her cheek, though she thought it was just the man coming back for her. But, the voice soon resonated through her ears and she opened her eyes, seeing Sam's face looking back at her. Natalie felt her body ease. "...sam..." Natalie saw Sam's face light up at her voice and she was actually happy to see his expression. Natalie saw Dean walk down the basement steps, a look of relief and shock filling his eyes. Dean made his way over to Natalie and quickly cut through her bonds.

"Dean, we have to get her to the hospital." Sam said, looking up at him.

Dean nodded and looked down at her wound, seeing that the bandage was off and the bleeding was almost out of control. He looked around the room and found a towel they could use to help stop the bleeding. Sam slid his arm under Natalie's legs and rested the other on the middle of her back. "Hang on, Nad." Sam lifted her up and gently adjusted his hold on her, as Natalie secured her arms around Sam's neck and rested her head against his shoulder.

Dean walked back over to them and placed the towel against her side. "Nad, you think you can hold this in place." Dean asked. Natalie tiredly looked down at her wound, not wanting to let go of her tight hold around Sam, but she slowly brought her hand down and pressed it against her wound. "There you go. Just keep it in place until we get to the car, Nad." Dean said, ushering Sam to the stairs and waited for him to climb them before following closely behind.

Sam walked down the hallway and into the room where Jake and David were keeping an eye on the men. Dean walked up from behind Sam and approached Jake. "We have to get Nad to the hospital. Is there any way..."

Jake nodded, "Take her and get out of here. My dad and I will take care of these guys. My dad's working on getting a connection with the police."

Dean nodded and placed his hand on Jake's shoulder. "Thanks. For the help." Jake smiled and patted Dean on the shoulder, motioning for them to leave.

Sam and Dean made their quick exit from the house and briskly made their way across the lawn, towards the hill that led back down to where the car was. Dean quickened his pace to get ahead of Sam, to make sure the Impala would be set for them to take off immediately. Sam managed his speed, adjusting his hold on Natalie every once in a while. Natalie's arm that was still secured around his neck, was slowly starting to loosen, prompting Sam to panic slightly. "Hey, Nad. Just hang on alright. We're almost to the car."

Sam made it to the edge of the hill and slowly made his way down the incline. Dean was already at the Impala, the back door was open and he waiting near the open door for Sam to arrive. Sam reached the bottom of the hill and picked up his pace to a slow jog and rounded the corner, feeling some sense of relief at the sight of the Impala. Upon reaching the car, instead of setting her down in the backseat, Sam slid in through the door and settled himself in the back with Natalie in his lap. Dean quickly shut the door and ran over to the drivers side, bolting in and quickly starting the car. "Dean, let's go!" Sam called out. Dean put the car in gear and sped through the trail, back onto the main road, towards town.

Sam looked down at Natalie, her eyes were closed and she had become still. Sam's arm pulled her closer to him while the other secured the towel against her side. "Nad?" Sam said, gently shaking her. Natalie groaned in response, her hold tightening just slightly around him. "Come on, Nad. Stay with me."

"...sam..."

Sam pulled Natalie closer to him upon hearing her say his name. His hand against the towel on her wound, instinctively pressed down a little harder, wanting to make sure the blood flow would slowly cease. "It's okay, Nad. I'm here."

Natalie could feel everything seemingly slip away from her. Sam's voice was slowly becoming distant and her hold on him would gradually loosen, prompting her to tighten it. The towel against her side had become heavy with the amount of blood that had soaked the fabric and it wasn't doing her any good. Natalie could feel the blood streaming in small streaks down her side and the pain was now beyond anything she had imagined. Now, she began to think, would be a good time to just let everything good. To finally allow darkness to finally consume her and to allow the pain to stop.

She was here in the presence of Sam and Dean, everything was alright now. She wasn't going to die in that basement and she wasn't going to be butchered by crazy cannibals. Being here in the Impala with Sam and Dean, was an ideal setting for Natalie to slip away. She moved the hand near her wound and gently placed over Sam's hand that was trying to stop the bleeding. A small smile crossed her lips as she finally, finally, allowed herself to rest. Her hearing descended into nothing, her body grew numb and her eyes filled with darkness.

Sam looked over at his brother. "Dean! Speed up!" Sam called.

The grip on his collar suddenly loosened and he looked back down at Natalie, seeing her eyes were closed and she wasn't moving. Sam adjusted his hold on her, shaking her gently. "Nad?" He asked, though he didn't receive an answer from her. Sam began to shake her again, trying to get some sort of response from her, but again, he got nothing.

"Nad?" Sam moved his hand away from the towel and rested it against her cheek. "Nad?...Hey!"

Sam's call alerted Dean and he quickly looked back. "Sam? Is she alright?"

Sam began to shake his head as he felt around her neck for a pulse. One spot after another, Sam then found her pulse, but it was very weak and he began to panic. "Nad! Hey, stay with me! Nad!" Sam called out, holding her closer to him. "Just hang on, Nad."

The sounds of cars and the siren of an ambulance filled her hearing. Panicked footsteps and panting breaths began to mix in with the car horns and the sound of doors sliding opened made a quick appearance. "We need help! She's been shot!" Dean's voice echoed with a muffled resonance. Natalie felt her fingers begin to twitch back to life and the feel of rough fabric beneath her fingers, assured her that she was still in Sam's arms. The squeaking of wheels entered the abundant of noises and her senses spiked by the feel of a fairly soft mattress come up beneath her.

Natalie eyes opened to a squint and a bright, blinding light shined down on her. She blinked several times, only able to get a semi-clear picture of Sam and Dean standing on either side of her with the walls flying seemingly past her. She only then pieced together that she was on a gurney. Natalie looked over at Dean, his hand holding onto hers and she then looked over at Sam who was holding onto her other hand. I'm still alive. Natalie opened her mouth to try and say something, when one of the nurses stopped Sam and Dean from going any further. Their hold on her hands broke and she soon felt herself begin to panic. She wanted Sam and Dean with her. Natalie leaned her head up, her eyes fixed on their retreating figures.

One of the nurses placed an oxygen mask over her face, causing Natalie to look wildly around her. Her eyes met those of a middle aged woman, who looked down at her with sympathy. "Just breathe and you will fall right to sleep." Natalie shook her head in protest, not wanting to fall asleep without Sam and Dean with her. Her eyes focused back in front of her, Sam and Dean were retreating farther and farther away from her sight and she could feel her heartbeat begin to speed up. Soon Natalie could feel herself become increasingly tired, but she tried fighting against it. Though, this time it was much more powerful, no doubt coming from the mask that she was wearing. Natalie kept her focus on the direction in which Sam and Dean were for as long as she could, before her vision merged together and darkness came over her once again.
