A/N: So this chapter is half filler and also the lead up to when everything gets back into the game. So halfway into this chapter we kind of jump ahead to when Nad will be well enough to actually do things, instead of just hanging around the house.

Natalie picked up her handgun and felt it around in her hands, making sure to refamiliarize herself with the weight of the weapon. She picked up the ammo clip and clicked it in place. The trip to the hospital to change out her stitching for adhesive strips was an ideal move on her part. Her wound had healed enough to where the stitching could come off, but the doctor wanted to keep some sort of bandaging on it until it had fully healed. Though, she could argue that she felt just fine without the strips, but Natalie couldn't put up an argument, especially when Marina was with her.

Though, after Natalie's little conversation with Sam, Marina had been all over her about Natalie's denial towards how she really felt. In the forefront of her mind, Natalie had been reassuring herself that Marina was just talking nonsense. But, in the back of her mind, Natalie knew that it was the truth. It was just a matter of time before she would be able to come to terms with it, and accept it.

Though for right now, Natalie could settle for shooting at the makeshift target Bobby still had up. Might as well practice shooting a gun with this injury. Natalie stood her ground, aiming the gun towards the target, her finger gently brushing against the trigger, when the sound of her ringtone soon went off. Natalie rolled her eyes and sighed, placing the gun on the table and pulled out her phone. "Hello."

"Hey, Nad." Dean's voice came through the other end. "How are things going on up there?"

Natalie hummed silently. "Fine, I guess. Got my stitches off a few days ago."

"Well, that's good."

Natalie scoffed. "Yeah, but the doctor was adament on giving me sutures just in case. It was really annoying actually."

Dean's laugh on the other end caused Natalie to smirk. "Oh, by the way. What happened between you and Sam?" Natalie could feel her body stiffen as she bit the inside of her cheek. "I mean it sounded like you to kind of had a little...dispute more or less a couple of days ago."

Natalie let out a heavy sigh and dragged a hand down the side of her face. "Yeah, it was...it was stupid. I just over reacted about something and just...yeah. I don't even know what's wrong with me anymore."

Dean hummed in response, already knowing what was going on with Natalie. In fact, he knew how both Natalie and Sam felt, and it was frustrating that neither of them were accepting the fact. A part of him wanted to force both of them to confront these conflicting feelings, but the other part forced him to stay out of it. It was between Sam and Natalie, and they needed to sort it out for themselves.

Natalie took the silence from Dean as her que to try and forward the conversation. "So, uh, where are you guys now?"

"Massachusetts. Just finished up a case."

Natalie blinked at Dean's words. "Wait, did you say Massachusetts?"

"Yeah. Why?" Dean asked curiously.

"Uh, it's nothing sorry. So, did everything go down smoothly"

"As smooth as it usually gets. Though there is a lot more that happened up here." Dean's voice hesitated towards the end.

"Like, what?"

Dean's voice paused and Natalie could hear him and Sam mumbling in the background, though she couldn't make out what they were saying. "We'll tell you about it when we get back to Bobby's."

Natalie perked up at the words, her brows furrowing. "Um. Okay. When will you guys be back?"

"I'd say a few hours, we're not that far out."

"Alright, well I guess I'll see you guys soon then."

"Wait, Nad. Do you want to talk to Sam?"

"Um. No. Uh, I'll just...talk to him when you guys get back I guess. I'd rather do it in person...than over the phone." Natalie answered back. Though, she really didn't want to talk to Sam in that moment. Natalie didn't know what she was going to say, so she tried to buy herself some time to think about it.

Dean let out an annoyed sigh. "Alright then."

"Alright. Well I'll see you two soon then." Natalie pulled the phone away from her ear and placed it down on the table with a sigh. Her eyes fixated on her phone, silently debating on whether she should try and call Sam. Try and give him an explanation for her little outburst a few days earlier. Her hand began to unconciously reach for her phone, just call him. Natalie's hand halted, a conflicting mind battle ensuing and she made a snap decision and reached for the gun instead. Taking a breath, Natalie stood back in her former position and aimed the gun at the target. Just going to get my mind off of it. Natalie thought to herself before setting off a few rounds.

Natalie reloaded the gun with a new clip of ammo and raised her gun, shooting off a couple of rounds. "Nad!" Natalie halted, dropping her arms to her side and turning around, to see Marina looking at her with a slightly surprised look. "What are you doing?"

Natalie shrugged, "I'm making sure that I can still shoot." Natalie motioned at her side before turning back around and proceeded to shoot off a few more rounds, causing Marina to jump and yelp. Natalie stopped again and turned back around to her sister.

"Nad! Just...stop! Please, at least not when I'm close to that...thing." Marina motioned toward the gun in her sister's hand.

Natalie looked down at the gun and then shrugged. "Sorry." She eyed her sister lightly and smirked. "You want me to teach you how to shoot?" Natalie asked, holding the gun out to her.

Marina stepped back slightly, immense hesitation in her eyes. "Um. No. I'm good."

"Alright." Natalie walked over to the table, placing the gun down.

Marina walked up next to Natalie, "So, have you talked to Sam and Dean?"

"I just got off the phone with Dean, said they will be here in a few hours." Natalie answered back.

"So...you and Sam..." Marina began to say.

Natalie picked up her phone and sighed annoyingly, turning to look at her sister. "Mari. Stop. Just stop."

Marina casted Natalie a light smirk and nodded her head. "Fine, I'll stop."

Natalie's eyes narrowed at her sister. "You really aren't going to stop this, are you?"

Marina pressed her tongue on the side of her cheek, pretending to ignore Natalie's question. "I'm just saying—' Marina began.

Natalie rolled her eyes and groaned in frustration. "Really Mari!" Natalie walked away from the table and made her way towards the house.

Marina smiled as she began to follow Natalie back to the house. "Nad, come on you can't keep ignoring..."

Natalie shook her head, trying to ignore her sister. "I'm not listening Mari..."

"Come on, Nad. Don't act like this." Marina said, walking up alongside Natalie, the smile never leaving her face.

"Whatever, Mari." Natalie walked onto the porch, opening the front door.

"Well, I need to get going." Marina said, stepping off of the porch.

"Where are you going?" Natalie asked.

"I've taken up my time off at work and I need to get back. But, i'll be back soon to check on you." Marina answered back, walking over to her car.

Natalie sighed with relief, glad that her sister was leaving so that she could have some time to herself, though she had to admit that she loved the time she had spent with Marina. And by time to herself, it meant that Marina wouldn't be bothering her about Sam, which is exactly what Natalie needed right now. Just thinking about it was giving her a bad headache. "God I need to lay down."

Natalie adjusted the warm rag over her face, flipping it to the other side and lying it back down, letting out a satisfied sigh. She could feel her headache slowly beginning to melt away. The silence that she had been lying in soon was filled with the sudden sound of wings flapping. Natalie immediately sat up, the rag falling off of her face, and saw Castiel standing near Bobby's desk, looking down at her.

"Cas?" Natalie asked, gently pushing herself up from the couch.

"Natalie." Castiel gave a small nod, but his eyes soon narrowed in a questioning look. "What are you doing here? Why aren't you with Sam and Dean?"

"Um. Well, on the last hunt...I got injured. So I've been staying here so I could heal." Natalie blankly replied.

Castiel's face contorted into a confused expression. "You are hurt?"

Natalie pursed her lips and nodded. "Yeah. But, it's not a big deal anymore. I mean I'm almost healed completely."

"I'm sorry I wasn't there...to help." Castiel's shoulder slumped in it's posture.

Natalie smiled faintly. "Cas, it's fine really." Her brows furrowed. "But, why are you here?"

"Sam and Dean." Natalie nodded, her brows raising in question. "I need to see them. Where are they?"

"Um, well, I talked to Dean about..." Natalie pulled out her phone to check the time. "..about an hour or two ago, they were on their way back. Why, what's wrong?"

"Something...something really bad has happened." Castiel replied.

Natalie folded her arms across her chest, "What happened?"

"It's kind of hard to explain. And I'd rather talk about it when they return."

Natalie nodded her head in understanding, "Okay. I'm pretty sure that they will be—'

The roar of the Impala driving up the pathway cut off Natalie's sentence. Bobby came wheeling into the living room, "Well, they're back." Bobby said, looking up surprisingly at Castiel. "Well, didn't know you were coming here."

"I need to speak with Sam and Dean." Castiel responded.

The front door opened and Natalie could hear Dean and Sam's footsteps coming closer to the living room. She had to admit that it was nice seeing Sam and Dean again, since being cooped up in this house has been driving her nuts.

"Hey...Cas?" Dean asked confusingly. "What are you doing here?"

"An urgent matter has come up." Castiel began.

Dean and Sam looked at each other, their faces filling with confusion. Dean cleared his throat, "Alright. So what's going on?"

"It has to do with Anna..." Sam and Dean's brows raised in surprise at the mention of the angel. "...and you Sam."

So we are getting back into the game again! I know this wasn't a long chapter and I apologize for that. Don't forget to drop me a review! Xx
