Natalie walked out of the bathroom, while brushing her teeth and threw her night shirt onto her bed. She casually looked around the room, while still trying to keep the toothpaste in her mouth. Sam and Dean had gone to get info on the case and they didn't bother waking her up, therefore, she slept in more than usual. There was no doubt in her mind that the boys did this on purpose. This caused Natalie to groan in annoyance, causing some of the toothpaste to stream out onto her chin. She quickly wiped it up with her finger and ran to the sink, spitting out the toothpaste, before going back to brushing.

The motel door opened and Natalie looked up in the mirror, seeing her eyes hardening with her slight frustration at Sam and Dean. She turned around and walked out of the bathroom, stopping when she saw Sam and Dean.

Her arms raised in questioning. "Why didn't you guys wake me up?" Natalie asked, though it was difficult for anyone to hear her due to the fact that she was talking with the toothbrush still in her mouth.

Dean raised his brows, putting his hand against his ear, "Sorry, I didn't understand what you said."

Natalie rolled her eyes and pulled out her toothbrush. "Why didn't you guys wake me up? That way I could have gone with you two to get info on the case."

Dean smiled, removing his hand from his ear. "There we go, I can understand now. We just thought we would let you have some more rest."

"I'm fine. I don't need to get anymore rest." Natalie protested.

Dean nodded skeptically and walked over to the table and sat down. "Okay, whatever you say Nad."

Natalie sighed and walked into the bathroom, spitting out what remained in her mouth and quickly rinsed. She grabbed a towel and wiped her mouth, then walked back out of the bathroom. "So, what did you guys find out about the case?" She asked, walking over to her bed, picking up her sweater.

"Well, while Sam went to take a look around one of the victim's house, I went ahead to the morgue to check out the bodies...and." Dean paused, causing Natalie to turn around to him, her brows raising in curiously.

"Yeah, what did you find?" Natalie urged him.

"The victims they—they took chunks out of each other." Natalie narrowed her eyes confusingly at Dean, her head tilting to the side. Dean saw her confusion and cleared his throat. "Like they bit out chunks from each other...they ate each other to death."

Natalie's face fell, then her expression contorted into disbelief. "Wait, did you just say that they 'ate each other'?" Dean nodded his head. Natalie continued to run the words through her mind and the very thought just wasn't sinking in. "Okay, when you say ate each other you mean like...actually ate each other, like..." Natalie raised her arm up and pretended to bite down on her arm.

Dean smiled at Natalie's little motion, but nodded his head nonetheless. "Yes, Nad. That's exactly what I meant."

Natalie's expression changed from disbelief to finally disgust. "Oh my god. That's...that's messed up!"

Dean scoffed, "Yeah, tell me about it. Their bellies were just full with human flesh..."

Natalie raised her hand up at Dean. "Okay, don't. I don't need to hear the details. I already had to deal with one group of cannibals." Natalie walked over to the table and sat down in the spare chair next to Dean. "So, what made them...eat each other?"

"We don't know yet. I checked for EMF, sulfur. Nothing. Ghost possession and demonic possession are most likely out of the question." Sam answered.

Natalie scoffed and nodded. "Never heard of a ghost or demon making two people eat each other, though."

Dean hummed at Natalie's words. "But, that's where I was putting all of my money at."

Sam shrugged. "Well, there really isn't that much we can do for today. I guess, I'll just go through some files, Nad you want to help with that?"

Natalie nodded, "There's nothing else for me to do so, why not?"

Sam nodded and began to pull out some files. "So, Dean, go ahead and unleash the kraken. We'll see you tomorrow morning." Natalie smiled at Sam's words, taking one of the files and pulling it closer to her.

"Where am I going?" Dean finally asked.

Sam looked up at Dean, a little surprised at his question. "Dean, it's Valentine's Day. Your favorite holiday, remember? I mean, what do you always call it—unattached drifter Christmas?"

Natalie snorted at Sam's words, looking over at Dean. "Oh, yeah. Well...be that as it may, I don't know. Guess I'm not feeling it this year."

"So you're not into bars full of lonely women?" Sam asked incredulously.

"Nah. I guess not." Dean replied, taking a drink from his beer, looking over at Natalie and Sam, seeing the looks on their faces. "What?"

"That's when a dog doesn't eat. That's when you know something's really wrong." Sam replied.

"Remarkably patronizing concern duly noted. Nothing's wrong, alright? Now are we gonna work or what?" Dean grabbed one of the files and began to look through it.

Natalie looked over at Sam, seeing a worried expression on his face. His eyes focused on hers, both of them registering what the other was thinking. Natalie pressed her lips in a thin line, then opened up the file, her eyes beginning to skim through the documents.

Natalie began to fiddle with her shirt as it began to irritate her side, it wasn't painful, it was actually a really annoying feeling. She let out a frustrated sigh, pulling at the side of her shirt once again, then stopped, feeling the sensation had ceased. She sighed with relief and looked up to see Sam staring at her.

"What?" Natalie pulled her jacket closer to her body. "It was bothering me."

Sam smiled and shook his head as the three of them continued their walk down the corridor of the medical center. A man walked towards them, and Natalie moved out of the way, allowing him room to pass.

She looked over at Sam, seeing that he was looking at the man with an odd expression. Her eyes looked down the hallway at the man then back to Sam. "Sam? Are you alright?"

Sam snapped out of his little trance, looking down at Natalie, he quickly nodded his head. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine." Natalie nodded her head skeptically.

"Agent Marley, you just can't stay away." A man's voice soon appeared next to them.

"Heard you tagged another double suicide." Dean responded.

The man nodded his head. "Well, I just finished closing them up."

Dean nodded, then turned to Sam and Natalie. "Dr. Corman, this is my partner, Special Agent Cliff. And our Intern Sarah Allen."

Dr. Corman gave both Sam and Natalie a small nod. "Well, Agent Cliff, I've finished my prelims. I pulled the organ sets and sent off the tox samples."

"Great. You mind if we take a look at the bodies?"

"Not at all. But like I said, their good-and-plenties are already tupperwared."

Sam pursed his lips and nodded. "Great."

"Leave the keys with Marty up front. And please, gentlemen...and lady...refrigerate after opening..."

Natalie gave him a small reassuring, yet hesitant smile. "You don't need to worry about a thing."

...

Dean brought over a small tub that contained one of the victims hearts and sat down at the table where Sam and Natalie were at. "Hey." Dean said, pushing the tub over to Sam. "Be my Valentine?" Natalie looked up at Dean, seeing the satisfied grin on his face and she laughed in amusement.

Sam's face fell, giving Dean a look. He looked down at the heart, his eyes recognizing something familiar. "Whoa, wait a second." Sam pulled the tub closer for him to inspect. "Nad hand me that tub over there." Natalie looked to where Sam was pointing and quickly handed it to him. "These hearts both have identical marks."

Sam brought the magnifying glass over the tub, focusing on the point where he was looking. "It looks like some kind of letter. Oh no." Sam sat back against his seat. "Take a look."

Natalie moved closer to the glass and looked through, seeing the small letter engraved on the organ. "That's looks very...familiar."

"I think it's Enochian." Sam answered.

Natalie looked over at him. "Wait, you mean like what Cas put on our ribs?"

Sam shrugged. "I really don't know."

"Ah hell." Dean pulled out his phone and dialed out a number.

Natalie looked back down at the symbol, analyzing it for only a few more seconds. "Wait, if there is an Enochian letter on this heart, then won't that mean—"

"I'm there now." Natalie stopped mid sentence and looked up, seeing Castiel standing in front of Dean.

"Yeah, I get that."

"I'm gonna hang up now."

Castiel put his phone in his coat pocket and walked over to the table. Sam pushed the tub to Castiel, who picked up the heart with his bare hand. Natalie bit down on her lip, knowing that Castiel didn't have a problem with it, but she did.

"By the looks of those, they look like Enochian marks." Sam said.

Castiel viewed the mark for only a moment longer. "You're right Sam. These are angelic marks. I imagine you'll find similar marks on the other couples' hearts as well." Castiel concluded, after examining the organ.

"So, what are they? I mean, what do they mean?" Sam asked.

Castiel placed the heart back in the tub. "It's a mark of union. This man and woman were intended to mate."

"Okay, then who put them there?" Dean asked.

Castiel began to wipe his hand on the edge of the tub, in an effort to rid of the blood that had coated his hand. "Well, your people call them Cupid."

Natalie narrowed her eyes. "Wait, did you just say Cupid?"

"What human myth has mistaken for "Cupid" is actually a lower order of angel. Technically it's a cherub, third class."

"Cherub?" Dean questioned.

"Yes, they're all over the world. Dozens of them."

"Wait a minute, you mean the little flying fat kid in diapers?" Dean asked.

"They're not incontinent." Castiel replied.

"Okay, anyway. So, what you're saying—'

"What I'm saying is a Cupid has gone rogue and we have to stop him, before he kills again."

Natalie's brows raised and she began to nod her head. "Yep. That's naturally what's supposed to happen."

Natalie idly drank her tea as her eyes scanned the restaurant they were currently sitting in. A waitress comes over and sets down Dean and Sam's food.

Sam looked over at Natalie. "Are you sure you didn't want anything?" Natalie didn't stop her drinking as she looked over at Sam briefly, before shaking her head.

"So, what, you just happen to know he likes the cosmos at this place?" Dean asked Castiel.

"This place is a nexus of human reproduction. It's exactly the kind of—' Castiel watches as Dean begins to put ketchup on his burger. "-of garden the Cupid will come to pollinate."

Dean brought the burger to his mouth, then paused and eyed it, before setting it back down. "Wait a minute. You're not hungry?" Sam asked.

"No." Dean replied, seeing the look on Sam's face. "What? I'm not hungry."

"Then you're not gonna finish that?" Castiel asked as he reached over and brought the plate over to him. His eyes gaze up at a couple over at another booth. "He's here."

Natalie stopped her drinking and looked over at Castiel, then turned towards the direction he was looking at. "Wait, where?"

"There." Castiel responded.

"You mean the same-side-of-the-booth-couple over there?" Dean observed.

"Meet me in the back."

Natalie turned back to find that Castiel had vanished. She quickly got up from her seat, taking on last drink of her tea. "Well, let's go then."

...

Sam entered the back room, with Dean and Natalie following behind. "Cas, where is he?"

"I have him tethered." Natalie walked up next to Sam, seeing Castiel's hand hovering in mid air. "Zoda kama mahrana. Manifest yourself."

The three of them begin to look around the room, trying to find this Cupid, but they don't see anything. "So, where is he?" Dean asked.

Natalie looks to the side, not seeing anything, when she heard Dean grunt. She looked back over only to see Dean being hugged by, pretty much a naked Cupid. Her eyes widened as she looked over at Sam, seeing an equal expression of surprise.

"Help!" Dean called out.

"Oh, help is on the way. Yes, it is." Cupid spoke, his voice sounding like he was talking to a young child. "Hello, you!" Cupid quickled dropped his hold on Dean and walked over to Castiel, throwing his arms around him

"This is Cupid?" Dean asked.

"Yes." Castiel strained to answer back.

Cupid turned around and Natalie felt her body freeze, thinking he was looking at her, and felt the need to move as he advanced towards her. Luckily, he walked right past her and made his way towards Sam.

"No." Sam turned away only to have Cupid appear in front of him, his arms wrapping around him.

Natalie backed up towards Castiel and Dean. "Is this a fight? Are we in a fight?" Dean asked in a quick succession.

"This is, their handshake." Castiel replied.

"Their handshake?" Natalie asked in disbelief.

"I don't like it." Dean answered.

"No one likes it."

Cupid finally let go of Sam and then the moment Natalie had dreaded. His eyes landed on her and a huge smile appeared on his face. "Come here."

Natalie gave him a hesitant smile, as she began to shake her head. "No, I'm good..."

Cupid began to advance towards her, "Yes, come here."

Natalie quickly walked behind Castiel and Dean, trying her best to avoid Cupid. As she walked out from behind them and turned to face Sam, Cupid appeared in front of her, lifting her up in a very tight hug. Natalie felt like her breathing had stopped, as his hold began to tighten slightly. "...okay..." Natalie choked out.

Sam quickly walked up to Cupid, grabbing his arm and breaking up his hold on Natalie. "Alright, big guy, let her go."

Cupid let Natalie down, without hesitation, allowing her and Sam to step back away from him, and he walked forward to Dean and Castiel. "So, what can I do for you?"

"Why are you doing this?" Castiel asked.

"Doing what?"

"Your targets, the ones you marked—they're slaughtering each other."

Cupid's smile disappeared. "What? They are?"

"Listen birthday suit." Dean began. "We know, okay? We know you been flittin' around, popping people with your poison arrow, making them murder each other."

"What we don't know is why." Castiel finished.

"You think I. Well, uh...I don't know what to say." Cupid buries his face in his hands as he begins to cry.

Dean and Castiel both back up towards Natalie and Sam, as the four of them watch Cupid have his little moment. "Should...should somebody maybe, go and talk to him?" Sam finally asked.

"Yeah, that's a good idea. Give 'em hell Cas." Dean said, patting Castiel on the shoulder.

Castiel slowly walked up behind Cupid, his hands cupping together. "Listen, um, we didn't mean to..." He turns around to look at the three of them, only to receive silent looks urging him to continue. "...to hurt your feelings."

Cupid quickly turned around, hugging Castiel once again. "Love is more than a word to me, you know. I love love. I love it! And if that's wrong, I don't want to be right."

"Yes, yes of course." Castiel began to awkwardly pat Cupid's back. "I, uh...I have no idea what you're saying."

Cupid pulled away from the hug. "I was just on my appointed rounds. Whatever my targets do after that that's nothing to do with me. I was just following my orders." Cupid's eyes lit up. "Please brother. Read my mind. Read my mind, you'll see."

Natalie silently watched the little interaction between Castiel and Cupid, when Castiel finally turned around. "He's telling the truth."

"Jiminy Christmas. Thank you."

Dean looked back at Sam and Natalie, then walked towards Cupid. "Wait, you said you were just following orders?"

"Yep."

"Whose orders?"

Cupid gave Dean a look as he began to laugh. "Heaven, silly. Heaven."

"Why does heaven care if Harry meets Sally?"

"Oh, mostly they don't. You know, certain bloodlines, certain destinies. Oh, like yours." Cupid motioned between Dean and Sam.

"What?"

"Yeah, the union of John and Mary Winchester—Very big deal upstairs, top priority arrangement."

Dean bit down on his lip. "Are you saying that you fixed up our parents?"

"Well, not me, but...yeah. Well, it wasn't easy either. Ooh, they couldn't stand each other at first. But, when we got done with them—perfect couple."

"Perfect?"

"Yeah."

"They're dead." Dean finished, his voice had now been laced with a growing anger.

"I'm sorry, but...the orders were very clear. You and Sam needed to be born. Your parents were just, uh, meant to be." Cupid smiled. "A match made in heaven-heaven!" He began to sing.

Natalie's eyes narrowed at Cupid, feeling a sense of annoyance with him, but soon they widened as Dean punched Cupid in the face.

"Son of a bitch." Dean groaned as he held onto his throbbing hand. Natalie looked up finding that Cupid had disappeared.

"Where'd he go?" Dean asked.

"I believe you upset him." Castiel responded.

"Upset him?" Dean repeated.

"Dean. Enough!" Sam said, walking towards him. "You just punched a Cupid!"

"I punched a dick!" Dean bit back.

Sam looked back at Natalie, who raised her brows at him, before turning back to Dean. "Okay are we going to talk about what's been up with you lately or not?"

"Or not." Dean said, as he walked past Sam then brushed past Natalie, without saying another word.
